i think they could use some help on this thread, "Jesus Came To Fulfill Not To Destroy".

I was thinking of posting this over there -- what you say here maybe. I see you have already posted something there though.
I think I'm finished discussing this with e-g! You have started a great thread and I give you the floor!

Maybe you can succeed with them where I have failed.

Hey again!

The Mercy Seat, Ark of the Covenant , represented Yeshua Hamashia....
Law fulfilled in Christ Yeshua...

Some forget, some never studied.....

So amazing......!!!

God Bless...

so much to learn... I do not know it all.

I think the important thing is to look to God for the meaning(s).

we can get bogged down in knowledge... and it can puff up... and it can mislead...

if we are not believing in better things but instead lesser things.... watered down by humans through the ages and the emperors and rulers...

"we wrestle not against flesh and blood"... and the whole world lies under the sway... of darkened down thinking

God's thoughts are not our own. but we can begin to think more like God.... and more...

but for full lightness to be born out in doctrines or dogmas one had/ has to, "follow on to know the Lord"...

(and/or to have had good enough teachings taught to them in the beginning that lead out of the world and darkness more and more)

... a process, but if sincere and not fallen under too much wrong thought yet / lesser thinking(s)...

or as a child some in thinking (open-minded, teachable, following/ listening to our Father)

more and more... we can learn what it all means... eventually...

New Living Translation
Rather, you must grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

the ways to walk in, the truths about everything, life found by walking more and more in God's ways (John 14:6)

I will not be grilled on an open flame because you have failed to study the details of Paul's letters!
Well I see like your buddy JBF. Your pride is deep and while you speak of finding common ground and wanting to discuss you really have no desire

1 your the one grilling me about the law and what you think the ministry of death written in stone

2 I asked you to answer a few questions. Which if you could. Would convince me maybe your right. And you refuse to answer them

3 you claim the ministry of death is not the law. And I have no comprehension of what Paul is saying

Yet this is what Paul says
romans 7 : 8 But sin, taking opportunity by the commandment, produced in me all manner of evil desire. For apart from the law sin was dead. 9 I was alive once without the law, but when the commandment came, sin revived and I died. 10 And the commandment, which was to bring life, I found to bring death.

And in another of Paul’s writings he states

2 Corinthians 3:7
Glory of the New Covenant
But if the ministry of death, written and engraved on stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of the glory of his countenance, which glory was passing away,

hence the REASON I asked my question. What other law was written on stone. A question I may add, you still have failed to answer.

The other question. Was WHY was the law written in stone put in the ark of the covenant, You refuse to answer that.

Then you tell me I do not know something?

This ministry of death is the same law that Paul spoke of in Romans 7 (as proven his words "the command which was to give life caused death)" and Romans 8.

Don't tell me I have not studied paul and do not understand the law when you can not answer basic questions concerning both And then when I try to discuss it with you. You mock me with your pride and say your not going to be mocked because I have not studied paul.

Practice what you preach my friend

Your going to help us?

Jesus did come to fulfill the law

He did not destroy the law. Whoever has not come to christ is STILL cursed by the law.

Yep

again, No pride.

Just like your buddy, as I said before.

You have failed because what you will not listen and interact. You think your right, and no one is going to convince you otherwise.

You claim we mock you. yet you mock others.

What is it with legalistic people that come into christian chat that think they are going to school anyone, then pop an attitude when people actually want to discuss the word with them?

After you pray and she is yet to receive her healing doesn't necessarily mean you don't have the gift of healing also .. Some healings are not received because of unbelief . unbelief of the one laying hands or the one to receive the healing . . anything asked in Jesus name is given to the believer.
When God brings Healing it will Ensure He is Magnified and Glorified!
So, if someone is not Healed immediately after the Laying on of hands in Prayer, it's not the Moment where God will be Magnified the Most.
And that leads to, but we Prayed in Church!
Have we Examined the Church recently?
God will be Glorified and Magnified when those WHO Witness are Those Whom God wanted them to SEE His Power.

I never believe a Prayer is Wasted, because the Person Praying, should have More Faith then the one Receiving the Prayer and overrides Disbelief! God is greater than those who DOUBT and Don't Believe, especially when the Act of Faith, has been presented before God!!

I agree not wasted at all . immediate manifestation may delay but on the long run God will always be good in all ways even after a detour.

They flee after they find out that not one word of Lord can fall to the ground ... Not now ,not ever . I just thank God for my salvation daily to be found by Jesus .

I can speak the word and heal her if I so desired. That which you cannot do in the Lord.
I told her that I would pray for her and she said that she is already healed.

Isa 65:24, And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.

If you were able to heal her, you should have simply done so; that would have been the loving thing to do.

As it is, you lost out on a reward because she is now healed through someone else's (my) prayer's.

I just find it really strange that you quote scripture and don't understand any of it.

Then try to teach.

You don't even know what the law of sin and death is.

That which is good DID become death to Paul. Read again

Romans 7:13 Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.

Romans 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

The law of sin and death is the 10 commandments. The 10 commandments are the subject of Romans 7 and called the law of sin and death (OBVIOUSLY) in Romans 8.

How is this even an argument? Just because you WISH scripture wasn't scripture???
The verse that you quoted does not say tat the law worked death in Paul, but that sin worked death in Paul.

The law of sin and death is the principle that when I would do good, evil is present with me (Romans 7:14-25, esp. v.21).

But we may have to agree to disagree on this; because it is a matter of interpretation. You see it one way; I see it another.

You believe that the "law of sin and death" is written on the hearts and minds of New Covenant believers (Hebrews 8:8-10, Hebrews 10:16); I don't.
