If WB were essential, there would be numerous passages clearly stating such, NOT one dubious verse in Mark 16.
How many did Jesus WB? Where in the gospels do we find his disciples conducting WB.
The answers: None and nowhere indicate that WB was a vestige of OT tradition that was non-salvific.
Ditto re Peter and Paul: A nice tradition and apt rite--but optional, like circumcision.

First ALL of HIS word is good, in 1 Corinthians Paul is speaking of the different gifts of the spirit. Not the infilling of it.
JESUS told HIS disciples not to go out without it.

Acts 19:2-6 (Disciples who were baptized by John the Baptist did not realize they had to water baptized in Jesus name. After being told they were re-baptized in water and afterward received the Holy Ghost.
He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.
And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism.
Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.
When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

Can you show me ANYWHERE someone was filled without speaking in tongues???
So you don't agree with Mark 16:17!!

He is all over the place.
When you challenge him and he cannot answer he starts quoting stuff from the OT bears no reference to the threads.
He agreed that there is nowhere in the bible where Jesus said in the bible that people should be baptised in his name only, then starts spouting rubbish and false doctrine just like the rest of his cohorts.
Mind you at least he is honest to say that those bit baptised in Jesus name only are going to hell.

What other name is there to be baptized in ?
“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”

how is it that we put our faith in Jesus Christ , yet have an issue with his name being the name we are saved by ?
who else died for our sins to remit them ?
this seems like an insane debate
He told what the Spirit does so someone can be born again; not what people do. Nicodemus was confused thinking it was a second physical birth, and Jesus tells Nicodemus that He is speaking of a spiritual and heavenly birth.
And Acts 16:31 does say that those who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ are saved.

Of course it says believe and you’ll be saved but we are supposed to believe the gospel …that’s the disconnect . We aren’t supposed to believe things contrary to the word . We have to believe the truth he sent

I’m pretty sure most of the scriptire shared here about baptism is ignored all together otherwise ther would be much more agreement

no absolutely not I can’t determine if she’s saved you are saved or I’m saved brother Jesus does that according to his word .
My opinion is like I told you before I don’t think God is going to disqualify her or anyone because tbier pastor thought “ the father the son and the Holy Ghost “ is a name and didn’t realize “ Jesus “ is the name of the son and he’s one with the father and the spirit …..

what im saying is there’s a name they all baptized into , a body we all were baptized into , a death formoir sins we were baptized into , a resurrection to new life we were all baptized into …….and his name is Jesus he is the son
The reason it’s his name only is because Jesus is the one who suffered and died for our sins out of sacrificial love there’s no other name of anyone else who’s ever done or will do that for us again.
to discuss correct doctrine isn’t a condemnation of you or anyone else.
If the persons faith is in Jesus the savior and lord and they were baptized because of thier faith in Jesus then thier baptized by faith into Jesus Christ.
The point of my part in the discussion is why not learn what’s correct and tell people about that ? Why not say this about believing the gospel being baptized

instead of explaining what baptism isn’t needed for ? Why not learn what’s in scripture in a Bible discussion forum and change our ideas to that ? That’s my motivation bro I have never pretended it’s my call if anyone’s saved even myself .
Jesus is the savior and spoke the words of salvation to us all in the gospel. I do t talk much about how to not be saved but about what the Bible says about whatever the subject is
