WRONG.......THE DEVIL MIS-QUOTED THE SCRIPTURE
And that would add validity to your argument concerning the Catholic church giving us the bible!
And are you sure the devil misquoted the scripture? You sure about that? I know the Catholic church has a lot of mis with the truth: misinterpretation, misapplication, misunderstanding, but I ain't sure the devil misquoted when he quoted scripture to Eve and Jesus.

Why don't you read it and find out.

Every Catholic I know makes the disctinction between being CATHOLIC and Christian.....and they all to a man believe the false crap peddled by the Catholic Church....everyone needs to get over this misnomer of believing that one is Christian just because they identify themself with Christ!

And if you have followed me you know full well that I have said numerous times that I am not saying that all Catholics are lost, just that the dogma pushed by the Catholic church is false..... ;)
We are in agreement on this brother. :)

I never met a catholic yet who didn't think they were Christians.......that is what they are told.
Yet they are ignorant of most any part of theology.

No, I do not deny that "GOD is the author of the bible and all scriptures within".

However, cannot agree with your denial of the historical fact that the Catholic Church canonized our Bible.
And that you don't consider Catholics to be our brothers and sisters in Christ.
Nor your claim that "Catholicism has zero to do with Christianity."
Explain where Protestantism came from.
What is a christian? JOHN 1, 12 is in my eyes an clear statement.
No belonging to a church ore a group. No batism as baby, No belonging to a christian family makes you to an christian. Do you have the Holy Spirit? if not then you are no christian.
I raises up in an chatholic protastant family. Non of them are christians according Gods word. And I thought till i was 25 that i am a christian, because i was baptised as child and got the confirmation and belong to the protestant church. I prayed to God, but said i dont need Jesus. The same thinking I found a lot among catholics and protestants.
Dont tell me they are christians, solong they dont have Jesus, as the bible says!

and John 1:13? John 1:12 and 13 are one complete sentence.

as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name who werer born NOT of the will of the flesh, or of the will of man, but of GOD.

He has caused us to BE born again 1 Peter 1:3 AMEN

Seems strange the Roman Catholics claim the bible is their doing when they never read it.
They just burn it. And anyone who does read it.

Apocrapha was written BETWEEN the old and new testaments and authorship was unknown....and was never accepted by the Jews as scripture, yet catholics call them scripture and put great emphasis on those verses that they think support their odd dogmas.... like prayers for the dead.

That's true is a lot of cases but not all. That can also be said for those that attend a church other than a Catholic church too.

Certain Jews were charged by God to have scribes write the scrolls and decide which scrolls to be canon or in other words, the bible as it is known today. Of course, apocrypha didn't make the cut. Interesting books for sure but not inspired by the Holy Spirit and were intentional left out of the official canon.

yes, there are assorted pew sitters in all denominations, people who attend but are not really THERE.
The problem for catholics in particular is that they deny the finished work of Christ and have a lot of gods they pray to.....plus making Mary part of the Godhead......really a no-no.

As with any cult, that is just the tip of that iceburg.

In other

In other words you are Catholic and wrong again. By default.
'why would you think I am catholic?
My doctrine is the polar opposite of theirs......I am "calvinist"

SPURGEON QUOTES
You cannot vanquish a Calvinist

.You may think you can, but you cannot. The stones of the great doctrines so fit into each other that the more pressure there is applied to remove them, the more strenuously do they adhere. And you may mark that you cannot receive one of these doctrines without believing all.

I believe nothing merely because Calvin taught it, but because I have found his teaching in the Word of God.

The doctrines of original sin, election, effectual calling, final perseverance, and all those great truths which are called Calvinism though Calvin was not the author of them, but simply an able writer and preacher upon the subject are, I believe, the essential doctrines of the Gospel that is in Jesus Christ. Now, I do not ask you whether you believe all this it is possible you may not; but I believe you will before you enter heaven. I am persuaded, that as God may have washed your hearts, he will wash your brains before you enter heaven.

I believe the man who is not willing to submit to the electing love and sovereign grace of God, has great reason to question whether he is a Christian at all, for the spirit that kicks against that is the spirit of the devil, and the spirit of the unhumbled, unrenewed heart.

I have dealt with many of them having had family, friends, co-workers etc....and they all have said....I am not a Chrisitian, I am a Catholic.....so.....all I can do is go by my life's experiences with them......they despise Christianity push come to shove for the most part.....

There has to have been an authority appointed by God to decide which writings are to be considered the Word of God otherwise how can anyone be sure if any books in the bible were inspired by the Holy Spirit to be written and preserved.

Lol well Calvin would say he was Reformed if he was alive today . Let’s be honest only Jesus Christ is better .
That being said those in Christ are better off but not better until glorified.
Blessings

I prefer not to condemn whole groups of people.
Wanting rather to give everyone the benefit of the doubt as an individual.

Who is to say that someone cannot come to Christ just as I did, despite their church affiliation.
God called me, why couldn't he call them? And they will stay where they are until God moves them.
I suppose I'll get quite a beating for saying such a heretical thing. So be it.

Tell the truth is love, not condemn. To let people oN the wrong way is hatred, not love.
