This was not salvation. it was the law under threat of death for wicked unbelievers.

“But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully; Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;” 1 Timothy 1:8–10 (KJV 1900)

The few saved were already save in the new birth apart from the law.
I wasn't talking about salvation, but sins being forgiven. Following the law kept their souls safe upon death in Abraham's bosom until the d,b,r of Christ.

What about Hezekiah, was he just trying to scare him or what when he sent the prophet to tell him to get his house in order because he would die and not live? We know God don't lie, so I'm sure Hezekiah was getting ready to die, but when he turned to the wall and began to pray...God changed his mind and sent the prophet back to tell him that he was going to give him 15 more years.

If you don't think God can change his mind then explain that for me.
God answers prayer, even for Hezekiah. Why pray?

They did not love God, Abraham did. The motives do not match.

Why pray if God's decree is going to play out anyway?

God told Hezekiah he was going to die, set thou house in order. Hezekiah prayed and God changed His mind and gave Hezekiah another 15 years of life.

Prayer aligns us with God's plan.

Prayer aligns us with God's plan.
Prayer can change the course of people's lives. Prayer can move God to cause something to happen in our lives that through the natural course of time, would have never happened, but because we prayed, God made a way. That's our God! Amen!

One claims we’re guilty of idolatry and fallen pray to doctrines of demons, the other compares the doctrine to Manson... When confronted they wont even answer why they hate the doctrine. Why? Maybe they have no biblical answer. I’ve asked the question 5 times and gotten nothing but venom. To be expected I suppose.

I'll let Brandnew day address this if he cares to since you have he and I in the same post together again

as for you asking questions, why expect any answer (although one has been provided over and over), why should anyone answer someone who never answers questions

tell us why you included yourself with Calvinists. I'd say it was a slip up on your part

just really getting boring here with you

He and Dave_L are both Calvinists. Both denied this at first, yet acknowledged it by their own slip of the keys later.

haven't you heard? (of course you have but anyway)

Calvinists have created this dodgy belief system that God creates people for hell

amazing isn't it?

even though the Bible plainly and clearly teaches that the lake of fire was created for the devil and his angels, dyed in the wool Calvinists will tell you God creates humans for the lake as well....clearly against scripture
What's your position on hell? Do sinners spend eternity in hell?

Why would you confront anyone? Why would you claim you're not a Calvinist and then prove that's a lie by imagining you are targeted for being what you say you are not?

Even I recall that there are parts of the bible that say God changed his mind about things.
It's really easy to look up.
Exodus 32:14 And the Lord relented from the disaster that he had spoken of bringing on his people.

God also feels regret.
