Discernment in visions and dreams

yes i have seen the all seeing eye on the $1 USD. That is what i saw in one vision.

You may have the eye of the enemy on you.
I percieve you are being stalked.
We are all being stalked.
Again apply the blood.
Make all that enters you pass through the blood.

You are appointed a sound mind and peace.
See yourself in peace and wholeness.
He is inside you and you are inside him.
So refuse and cast down anything troubling you.
IOW get into the anointing. I do it everyday. Through worship.

believe me I had the same problem years ago in my early 20's

no one could help....and all the blood expressions only gave some relief

I have recommended a book to her that will help her do an inventory because there are always reasons why this sort
of thing happens and we can unwittingly open a door

rich in Bible verses and explanation as well as thoroughly explaining our position in Christ and basically how to fight
the enemy

we fight with truth...not power. like Jesus did

I don't like discussing all these things in an open forum because of the blowback you get from people who have never
dealt and will never deal with the spiritual realm

Hi Danja,

I too have had visions and dreams and have felt very confused about them wondering is this from God, the devil or me. I have asked others their opinions and have got all sorts of answers. All sound logical, reasonable and have scripture to back them up. It makes it all the more confusing. I didn't want the devil to be messing with my mind nor give him any open door into my life and at the same time I didn't want to put God in a box refusing to believe that he is communicating with me.
I think in the end I am learning to commit it to the Lord and somehow he has the ability to let you know what is from him. I don't know how he does it nor can I put it into words it is just something that he privately does within you. So my advice is to ask him and not others, it will just confuse you. You will be torn between people warning it is the devil and others who will encourage you it is from God. Let Him show you.

On GG's thread today Shittim posted a video #165 about someone's dream. Might be worth a watch.

the main problem is that there is a big bunch of hooplah so called teaching out there that magnifies gifts instead of the One who
gives them and this is more than confusing and in some cases is downright demonic

the first mistake is believing if it happens in church it most therefore be from God. people then let down their guard and the invasion begins. error and deception and if anyone does not believe that, check out the cults and the bizarre things taught...like grave soaking

if we follow biblical instructions we will not go down this path and it is imperative that we do so and I cannot emphasize that enough

do NOT seek experiences...you will receive them. DO seek the Lord and He will answer

most people should probably do an inventory on their life and see if they have opened doors that could lead to being bothered in some way that is not of God

remember, the devil is a deceiver and comes as an 'angel of light'

I'm not addressing this to you personally but to anyone who cares to read it

this is not a power struggle because Jesus already won the fight...it is a truth stand...as Jesus did when the devil tempted Him

we stand on the truth of the Word of God. the devil is a liar and will attack anywhere he can against those who have given their lives to Jesus and actually do want to walk with Him

it can be scary at first, but after a while, you realize that Jesus is your Savior against all the deception or any other thing and it becomes easier and the false things will fade away and if they should try again, well, you will know what to do

I haven’t read the whole thread yet, but something I know is truth....don’t seek visions nor believe every dream is from the Lord. Seek to see Jesus in His Word. He gives us then what He desires to give.

Also, for me I’ve found that in both visions and dreams, I know what they mean. I’ve never had to ask anyone. It’s seen by things I already understand.

Poems however, may take some time.

Be careful danja, God will NEVER contradict His Word - the scriptures in the Bible.

There are three realms - Physical, Spiritual and Heavenly. We have 5 physical senses and 5 spiritual senses. Our physical senses allow us to operate in the physical realm. Our spiritual senses allow us to operate in the spiritual and heavenly realms.

Be careful. Many people operate in the spiritual realm and think they do not need God but, they are wrong. The spiritual realm is demonic, sorcery, divination, wizardry, etc. Do not get caught up in this spiritual realm. Go higher, to the Heavenly realm.

Access to the Heavenly Realm is ONLY through Yeshua/Jesus Christ. He is the Way the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Him (Yeshua/Jesus). As children of God and born again believers sealed and indwelt with God's Holy Spirit, we are seated in Heavenly Places with Christ Jesus - our Savior, Lord and King - there is NO other. Our Lord, Christ Jesus gives us power and authority over the physical and spiritual realms, we need not to fear man or any form of evil.

I highly recommend and encourage you to get rooted and grounded with wisdom and revelation knowledge of God's Word - The Bible. Get in a good Bible based Bible Study.

A Bible Study that I have really enjoyed and grown in is BSF (Bible Study Fellowship). They stay away from denominational influence and Bible commentaries by encouraging the students to learn to rely on the Holy Spirit to open up the scriptures and teach us.

They are international - all over the globe. Believers in India and China are studying the exact same scriptures as believers in Kentucky or Greece. The Study begins in September and ends in May, every year. They take the summers off.

This coming year we'll be studying The Book of Acts and Letters of the Apostles which will cover Acts, I Corinthians, I & II Thessalonians, Hebrews, I Peter and James. You can find a BSF class in your area by googling bsfinternational.org.

Thanks Lafftur for this post! At first I didn’t understand what you meant about a difference between the spiritual realm as opposed to the heavenly, then I remembered something that someone wrote on another forum.

He isn’t a Christian but this particular forum allowed anyone to discuss the Bible. He had out of the body experiences and he said he saw some as “flames of fire” while in this experience. I know this was not of God. ( Just quenching indignation) 😉

The flames of fire are the believers in heavenly realms doing whatever their mission is. So now I understand how this person could see these things. He couldn’t go higher. It was just a spiritual realm. Thanks!

I have only had one experience of a vision that was demonic. And I knew it was. Brought fear but this was during a time of battling that spirit.

Jesus is completely victorious over all the power of the enemy. We don’t have to fear anything because our position is being in Him. And that little word in means a fixed position. It doesn’t change. Completely surrounded by Him.

many people are attacked as they are drifting off so sleep to that is a great idea! I have done it myself...I can always tell when there is something going on...you 'feel' it...I'm sure you know what I mean

I also used to suffer from sleep paralysis and got rid of that too...was totally demonic. so bad at times I could barely say the name of Jesus! so many will tell you sleep paralysis is a physical thing but I am pretty convinced much of it is not

but this was years back...been free for many years now

I would disagree

God can most certainly clarify something in a dream that does not require others to examine it and verify it as being from God

for example, we have Joseph who was more than once visited in a dream and received directions

he was told to go ahead and take Mary as his wife in one and in another was told to go to Egypt for safety

we have to be careful how we handle our personal understanding when we put it out there as though it was for everyone

this subject is misunderstood enough without creating a template that actually is not biblical

I don't mean to argue with you at all, but what you say may apply to say a congregational type setting in which everyone is involved and looking for direction but on a personal basis not always

I have never acted upon a dream or vision that was not confirmed ... keeping in mind such confirmations can come from scripture

Test the spirits ... the glory must go all the way up the 'food chain' to Christ. If it stops anywhere short of that it's false.

I have never acted upon a dream or vision that was not confirmed ... keeping in mind such confirmations can come from scripture

and I didn't discuss acting on dreams but I did offer the example of Joseph

a dream can be confirmation or it can be explanation or it can be discernment

I'm not going to limit God nor am I going to throw discernment out the window

there is the path God chooses for us and not following it does not mean we loose salvation

but there are probably few as cautious as I am because of what I have experienced and seen

Can't recall ever being attacked in my sleep. During waking hours, it's constant. But never while asleep.

And no, demons, that is NOT an invitation!

I had that happen to me too. And I asked my doctor about it and he said it was a common thing known to the medical field. Funny I never studied it in my nursing classes. 😇

Also, am free. I need to see that doctor again. Lol.
