Water baptism is not in the law of Moses. The OT provides foreshadows of what later became a NT reality after Jesus' death, burial and resurrection. (Mark 1:1-5, Luke 3:3, 24:47, Acts 2:38...)
Jesus in the Jordan River

The tvilah is the act of immersion in naturally sourced water, called a mikva

Although the term "baptism" is not used to describe the Jewish rituals, the purification rites in Halakha, Jewish law and tradition, called tvilah, have some similarity to baptism, and the two have been linked. The tvilah is the act of immersion in naturally sourced water, called a mikva.[2][unreliable source?][3] In the past Hebrew Bible and other Jewish texts, immersion in water for ritual purification was established for restoration to a condition of "ritual purity" in specific circumstances. For example, Jews who (according to the Law of Moses) became ritually defiled by contact with a corpse had to use the mikvah before being allowed to participate in the Holy Temple. Immersion is required for converts to Judaism.[4] Immersion in the mikvah represents a change in status in regards to purification, restoration, and qualification for full religious participation in the life of the community, ensuring that the cleansed person will not impose uncleanness on property or its owners.

baptism is the beginning of the gospel not the law of Moses
Which is the of oil of God to be Spirit Baptism over water. John said he must decrease, Christ must increase. John Baptizes with water, yet Christ Baptizes with the Holy Spirit of God his Father, Only one Baptism, one Faith, one Lord
Yes, that be truth, that has been turned to untruth by Evil getting people to be under Law to get choked to death and have to go to others, not God all in all to get advice, as if God is not alive or does not talk to us his children, God is alive and knows the truth of God's words, and freely gives this to his children in belief to his love and mercy of Son for them.
Satan came to Jesus in the Desert and used the Bible scripture of the first Testament to get him lost in it
And Jesus told the truth of those scriptures satan, Evil was using to get him under his thrall
Jesus, thank God refused and stood in trust to his Father only, all the way to willing death to save us the people that will choose to believe God and not be thwarted as in religion did me at first.
"Man does not live by bread alone, Man lives by the word of God, above everything else. That in truth only God knows and tell us, truth in us, as his precious children that believe Son Jesus is risen for them to be new and led new, no more of the self is the call. Reckon self as dead by the done work of Son, thank you Romans 6:1-12

Philippians 3:1-2

King James Version

3 Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not grievous, but for you it is safe.
2 Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision.

We are called to be new in the risen Son for us all, to believe God and stay in that as I am elated I see you do that too, thank you Brother
As we each in belief continue daily to grow up in God's maturity

Repentance, water baptism and receiving the Holy Ghost are all required of believers in order to experience the NT rebirth. To understand what applies to what requires rightly dividing the word of truth.
it seems like people forget in the beginning of the gospel everyone in the region was being baptized for repentance and remission of sins by John in water while he was preaching that the messiah was about to come forth to pardon sins and preach the good news like the ot proclaims . They were all willing to get baptized . It was different than today.

“The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God; John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins. And there went out unto him all the land of Judæa, and they of Jerusalem, and were all baptized of him in the river of Jordan, confessing their sins.

And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized of John in Jordan. And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him: and there came a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭1:1, 4-5, 9-11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

But then also

“After these things came Jesus and his disciples into the land of Judæa; and there he tarried with them, and baptized.

And John also was baptizing in Ænon near to Salim, because there was much water there: and they came, and were baptized. For John was not yet cast into prison. And they came unto John, and said unto him, Rabbi, he that was with thee beyond Jordan, to whom thou barest witness, behold, the same baptizeth, and all men come to him. John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.

Ye yourselves bear me witness, that I said, I am not the Christ, but that I am sent before him. He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all. And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony. He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true. For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.

The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand. He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.”
‭‭John‬ ‭3:22-24, 26-28, 31-36‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“When therefore the Lord knew how the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John, (though Jesus himself baptized not, but his disciples,) he left Judæa, and departed again into Galilee.”
‭‭John‬ ‭4:1-3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Jesus disciples were baptizing people in Jesus name his followers those who believed in him even before he died still before he even began to preach the gospel fully after John was imprisoned shortly thereafter

Before he died and also after he died and rose new believers and converts to Christianity . Throughout the book of acts the act of baptism is always practiced of importance before and after the Holy Ghost is received . And at least four times were told they were baptizing in water in Jesus name for remission of sins

Both examples show that baptism doesn’t have to happen before the Holy Ghost is received but baptism in th e name of Jesus needs to happen because the doctrine really declares it so. Clearly and it’s faith we’re supposed to believe the effects of baptism Paul’s teaching

Such as Roman’s 6 , ( baotized into his death with promise of resirrextion desd to sin) Colossians 2 , ( circumcision of Christ ) Galatians 3 .( clothed with Christ one with him hiers of Abraham fether of many nations ) He’s telling us all this depth of what baptism means to us in Christ but then we argue about what baptism into Christ Jesus for remission of sins even is 😅 we’re as humans hung up on “ is there any water involved in baptism

People need to accept God's word concerning when sins are remitted in association
with the shed blood of Jesus Christ. It reveals something quite different.

Acts 10:43~ All the prophets testify about Him that everyone who believes in Him receives forgiveness of sins through His name.

The verse was provided to correct your assumption of when sins are actually remitted.

Many scriptures confirm that obedience to water baptism is, by God's design, when individuals' sins are remitted. (Mark 1:4; Luke 1:76-77, 3:3, 24:47; Acts 2:38, 10:43, 47-48; Rom 6:3-6, Col. 2:12-13)
Again, your stuck in a false idiology

Mark 1 4 has nothing to do with anyone being saved, or receiving remission of sin. it was to point people to Christ, who would purchase remmision of sin

Luke in the same way, was to give people KNOWLEDGE of how to be saved. and recieve remission of sin

Luke 3 was preaching again to repent, to recieve remission of sin,,

Acts 2 does not say what you continue to think it says, Romans 6 has no water involved, Col 2 has no water involved.

Not t mention you reject John1: 12, John 3: 14 - 18, and all the other passages which chow the gospel and being justified apart from water baptism.

All scripture is given by inspiration of God...for instruction in righteousness, etc. (2 Tim 3:16-17)

As revealed in Acts 10:43-48, the command to be water baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus is required along with being indwelt by the Holy Ghost. This parallels what Jesus stated in John 3:3-5.
You own passage proves you wrong

Acts 10: 43 To Him all the prophets witness that, through His name, whoever believes in Him will receive remission of sins.”

No water baptism

Acts 10: 44 While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who heard the word. 45 And [o]those of the circumcision who believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles also. 46 For they heard them speak with tongues and magnify God.

Then Peter answered, 47 “Can anyone forbid water, that these should not be baptized who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?

These people already recieved the gift of the spirit Which proves they already recieved remission of sin, Just like Peter said in acts 2. because they repented and believed.

and just like in Acts 2. Peter then said because they recieved the gift of the spirit. they should be water baptized.. Not in order to get remission of sin or the gift of the spirit

As for John - as is typical. You reject that Jesus told Nicodemus how john 3: 3 - 5 takes place. and it is not through water baptism, it is through the cross. and those who look to the cross in faith. as seen in John 3: 13 - 18
13 No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man [b]who is in heaven. 14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 that whoever believes in Him should [c]not perish but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
18 “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God

No matter what you want to try to say, Jesus left the word baptize out for a reason when he told him HOW to be born again, Because it is not required..

so thank you for your great verses, which sadly does not support your view, but actually counters your view.

Obedience to water baptism in the name of Jesus for remission of sin was not required of those living in the OT. As Jesus prophesied, it was to begin in Jerusalem and continue to spread into all nations. (Luke 24:47)
So they just had to have faith (the faith of abraham Romans 4)

But we actually have to do work. where they did not have to?

You can not see you are teaching two different gospels. one for the OT and one for the new. and the new actually takes you to work, where in the Old, no work was required. and you can not see how silly this is?

“Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.”
‭‭John‬ ‭3:5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, ( water )

and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”( spirit )
‭‭Acts‬ ‭2:38‬ ‭KJV‬‬
Water Brother is not the water of this world. It is the Amniotic fluid, known now as Amniotic from the woman's womb
Read the clarification in John 3

John 3:1-6

King James Version

3 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:
2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.
3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

The above is a free gift, not of any work(s) of mankind. If is, then there be a reason to boast over it as is going on in religious Churches today. Yet I am elated Christ is being preached, Whether of contention, strife or sincerely. God reveals the truth to all his kids with the proper motives.

No, AI born of man is of flesh and blood and Son Jesus does not save this, religiosity work of man.
First born of flesh, as not in with Father, a sinner, an unbeliever as the first Adam was and ate from that tree in unbelief first. All flesh born afterwords, is born as dead to God. No flesh can please God, but Son's that did to for us to be new in ?God's Spirit and Truth, to come to see to be no ,anger alive to the flesh and blood nature and to not fight with against anyone else either

Be Baptized in Spirit and Truth of the Father and Son for you

Ephesians 4:5
One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

Thank you Father for Son to save us in his resurrected life that you raised back to life for the disciples and over 500 witnesses to see, where his one time willing death forgave us all (1 John 2:1-4, 12) to repent to you from death, we all are first born in this world from man and woman. In thanksgiving and praise to this truth of Psalms 103:12 fulfilled now Thanks giving and praise Psalms 100:4
Amazing grace, Thank You Father and Son as Won (One) for each in belief to you in this done truth for us to be in. Wow as in Isaiah 6:1-7

Go Brother, Amen thank you as hoping us all, including Wansivic to see to simply believe to take on God's rest for them too as in Hebrews

Hebrews 4:9-13

King James Version

9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

Father, cleanse me. Father thank you for your Son Jesus that did this cleanse, at the cross once for us all to believe you and stand in that truth for us to see the freedom to choose with you in your view, not the self or anyone else anymore, thank you.
Father, should I get water Baptized? Your choice, I, God by Son took care of the sin issue through Son for you. (John 1:29) (John 19:30) Law fulfilled as said in (Matt. 5:17, that Son came to earth to do, is now done) Stand in belief and harm no one else, thank you, even though you can. I Love you through it all, for you to see in belief to not do it as a free choice to not do that anymore, as did.
I chose, to not harm anyone ever again as have done that in past in religion of telling others they better or else, putting others under Law, that Paul talks about in Romans 7verse 10 especially, for to see what causes worse sin in us. It is by being under Law to do that the first chosen could not do as revealed in all the years prior to Son's reconciliation for us all to believe God and stand inn that truth, thank you

God simply loves us all y'all. start right there inbelief to this love and mercy of Son given us at that cross. Thanks

Man's wishful thinking can not trump the word of God. The word is the final authority as to what is required concerning salvation.

"He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day." John 12:48

"Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." John 8:31-32
so if they didn’t continue they went to Hell? If we dont continue we go to Hell? If we’re on our death bed and we have a bad thought or accidentally say something short tempered we go to Hell? If the thief on the cross did this then He went to Hell?

That’s what I did. Have you ever thought about your boneheaded statements throughout this thread. At no point did you acknowledge how to get saved. How could you possibly know how to receive the Holy Spirit when you called Jesus a liar, saying that baptism was required or you would go to Hell?

The thief on the cross died under the OT. The command of water baptism in the name of Jesus for remission of sin was instituted after Jesus' death, burial and resurrection.
Wow, that’s reaching. What about when Jesus told the disciples their names were written in the Book of Life. So if a person over in the jungle gets saved and dies before baptism, they go to Hell? Anyone who isn’t water baptized goes to Hell? What about someone who dies not confess Jesus but is water baptized? Either way I guess, if they don’t consult you guys, then they go to Hell, why don’t you post how many ways a person can go to Hell when they’ve supposedly done Romans 10:9-10.

@Wansvic @Lamar Both of you have alluded that:
-if any person who prays anything close to the EXAMPLE I listed would go to Hell.
- If any person is not FULLY immersed in water would go to Hell.
- Romans 10:13 is a lie.

Please fill us in on exactly how a person gets saved. Keep in mind what you stated, indicating there is no other way, according to you.

Speaking those exact words are necessary to be saved?
Here you are, a “senior member” and you have no mor discretion than that? Are you saying that if a person prays the EXAMPLE I posted then they will go to Hell?

Say a prayer, "speak Exact words(?)", write it down, and save it to "be saved"?

Precious friend(s), I would say: Hardly; my second wife asked me after we
got married: "Did my prayer save me"?: my Biblical answer: No! Because:

"What Saith The Scripture?" about "What Must I do to Be Saved?",
Today, Under God's Grace!:

God's Responsibility:

"But God Commendeth His Love Toward us, in that, while
we were yet sinners, Christ Died For us..." (Romans 5:8 AV)
"Being Justified Freely By His Grace Through The
Redemption That Is In Christ Jesus" (Romans 3:24 AV)
God's and man's responsibility:

"For By Grace Are ye Saved Through faith; and that Not of yourselves:
it is The Gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. "
(Ephesians 2:8-9 AV)
man's responsibility:

"Believe on The Lord Jesus Christ, and thou Shalt Be Saved!..."
(Acts 16:31 AV)

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and
shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the
Dead, thou Shalt Be Saved." (Romans 10:9 AV)

"Therefore we conclude that a man Is Justified by
faith without the deeds of the law." (Romans 3:28 AV)
"That we should be to The Praise Of His Glory, who first trusted

In Whom also after that ye believed, ye were Sealed with That
Holy Spirit of Promise, Which Is The Earnest of our inheritance

Praise Of His Glory. " (Ephesians 1:12-14 AV)

After receiving God's Free Gift Of Eternal Salvation, learn:
Therefore Being Justified by faith, we have Peace With God
Through our Lord Jesus Christ: By Whom also we have access
by faith Into This Grace Wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope
of The Glory of God." (Romans 5:1-2 AV)
+
"...Much more then, being now Justified By His BLOOD, we
Shall Be Saved From wrath Through Him. For if, when we
were enemies, we Were Reconciled To God By The Death
Of His Son, Much More, Being Reconciled, we Shall Be Saved
By His Life. And not only so, but we also joy in God through
our Lord Jesus Christ, By Whom we have now received The
Atonement." (Romans 5:9-11 AV)

Hence, believing, trusting, and placing 100% faith In God's
Gospel Of Grace! Given to Paul, for us:

"For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received,
how that Christ Died for our sins according to The Scriptures;
And that He was buried, and that He Rose again the third day
according to The Scriptures: " (1 Corinthians 15:3-4 AV)

Thus, there is no asking/speaking, but:

First,
belief, trust, and faith with "ALL your heart" allows God "To Save you!"

Then, after that, it would be the Right Time "to pray and Give
Thanks Unto God," eh?

Follow-up with Confusing 'water' baptism? No, learn Scriptural Truth
first, and then "make your own decision" not on what multitudes of
Confused denominations say, But Based On The Truth God Says:

There is NO water Today, Under Grace = Only One [ Spiritual ] Baptism!

For God's Glory, bears Repeating:
One [ Unifying ] Baptism Cancels All Confusion!

Amen.
A near perfect reply.

The emphasis on Jesus Christ!

"Believe on The Lord Jesus Christ, and thou Shalt Be Saved!..."
(Acts 16:31 AV)

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and
shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the
Dead
, thou Shalt Be Saved." (Romans 10:9 AV)

Well done.

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart
that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9
