I get amused reading so many different views and they could all very well be valid. I like that ... realization of sinfulness... so what would have been Noah's sin?
I dunno. It says he got drunk and was naked in his tent.

How quickly the knowledge of God was slipping away. And in this context what do you mean by service is a privilege? I wonder how he would have gotten that status had it not been the way of the mother?
Its an opportunity to please God.
We, as sinful mankind, are annoying at best...self righteousness is rampant among the best of us. So a true understanding of who we really are is needed.

The opportunity to be truly of service to God is a rare opportunity indeed. A chance to do something that is truly for Him and not for ourselves. That is a rare opportunity. God is Sovereign and omnipotent, omniscient and a lot of things meaning that He doesn't need us...He merely desires us.

To be useful is indeed a slight elevation of standing... because God is good.

But this is God we are talking about...

God knows the end just as well as the beginning because He is omniscient. He knows our choices before we knew there was a choice to be made. One cannot thwart God in any capacity.

Everyday I am reminded of how I am lacking. I wonder why he desires us.
