1 Corinthians 10:11
(11) Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
Ensamples = Types

What this is saying is that Israel coming out of Egypt was a type of God's church in the end.

Hosea 12:13
(13) And by a prophet the LORD brought Israel out of Egypt, and by a prophet was he preserved.

Because Israel coming out of Egypt was lead by a prophet then God's church in the last days will also be lead by a prophet. Revelation confirms this.
Revelation 12:17
(17) And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
Revelation 19:10
(10) And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
Revelation 22:8-9
(8) And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things.
(9) Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.

These verses confirm that God's true church would keep the commandments of God and be lead by a prophet. All this is coming from the BIBLE only.

Did you even read the scriptures you quoted? Those scriptures do not "confirm" what you said they do at all.

These verses show that believers are to keep God's commandments, yes. Where you consistently err, is you don't know what these commandments are. You incorrectly assume they are the old covenant commandments. Sorry, but I'd like to welcome you to the New Covenant. The commandments being reference are the ones that Jesus commanded to the apostles for the world to keep when they were sent out to disciple all nations.

Matthew 28:19-20

"19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations...20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you..."

You can find these commands of Jesus Christ to the apostles through reading the letters that the apostles wrote to the churches as they were being obedient to Christ to disciple them in His commands. You do not find any command whatsoever that involves following the old covenant- "the ten commandments".

You interpreted these scriptures with a complete lack of context.

Also...

these verses do not say anything close to the idea that God's church would be lead by "a" prophet.

The idea that God's true church is lead by "a" prophet is a famous line from a popular cult that comes to my door every so often and I gladly show them in the scriptures that God's church has never been, and never will be lead by "a" prophet. I'm amazed you're knocking on so many doors by your post with the same line. This is just getting weird.

Does the scripture say...

"And He Himself gave..."a" prophet...to lead the church..."?

or does it say...

"And He Himself gave some [to be] apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ"

Now if God's church in the last days will not keep the commandments of God including the Sabbath and will not be lead by a prophet then people will need to show from the Bible that it is not so and show the truth about God's church from the BIBLE.

http://christianchat.com/bible-disc...venth-day-adventist-ask-me-13.html#post761368

The Holy Spirit within us teaches us all things. There is no need for us to rely on a single prophet to teach us new revelations God tells him, that could be any pastor, or follower of Christ.

1 John 2
27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
28 And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.
29 If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.

again:
there is no need for one man to guide the church through prophecy, in the last days God will pour out His spirit upon all flesh.

Acts 2:17

And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

Again, this is on a large scale. Blessings for multitudes.

On top of this we have a warning. Jesus is telling His disciples in Matthew 24 what to expect at the end of the world before His coming and He warns us with these words regarding prophets.

11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

"any man who claims to be a prophet is already wearing bright red warning flags"

the law including sabbath?
Galations chapter 5

*is circumcision law?

5 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
2 Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.
3For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.
4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.
5 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.
6 For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.

Again, "faith which works by love."

14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

"when we walk in the Spirit, we are lead by the Love of God and against such guidance from the Holy Spirit there is no law"

God bless :)

please don't take what I said as "we have no law, we can do whatever we want." I am saying that we don't have a list of laws to follow, the law that guides us is the Law of Love through the Spirit of God that lives within us, guiding us and teaching us all things and in that we can be confident."

p.s regarding Gods rest.

I always stay in Gods rest :) every day of my life. Amen.

I would like to go over the doctrines of the SDA church one by one using only the Bible.

These are the fundamental beliefs of the SDA church. We will go over them one at a time. These are taken from the SDA church site.

1. Holy Scriptures:
The Holy Scriptures, Old and New Testaments, are the written Word of God, given by divine inspiration through holy men of God who spoke and wrote as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. In this Word, God has committed to man the knowledge necessary for salvation. The Holy Scriptures are the infallible revelation of His will. They are the standard of character, the test of experience, the authoritative revealer of doctrines, and the trustworthy record of God's acts in history. (2 Peter 1:20, 21; 2 Tim. 3:16, 17; Ps. 119:105; Prov. 30:5, 6; Isa. 8:20; John 17:17; 1 Thess. 2:13; Heb. 4:12.)

Do you agree with this? If not show from the Bible why you disagree. This way people can find out what the official teachings of the SDA church are and whether they agree or not and study the Bible on these things

satan was defeated, in case you haven't heard.
there's a controversy over God's "sovereignty over the universe"? that's classic GNOSTIC theology.

God is sovereign over the entire universe: Ps 103:19; Rom 8:28; Eph 1:11
God is sovereign over all of nature: Ps 135:6-7; Mt 5:45; 6:25-30
God is sovereign over angels & Satan: Ps 103:20-21; Job 1:12
God is sovereign over nations: Ps 47:7-9; Dan 2:20-21; 4:34-35
God is sovereign over human beings: 1 Sam 2:6-7; Gal 1:15-16
God is sovereign over animals: Ps 104:21-30; 1 Ki 17:4-6
God is sovereign over "accidents": Pr 16:33; Jon 1:7; Mt 10:29
God is sovereign over free acts of men: Ex 3:21; 12:25-36; Ez 7:27
God is sovereign over sinful acts of men and Satan: 2 Sam 24:1; 1 Chr 21:1; Gen 45:5; 50:20

Well if you think about it, we are caught in the middle of the war between Christ and Satan. God fights to save us, while Satan fights to destroy us and will continue to do so until the day he is destroyed. It is indeed a great controversy. It is his defeat at Calvary that allows men to be saved in the first place. Alas, so many will choose hell over heaven.

I agree there is also a controversy over God's sovereignty in the universe. Speak to any atheist, see what they think about God and his sovereignty. Ever heard anyone say "If God is love, why is there so much hate in the world?" "If God is so great, why is there sin in the world?" "If God is so powerful, why are all these bad things in the world?" ect, ect.

A Great Controversy Indeed.

Fundamental Beliefs

18. The Gift of Prophecy:
One of the gifts of the Holy Spirit is prophecy. This gift is an identifying mark of the remnant church and was manifested in the ministry of Ellen. G. White . As the Lord's messenger, her writings are a continuing and authoritative source of truth which provide for the church comfort, guidance, instruction, and correction. They also make clear that the Bible is the standard by which all teaching and experience must be tested. (Joel 2:28, 29; Acts 2:14-21; Heb. 1:1-3; Rev. 12:17; 19:10.)

BIBLE

Deuteronomy 18 22 that which the prophet speaketh in the name of Jehovah, and the thing is not, and cometh not -- it is the word which Jehovah hath not spoken; in presumption hath the prophet spoken it; -- thou art not afraid of him.

An Unbroken String of Failures Predicting Christ's Return

The 1856 prediction was the last in an amazingly unsuccessful series of predictions of Christ's return made by Ellen White. Lucinda Burdick, a friend of Mrs. White in the 1840's, explains how Mrs. White often predicted Christ's return:

I became acquainted with James White and Ellen Harmon (now Mrs. White) early in 1845. ... She pretended God showed her things which did not come to pass. At one time she saw that the Lord would come the second time in June 1845. The prophecy was discussed in all the churches, and in a little "shut-door paper" published in Portland, Me. During the summer, after June passed, I heard a friend ask her how she accounted for the vision? She replied that "they told her in the language of Canaan, and she did not understand the language; that it was the next September that the Lord was coming, and the second growth of grass instead of the first in June." September passed, and many more have passed since, and we have not seen the Lord yet. It soon became evident to all candid persons, that many things must have been "told her in the language of Canaan," or some other which she did not understand, as there were repeated failures. I could mention many which I knew of myself.

Once, when on their way to the eastern part of Maine, she saw that they would have great trouble with the wicked, be put in prison, etc. This they told in the churches as they passed through. When they came back, they said they had a glorious time. Friends asked if they had seen any trouble with the wicked, or prisons? They replied, "None at all." People in all the churches soon began to get their eyes open, and came out decidedly against her visions; and, just as soon as they did so, she used to see them "with spots on their garments," as she expressed it. I was personally acquainted with several ministers, whom she saw landed in the kingdom with "Oh! such brilliant crowns, FULL of stars." As soon as they took a stand against the visions, she saw them "doomed, damned, and lost for ever, without hope." (An Examination of Mrs. Ellen White's Visions, Miles Grant, Boston: Published by the Advent Christian Publication Society, 1877)

Despite her failures in 1844 and 1845, Mrs. White continued predicting Christ's imminent return. In 1849 her associate Joseph Bates announced that the "time of trouble has began." In the summer of 1849 a local pestilence struck the region. Mrs. White, seeing this as a fulfillment of prophecy indicating the end of the world, predicts this pestilence will soon become widespread:

"What we have seen and heard of the pestilence, is but the beginning of what we shall see and hear. Soon the dead and dying will be all around us." (Present Truth, Sept. 1849).

(Note: Not long after this prophecy was penned the pestilence ended and the United States entered a period of relative peace and prosperity that lasted for many years. The above quote was removed from the article when it was republished in Early Writings in 1882 and few Adventists are aware of its existence.)

By April of 1850 Mrs. White was claiming that the final shaking had begun:

"The mighty shaking has commenced." (Present Truth, April, 1850)

Meanwhile, her husband James was claiming that the departure of God's people from Babylon (Rev. 18:4) was already completed:

"Babylon, the nominal church is fallen. God's people have come out of her. She is now the 'synagogue of Satan' (Rev. 3:9). 'The habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and the cage of every unclean and hateful bird' (Rev. 18:2)." (Present Truth, April, 1850)

On June 27, 1850, Mrs. White wrote that only a few months remained for the people to get ready:

"My accompanying angel said, 'Time is almost finished. Get ready, get ready, get ready.' . . . now time is almost finished. . . and what we have been years learning, they will have to learn in a few months." (Early Writings, pp. 64-67).

This is a very significant statement. Mrs. White was saying that the truths that she and her associates had spent five years learning would have to be learned by new converts in only a few months. By September of 1850 Mrs. White was warning that Jesus was nearly finished in the Most Holy Place:

"I saw that the time for Jesus to be in the most Holy place was nearly finished, and that time cannot last but a very little longer. ... The sealing time is very short and soon will be over."—Experience & Views pp. 46-47.

Last time I checked the name Cenallen is not in the bible. Cenallen if I did not know better I would say your jealous of Ellen G White, are you sure your not trying to take her place as a prophet. If so I don't see any fruit. Sorry your not a Prophet I haven't seen you use the bible at all to prove your point only web sites, Maybe we should make a web site about you with second hand info but wait that would be baring false wittiness and the bible says that's wrong. Exo 20:16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.

cenallen never claims to be a prophet, God's messenger.
cenallen is not a freemason (or co-mason in EGW's case)

i believe you are a victim of this cult, not a perpetrator.

i've used Adventist and White estate info, and have tons of primary sources.

Ellen White lied to all the people who followed her. she lied about everything.
it was her mission to do so.

AS ABOVE, SO BELOW.

just look at how this young lady's distress is dealt with by SDA professionals. it's criminal.
i know of two of the SDA 'contributors' who soothed her (justified) fears and worked to dispel the prompting of the Holy Spirit to test what she had found.

Can somebody please explain to me why these men on this picture put their hands in their coat? I am worried because it is also known as the "hidden hand" that shapes history used by many freemasons and men like Stalin.

You think you know but do not. Jesus said "Father forgive them for they know not what they do". You and jimmy diggs have attacked us saying we are of the devil and Freemasons and have called us liars and make us out to be deceivers. In spite of all your attacks I will pray for you and forgive you both for all the attacks and false accusations.

I read that SDA's believe salvation is only full and final when a person has "endured to the end" and not before (this belief makes it a work of self and not a free gift from God).

At the moment a person is saved they are sealed by the Holy Spirit and it's eternal. If an SDA really believes salvation is a gift from God through the finished work of Jesus then why is it they believe they also play a part in gaining eternal life? I also read that you don't believe you have assurance of eternal life but rather you find out on judgment day. It is too late then. We have eternal assurance at the moment we are saved...so anyone who is unsure is not really saved.

Also, you believe that Sunday is the mark of the beast and all who acknowledge that church day are going to hell? While I agree that the Sabbath was changed from Saturday to Sunday, it's important to have Christ in our lives everyday and not just one day each week. Observing the wrong Sabbath day would not cause anyone to lose their salvation (salvation cannot be lost) or go to hell for it. The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. It's a time for rest, fellowship, building each other up in the body, recharging our batteries for the week ahead, sharing our gifts, learning more from God's word. You can do this in your house or in a church building... any day from Mon-Sun.

Just my thoughts.

We don't believe works save us.

Eph_2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Rom_10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Heb_11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Rom 3:28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
Rom 3:29 Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:
Rom 3:30 Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.
Rom_3:31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

Heb 12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
Heb 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Heb 12:3 For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.

If someone can't be lost then there is no point in Satan seeking whom he may devour.

1Pe_5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

This is a warning to Christians not the world. Faith is how we stay in Christ.

Eph_6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Faith is our armour with out it you can not stand until the end.

Please I understand your just putting your thoughts down. But Opinions are just that ''Opinions'', the bible is the only truth. Please use the bible to make your point or it dos not hold water.

Mat_24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
Mar_13:13 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

The lord loves us to much to leave us the way he found us so therefore he sanctifies us. Here let peter Explain:
2Pe 1:5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
2Pe 1:6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;
2Pe 1:7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
2Pe 1:8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
2Pe 1:9 But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.
2Pe 1:10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:
2Pe 1:11 For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Mar_2:27 And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath:

Yes the Sabbath was made for man as a day of rest that dos not disregard keeping it.Heb 10:24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
Heb 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

Never did I say we should all not keep the Sabbath, was just stating that it's important to have Christ in our lives everyday and fellowship with other believers is important, but a person is not going to hell if they don't attend church every week... it does not affect our salvation. But your religion says that you will go to hell if you fellowship on a Sunday??
