The death and resurrection of Christ is something they think is for babes, not knowing it is essential for our everyday walk. They don't even see that Jesus is interceding for them continually, it's just them and the spirit.
This is what I have difficulty with - don't understand what you are saying here.
and what's with the "it's just them and the spirit."

But when a converted person receives the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the sign of speaking in a new tongue, then when we
pray in the Holy Spirit we have direct access to our Father by the Spirit ...
For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. - Ephesians 2:18
Our prayers come up to our Father to the throne of grace. Direct access by his Holy Spirit.
We have direct access by one Spirt who speaks His words of understanding through the God's tongue. The Gospel. The new tongue believers speak . Our prayers have nothing to with unknown languages, noises , that has to do with those who proudly fall backward in judgment. A sign against those who believe not the word of God's tongue prohecy

What is the difference between fulfilling scripture and mysticism?
The Holy Spirit is also the Spirit of truth and leads us to the truth of Jesus and the Word of God.
Mysticism is about secret knowledge that gives personal advantage and often leads to power and riches in this world, but
in the end one does not arrive at the truth [Jesus].
Appearances by the angel "Gabriel" in caves to men in history does not lead to any Godly truth.

Speaking in a unknow tongue and falling backward as evidence of a unknown is about secret knowledge that falsely gives personal advantage and often leads to power and riches in this world, but in the end one does not arrive at the truth . But does arrive and the foundation of the doctrine in Isaiah 28 . The unknow mystical tongue makes it to no effect.

Appearances by the fallen angel in the wilderness in history (Mathew 4) does not lead to any Godly truth. it led the Son of man to repeat three time as it is written . Trying the widen the authority of God word with unknown should be a waring to you A Waggles . yet forall that you still make unknown noises and fall backward for some secret private reason.???

The difference is Christian walk by faith as it is written. While some who follow another Christ mediator walking by unknowns or wonders called mysticism (no faith needed for hearing God) Called will worship in Colossian 2.. But rather they must seek after wonderment and be amazed. The gospel of excitement. The side show.

Hymns of worship that are sung in their heart... go like this...called; "We Love to tell the unknown Wonders" Beah htevvy tiiaetuol oopawfreb , tier nottttesss nien Hmmmmmm. ompa lumpa umpdodee (pause) fall back make sure some one is there to catch or #$@&%*!? . Take 2.

No. Because Jesus is our mediator, whereas mystics claim to have a direct line to God.
The question is,are charismatics mystics, not, what is a mystic.

Mystics and "walking in the spirit,on fire saints " are both spirit led.
One by demons, the other by God.

Because i read the bible and pray, and a satanist reads the bible and prays does not make me a satanist,or he a christian.

Charismatics have been misunderstood and mislabled.
They are stereotyped into oblivion.

Jesus said"my sheep hear my voice"
We know him and his voice.
Jesus said,"if a son asks for bread, the father WILL NOT put a snake or scorpion in his hand"
IOW, Not only is God not evil, but he PROMISES satan can not touch a babe asking his Father for the Holy Spirit.
Neither can satan invade and possess a person praying for salvation.
Satan can not cross certain lines. Especially the blood.

The word says " the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life"
Cessationists say "that spirit stuff is dangerous"
Full gospel believers know the opposite is true.
Enjoying the feast at the Fathers table and his presence, and his voice, confirmation, and his warm smile and approval.
A tangable ,alive, living fellowship in the spirit
Walking and conversing with him.
That is done in the spirit.
The cross and the blood are foundations, not vehicles for anointing.
Anointing comes to the hungry. Not the satisfied.
God is a God of Purpose. The anointing is for purpose. Always has been.
The anointing is Spirit centered.
The anointing is Holy Spirit centered.

A demon spirit has a smell.
A full gospel Holy Ghost filled believer knows the smell of the false.
If you walk in a house and they are cooking fish, you wont expect them to serve lamb. You know what is cooking.
Demon spirits are like that.
Jesus can not be decieved. The word and the Spirit.
Jesus is the word, the Holy Spirit is the Spirit.
All the paranoia over the Spirit is opposite of God's plan.
Ironically, safety is found in the Spirit emphacised.
The believer seeks the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Spirit points men to Jesus.

Salvation is always Holy Spirit dominated, for it is he that convicts, illuminates, plows the heart in preparation for Jesus inhabitation.

That is why,in a crowd listening to an evangelist, only a few or none gets saved. Only those that were PREVIOUSLY convicted and arrested by the Holy Spirit respond.
The only exception are those instantly "smitten" on the spot.

Only through the baptism in the Holy Spirit, can the real picture emerge.
The believer becomes spiritual.
Walks in the fruit of the Holy Spirit, but also in the Power.
Nothing at all to be afraid or paranoid of.

What does it make those who God mocks with stammering lips?

That's confusing. Men rejoice in the unknown and call it faith that sets men on fire casuing them to fall backward?

What's that a sign to the fiery judgment of God ? falling backward un der the fiery judgement is used several time to indicate a person is undered the judgment of God.( No grace) Yet for all that they still fall backward to confirm something? What does falling backward slain in the spirit represent .Belief (faith) or unbelief (no faith) and therefore not understanding.... simply mystical... a wonderment that sets a emotions of fire.

Isaiah 28:11-13 King James Version (KJV) For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people. To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear. But the word of the Lord was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and "fall backward", and be broken, and snared, and taken.

Yes and no.
Are we quibbling over dictionary definitions?
Faith is a gift from God. When I was born new again by the indwelling Holy Spirit I received the gift of faith that validated my
seeking for God through believing the gospel.

Can't serve two masters. yes ,yes or no, no ? Faith as a law does not provide doubt . The opposite of faith is unbelief, no faith. Christians can doubt when denying the faith in unbelief .He must increase as we decrease.

Cause and effect? or effect as the cause? .

Validates im seeking us? Or us seeking Him?

Scriptures inform us that God is of one mind and always does whatsoever his own souls pleases . We are informed because of that that it is he the performs that appointed to us as our imputed righteousness. (Job 23)

We are not born with a understanding of who God is or his plan of salvation. Even Jesus as the Son of man the one used to represent the righteous one not seen learned in knowledge and grew. we must have His understanding before we can believe the good news.

The Jews who required as sign before they believed turning the gospel up side down and made it about the temporal giving them a false zeal for understanding and taking away the understanding of faith. .No man of his own volition can come. They it would seem do not know which way to turn in order to hear. God as in all cases must to the first works .His first love for us.

As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.Roman 3:10-11
I quibble over definitions. I think they are important in a discussion.

When you attempt to belittle something that you don't really understand you lump a lot of people into a group and create animosity (potentially).

I wanted to find out what people are actually against when they speak out against mysticism.

So far I think it is just people that don't call on the Lord Jesus Christ. In all other respects Christians appear to be just like mystics. As far as what I've seen defined as mysticism.

Perhaps they have no concept of the incarnation and it's importance, so every thing is a direct connect with God.

Again, if they are truly led by the Holy Spirit then they had to have come through Calvary. Too many try to bypass Calvary and end up being led by other spirits.

Isn't the Holy Spirit God?

Isn't the Lord Jesus God?
Last time. .Jesus is fully God / fully man, thus...

1 Timothy 2:5 NKJV
[5] For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus,

...as man He is our mediator.

Christians come through faith in His Word.
Unbelievers must come via faith in the message of the cross (aka the Gospel).
But the point is there is no direct connect between man and God as mystics try to portray.
We have a living relationship with the living God on account of the Way God has provided, no other way.

I agree with you. I don't want you to think that I think there is some other way other than the Lord Jesus Christ.

I just get confused when you say Christians do this and mystics do that and I think to myself, well Christians do that too....

I guess it boils down to the fact that the object of our faith is rooted in a real person, in real history, backed up by demonstratable proofs which source is outside of ourselves, whereas the mystic's source is self inspired by satanic lies.
