Correct, Sunday is the first day of the week and started the previous 6pm. Jesus had already been resurrected for some time.
How do you know that Jesus was resurrected for some time?

Matthew 27:2-5
There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men. The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified.

Notice the guards were there when Mary arrived, in fact, Jesus was still there also.

The guards were still there and were frozen with fear.

Looks as though the event occurred just before Mary arrived.

Jesus died on a Wednesday and was Resurrected at the End of the Weekly Sabbath a Satuday

According to the word of God you are correct. So Jesus would Have been in the Grave Wednesday night, Thursday daytime and Thursday night, Friday daytime, Friday night, Saturday daytime and Jesus rose right before the sun went down on Saturday. Hence one has the 3 days and 3 nights which Jesus prophesied.

His death Wednesday night is consistent with the comment of the prophet Daniel, stating the Messiah would be cut off (killed) in the midst of the week.

Daniel 9:26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. 27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week (Wednesday is the middle of the week) he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, (Remember, Jesus is the sacrificial Passover Lamb).

That's a fourth day resurrection.

No. He died on Wednesday but buried when it was early thursday. The day of death is not part of the three days and nights in the grave.

Actually it was a Big Thing getting Jesus in the Tomb before Night fall.

That's a fourth day resurrection.

The scripture simply talks about a preparation day, a sabbath, and then the first day.

Any attempt to alter this simple three day event will generate problems.
You Misunderstand, Jewish Holy Days are Sabbaths, Much Like Christmas is a Holy Day no matter what day it falls on

So your saying that He died one day but entombed the next day?

I don't see that all the holy days in Leviticus 23 are sabbaths.

As far as I am concerned, a holy day must be called a sabbath in the text.

I see a difference between holy days in which no laborious work is done. And sabbath days where a complete rest, even cooking is prohibited. I cannot accept that the first day of Unleavened Bread and the seventh day of UB, are formal sabbath days. To be so would require a preparation day for each.

Jesus was crucified on Thursday, not Wednesday. Jesus entered Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, that matched the Lamb Selection day, which is Nissan 10. Passover is on Nissan 14. Counting from Nissan 10, the sacrificial lamb went through FOUR DAYS of inspection to make sure it has no blemish, those were Nissan 10 to 13, which were Sunday to Wednesday. Then Nissan 14, Jesus as the lamb was sacrificed, that was Thursday. Friday and Saturday he was buried in the tomb, then on Sunday, the Third Day, he rose again.

Remember the next day starts at evening, sundown too sundown. Mary did not come to the Grave site until the first day of the week which is Sunday, when it was yet dark. (John 20:1) "The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulcher", And it was early in the morning and it was still dark. But Jesus had already risen.

Jesus didn't rise on Sunday ay all. The world wide story is Jesus die on Good Friday to Easter Sunday Morning. But the word of God prove otherwise.

Paul wrote that Christ arose on the third day. That settles it for me. How the day/night duration like Jonah should be understood? Maybe it was "as Jonah was in the great fish". As in like manner but not a full 3days and 3 nights. The 3ard day is Sunday morning. Paul witnesses that it was the third day. So Friday was the crucifixion day.

That does not account for three nights. Only a Wednesday death, and a Thursday burial in the grave Thursday, Friday and Saturday has a full three days and nights.

This scripture was fulfilled:

Mat_12:40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

this one

Thursday evening was when he died (crucified), taken away for burial, it was Sunday morning he rose again a bit before Mary and others found the empty tomb

although back then the days of the week were not named monday tuesday wednesday etc.. Hebrews counted them but they did not have those names

Other gospels said it was early in the morning or at dawn. No verse indicates he rose earlier than that. Mary Magdalene was the first witness, her encounter with him confirmed his resurrection. Remember, The rule is, if a tree falls in a forest and nobody saw it, then it didn’t fall at all. In 1 Cor 15, Paul names all these people to whom Jesus appeared, and that was since the Third Day.

You cannot say that Mary arrived at the tomb in the dark, as a matter of fact.

Here read Mark's gospel.

Mark 16:2
And very early on the first day of the week, they came to the tomb when the sun had risen.

We do not know the precise timing of Mary's arrival at the tomb, because we have two different accounts.

Yet, it is not important because the first day began after sunset on the previous day (the sabbath day).

As I have said before, the time Jesus rose is unknown.

We only have the day on which Jesus was observed to have risen and that was the day after the sabbath.

Matthew 17:23
And they will kill Him, and He will be raised on the third day.

Matthew 16:21
...and to be killed, and to be raised up on the third day.

Matthew 20:19
And they will hand Him over to the Gentiles to mock and flog and crucify, and on the third day He will be raised up.

To say that Jesus rose after the third day and night, is in direct conflict with so many verses.

Yeah, it was actually said in Mark 16:9 that He rose EARLY on the first day of the week.

Basically, yes. The change of days happened roughly around 6pm in Jewish times.
First time I have ever heard that explanation.

It appears in the text that Jesus was dead in the afternoon and buried before the sabbath began.

Luke 23:53-54
And he took it down and wrapped it in a linen cloth, and laid Him in a tomb cut into the rock, where no one had ever lain. It was a preparation day, and a Sabbath was about to begin.

John 19:31
Now then, since it was the day of preparation, to prevent the bodies from remaining on the cross on the Sabbath (for that Sabbath was a high day), the Jews requested of Pilate that their legs be broken, and the bodies be taken away.

But somehow, you have Jesus dead on the preparation day but buried the next day???

Yeah, it was actually said in Mark 16:9 that He rose EARLY on the first day of the week.
They ignore the word of God and claim that Jesus rose on the sabbath.

I find it incredible that people can get away with making claims, that are in direct conflict with the scripture.

You seem to have one verse to support your claim.

I will raise you with the following verses, that say that Jesus rose on the third day and not after the third day.

Matthew 20:19
Matthew 27:64

Mark 15:29

Luke 9:22
Luke 13:32
Luke 18:33
Luke 24:7
Luke 24:21
Luke 24:46

Acts 10:40

1 Corinthians 15:4
