=MattforJesus;3390860]The New Testament says that Jesus took the physical ordinances of Israel out of the way, nailing them to His cross, for they were contrary to us,which means they had no bearing on spiritual salvation,so let no person judge you in those which include the sabbath days, for they were a shadow of things to come, but the body is of Christ by the Spirit.
The Bible does not say Jesus nailed His fathers Commandments to the cross. Jesus nailed the Law that was against Paul and the Gentiles. God's Laws were not against either. Jesus didn't "Spoil" God, He didn't make a show of God openly, He didn't Triumph over God, He triumphed over the Mainstream Preachers of His Time who had been preaching "Vain deceits", traditions of men, Rudiments of the World for centuries. Jesus made a show of "THEM" openly, not God. Jesus Triumphed over "THEM, not God.
They said "We have a Law and by OUR LAW He should die, and they killed Him. But he didn't stay dead did He. No, He triumphed over them and their religion taught as law for years, making a show of them openly.
Read it for yourself. Col. 2.
The Old Testament says that with stammering lips and another tongue will God speak to these people saying this is is the rest wherewith You may cause the weary to rest, and this is the refreshing, yet they would not hear.
Which the Spirit is our Comforter, and Jesus gives us rest for our soul,so it is a spiritual sabbath.Having the Spirit is how we obey the sabbath, for it is a spiritual rest, and we celebrate the creation of the new earth, the New Jerusalem.
If a person believes we have to keep the physical sabbath then they would have to abide by the rules of it including the punishment for not obeying the sabbath.
Jesus said man was not made for the sabbath, but the sabbath was made for man,and the sabbath was only given to the Jews, and Jesus took away those physical ordinances, and made of one new man both Jew and Gentile, and broke down the middle wall of partition between them.
Like the eating of unclean and clean animals that does not apply in the New Testament for let no person judge you in meats, and all meat is good and nothing to be refused if it is received with thanksgiving, for it is sanctified by the word of God,and prayer.
Let no person judge you in keeping the physical sabbath.[/QUOTE]
