“And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭2:16-17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

what’s Gods Will for him ? To eat the forbidden fruit and die ? Or not to eat the fruit and live ?
God's will is to enter a covenant relationship with Adam. And that's exactly what He does.

Right. God allows those with free will to reject Him if they so choose. …And yet, it is God’s will that the whole world be saved.
I agree. Now how do you reconcile God's will not coming to pass with Daniel 4:35 where it says God always does His will?

I see . And did he will Adam to eat the fruit and break the covenant ? Being that he expressly told him don’t do this you’ll die ? Was Gods Will for Adam to eat the fruit and die ? Or does Adam get blamed for that one ?

“Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭5:12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

was gods Will for Adam to break the commandment and die or ?

Do you think nebucadnezzar is the right person to believe about God though ? Especially over Peter and Paul and them ? Remember he had just lived as a cow for many years so maybe it’s on his mind why that happened when he was set up against God possibly ?

Commandments aren't God's will. They are guide posts to holy living. They are a reflection of His character. They are many things. But they aren’t God's will. God's will is what He does. Your will is what you do.

It's all the word of God. One portion is not more authoritative than any other. It's all inspired regardless of who is speaking...even if it's a donkey speaking.

Commandments illuminate and/or magnify God's moral will for us.

Well On the other hand breaking the commandment is what brought death to them if they would have kept it they were in Eden with the tree of life and freedom to eat of it …..

Yes the thing is God has only ever spoken to us from the beginning we’re the only other creature who speaks and understands and expressed words like him . if we can’t take his word for what it is we could never know his Will he’s always just speaking it forth to those who hear it and believe

Doesn't Daniel 4:35 say God does what He pleases?

PS - this came up in another thread very recently also.

Actually, maybe God IS always doing His will. For example, His will is for the whole world to be saved. Whether a person accepts His will or not doesn’t affect what His will is. Does that make sense?

Really brother ?!!! Wowzers we’re realllllly far apart

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭5:24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.”
‭‭John‬ ‭12:48-50‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you. And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.

Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days. Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭3:22-24, 26‬ ‭

You don’t think God said throughout the ot that the words of the messiah are the words he will require for all
Men ?

What he does is speak his word which manifests his Will

“And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭1:3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

That’s what he does to save us also

“For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭11:3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

n one hand Gods commands created everything your saying his Will is what he does ….he commands light from darkness same in us he spoke the light of the gospel and said believe me and live
“But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭4:4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

imagine if Adam had bought into that he may have had snake stew

It literally say that He DOES His will in the armies of heaven and amongst the inhabitants of the earth, and none shall stay His hand...

The point I'm making is that God actually performs His will. If something doesn't come to pass, how can that be His will?
Now there can be differentiations of God's will. But I wouldn't venture into that discussion if we can't come to an understanding of what God's will is.

I'm saying every bit of God's word is actually the words of Christ. In most cases, through human instruments.
