do you believe this person is a believer?
Knowingly believe false ? I don’t think that’s actually possible given the meaning of believe . If you know something is false you can’t actually believe it because you know it’s false it erases the possibility of believing it

For “believe” to mean what it does it needs the thought that something is true.

Dino246 just admitted to believing Jesus Christ endorses heresy by overlooking heresy.
No he didn't. Why make a thread where you intend to disagree with everyone who answers? You don't want an answer, you want to be right. So why bother?

You're chasing your own tail here. What's your point?
Think about what the term believe means . You couldn’t possibly know for sure something is false and also believe it’s true .

If the question is “ if someone knows something is false and chooses to follow it “they aren’t acting because they believe but because they don’t believe. They are simply choosing evil rather than good knowingly but not because they knowingly believe the lie

People who hate correct doctrine are ruled by the devil.
I don't know if this has been covered on this thread already (have not read the whole thing) but I cannot picture a person saying I refuse to believe correct doctrine and choose to believe a gang of lies instead. In II Thessalonians we read that people are deceived when they do not love the truth and while that is being applied to those without God, it seems to me that it might also apply to those who say they are believers yet remain in deception.

There are people who have no idea they are deceived (that is how deception works) and they simply follow a preacher or teacher or even a friend but that would make a good case for each person studying and asking questions and not just following blindly as some do.

Most people would rather go to hell then to believe correct doctrine.

I've now read enough of this thread and your (cough) answers to mosey on out of here. Doctrine does not save you. I am positive you are not correct on everything you think is 'correct' or you would not be acting like a blowhard with your trite answers.

That's right. However, Jesus is the only one who can claim all knowledge and all truth. You? Not so much.

Your premise is ridiculous and now having read several of your answers in other threads, I think you need to get out of that Mexican heat. Tootles

People will fight to the death to go hell rather than believe correct doctrine. They will even try to convince themselves that God will allow them to get away with believing false doctrine just because they call it true.

Most people choose to continue in that which they know is heresy. The majority of people have been warned many times to not continue to embrace false doctrine and they keep doing so no matter what. They believe false doctrine just to try to spite God.
People who know their doctrine is heresy cannot believe their doctrine is true. They can lie, and profess to believe what they know is heresy.
