Do you believe the following verses are true...

John
14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
14:7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
14:8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
14:9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou [then], Shew us the Father?
14:10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
14:11 Believe me that I [am] in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.
i'm going to stop ya right there, tex. i believe the nt is scripture, so no matter what verses you put, you know the answer is yes.
it looks like you have something to share. just share brother and we can dialogue

the remnant believed the messiah ….

“Sanctify the Lord of hosts himself; and let him be your fear, and let him be your dread. And he shall be for a sanctuary; but for a stone of stumbling and for a rock of offence to both the houses of Israel, for a gin and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem. And many among them shall stumble, and fall, and be broken, and be snared, and be taken. Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples.

Behold, I and the children whom the Lord hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the Lord of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion.

To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭8:13-16, 18, 20‬ ‭

no it’s alright I was hoping for conversation about what scripture says not diversion and avoidance . I think a huge issue is one verse theology of you were to read on you would find Moses song was true israel was delivered thier promise and then we’re found out to be just as other sinners ….

They have corrupted themselves, their spot is not the spot of his children: they are a perverse and crooked generation.

…But Jeshurun waxed fat, and kicked: thou art waxen fat, thou art grown thick, thou art covered with fatness; then he forsook God which made him, and lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation. They provoked him to jealousy with strange gods, with abominations provoked they him to anger. ( for generations )

They sacrificed unto devils, not to God; to gods whom they knew not, to new gods that came newly up, whom your fathers feared not.

And when the Lord saw it, he abhorred them, because of the provoking of his sons, and of his daughters. And he said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end shall be: for they are a very froward generation, children in whom is no faith.

They have moved me to jealousy with that which is not God; they have provoked me to anger with their vanities: and I will move them to jealousy with those which are not a people; I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation.

I will heap mischiefs upon them; I will spend mine arrows upon them. They shall be burnt with hunger, and devoured with burning heat, and with bitter destruction: I will also send the teeth of beasts upon them, with the poison of serpents of the dust.

I said, I would scatter them into corners, I would make the remembrance of them to cease from among men:

For they are a nation void of counsel, neither is there any understanding in them.”

‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭32:5, 15-17, 19-21, 23-24, 26, 28‬

remember the blessing if they had obeyed and perpetual curses if they defiled the covenant and served other gods ?

Try the song of Moses it seems pretty clear to tell a story of one people and then a promise of another to be chosen later in response to Israel’s rebellion or try this parable of the lord and try not to just read one verse but hear what’s being said it affects what we’re talking about actually explains it but when people don’t bother to read responses it becomes a waste of time

consider the word of Jesus

“Then began he to speak to the people this parable; A certain man planted a vineyard, and let it forth to husbandmen, and went into a far country for a long time. And at the season he sent a servant to the husbandmen, that they should give him of the fruit of the vineyard: but the husbandmen beat him, and sent him away empty.

And again he sent another servant: and they beat him also, and entreated him shamefully, and sent him away empty.

And again he sent a third: and they wounded him also, and cast him out.

Then said the lord of the vineyard, What shall I do? I will send my beloved son: it may be they will reverence him when they see him. But when the husbandmen saw him, they reasoned among themselves, saying, This is the heir: come, let us kill him, that the inheritance may be ours. So they cast him out of the vineyard, and killed him.

What therefore shall the lord of the vineyard do unto them? He shall come and destroy these husbandmen, and shall give the vineyard to others.

And when they heard it, they said, God forbid. And he beheld them, and said, What is this then that is written, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner? Whosoever shall fall upon that stone shall be broken; but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭20:9-18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The nation israel rejected Jesus thier messiah and a remnant the early church in scripture was joined together with all nations of whoever would believe the messiah israel rejected and his kingdom offered to all to provoke Israel to jealousy with a different people as God repetitively said

To believe the gospel makes one born of Abraham and an heir there’s no other way Judaism ended when they crucified Jesus

Hi guys coming in hot. been a long while. I am a Yeshua First Believer, looking for scriptural conversation in short bursts.
Give you all a quick rundown:

- i've read galations. i'm on board for sure.
-i've read hebrews8'7-13 (lol though i prefer jer31'31-34) I'm on board for sure.
-i've loved Christ. for 6 years now. i'm on board. For Certain.

anyway scripture swap? something you loved or affected you strongly, and what you get from it spiritually?
seems people on here have some strong opinions on Jews and the "Law", so perhaps some assumptions will wilt.
maybe we all can leave some negative conventions to the side.
Hi, I have no problem with messianic Jews in principle. One man I admire and respect is Professor James Tour. He's a messianic Jew. He also wrote a thoughtful and helpful letter to a fellow Jew that covers the Law with respect to all Christians. This is his website if you wish to check it out. https://www.jmtour.com/personal-topics/letter-to-michael/

The home page is https://www.jmtour.com/

The verses that perhaps have influenced me the most are John 10:10 and John 14:6, especially the neglected part of 14:6 - Jesus The Life. I'm happy to discuss that with you or anyone else.

why are we talking war in the bible discussion forum?
also, i like your name. i've been sober for 11 years, 12 in august.
Because Israel is still immersed in the ancient mode of thinking that God leads them to win wars

I'm curious: Why would you refer to someone as a Brother if they're not treating you like a Brother? Throughout my life, I have been referred to as "Brother" by perhaps thousands of people, yet little to my own sense of knowledge, I was no Brother at all. I was lost and didn't know it. And because people were calling me Brother for decades, this false title only confirmed the idea that I was Saved, when in fact, I was not. My point is that it would have been much better for me to hear the Truth, which is that I was just a regular sinner on my way to hell.

No one was "testing the Spirit" within me. No one, but I wish that someone had.

1 John 4:1 NKJV - "Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world."

I was one of those false teachers. I was horrible, for the Lord had yet to Enable me to understand His Holy Word.

although you didn't grant me my request, i'll grant you yours. You're my brother because Yahh said you are. regardless to whether we see eye to eye, and even if i try to dig deep, and that is rejected, either way you are my brother. phil1'15-18 doesn't apply here, but if it did, i'd stand on the word. i love you because i have been forgiven, and honestly i'm a piece of work. so i come here to gain perspective and share my own.

this shorter message is so much less pompous. look at any of my posts. i don't believe there is any difference either. i believe we are all together in israel. if you could only hear what i'm saying, you would stand with me. i'm convinced of that because i can see you are a brother.

you aren't being considerate about how you are messaging me with these college texts honestly. give me a deep dive on one scripture, not 18 scriptures followed by exposition. that works if you in front of me at the pulpit. i'll listen to you for hours just off the strength that i know you say what you say with a purpose. but this is a forum. think about your audience please.
also, i still want your perspective on isa56.3 and eph1.5. just seeing how your thought process works. i have a lot more, but to be considerate i have restricted myself to only asking for these. if not, i wasn't being plucky when i called you brother. i admire what i have seen so far, and i'm only interested in building bridges here. if you disagree with my phraseology, look at how i've let Yahh mold my speech, and you'll see i'm not being a douche. love you seriously, dude

you seem very emotionally driven it’s odd because I’ve not intended to insult or offend you with a single word I think we have a lot of disagreement and also you aren’t understanding what I’m saying

but I’ve meant no offense to ya just your op the first original post you do t seem to want to discuss those things you brought up in the original post

like all those scriptures you feel are so in irrelevant and seem to not even read them you seem as if you came I. Offended to this post but it’s all good insults and stuff don’t bother me at all pompous lol haven’t heard that word in a bit

I think perception is sometimes an issue especially when someone doesn’t agree

I don’t see any value honestly in continuing honsnelty tou haven’t even addressed by of the posts I left you just complained and insisted I was insulting you and needed to re read all your posts lol

I think I could take time and do this

Esaias also crieth concerning Israel, Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved: For he will finish the work, and cut it short in righteousness: because a short work will the Lord make upon the earth.”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭9:27-28‬ ‭KJV‬‬
“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.”

‭‭Mark‬ ‭16:15-16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

then could show you how one becomes an Israelite and gets saved

For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.”

‭‭Galatians‬ ‭3:26-29‬ ‭KJV‬‬

and I think you would then explain I’m being pompous me insulting you so it seems like a waste of both our time but yeah I was never offended by you and didn’t intentionally offend you either

if you go back and actually read my posts to you , you will find a time of information to consider like that believing remnant

Yet, behold, therein shall be left a remnant that shall be brought forth, both sons and daughters: behold, they shall come forth unto you, and ye shall see their way and their doings: and ye shall be comforted concerning the evil that I have brought upon Jerusalem, even concerning all that I have brought upon it.

And they shall comfort you, when ye see their ways and their doings: and ye shall know that I have not done without cause all that I have done in it, saith the Lord God.”

‭‭Ezekiel‬ ‭14:21-23‬ ‭KJV‬

The early church is Israel’s remnant and all believers are the nation of Israel being gathered in zion

i believe we are all together in israel
That should be "We are together in THE CHURCH". Not in Israel. God has another plan for redeemed and restored Israel, but at present redeemed Jews and Gentiles are in the Church -- the Body of Christ.

And since you are a black Christian, you cannot even call yourself "Messianic". Only converted Jews take that designation.

you aren't wrong, but in the context of christ saying to peter get behind me satan, i think we can actively do things for the world a whole lot more than we care to share. all sin is from this world. the god of this world is satan according to christ. so when we invariably act worldly as it's in our flesh rom7 shows our flesh is a slave ie under the control of sin. we just avoid being a slave to flesh, but for now, our flesh is just as much a part of us as our spirit. what's your take?
I don't think Peter was in the control of the adversary when the Lord said get behind me satan.

I think Peter was expressing his care and love for his friend.

He just inadvertantly disagreed with Gods Plan, unknowingly.

I think it shows that even when we THINK we are being "good" before God we are not even close.

There are no distinctions in the eyes of the Father. If we are indeed family in the Son we are family.. Why should skin color have any bearing on our salvation and our heritage?
In the flesh we all are descended first from Adam, and then from Noah. Sorry some thing this is not the truth.

Who said anything about skin color affecting salvation? In fact, if there is neither Jew nor Gentile in the Body of Christ, it should be obvious that Messianic Jews are not holding totally to the teachings of the New Testament. They are maintaining a distinction between Jews and Gentiles. And segregation in either black or white churches is also unacceptable to God.

However, there is no question that the Leftists and Communists in America are using racial differences to divide people, and using Critical Race Theory to destroy America. And Christians need to speak out against that nonsense.
