And Jesus was punished by the ungodly upon the testimony of false witnesses. So anyone who teaches that Jesus's punishment was just is a false witness

If anyone claims Jesus did not suffer as part of the atonement on the Cross, he is a liar.

Isaiah 53 is clear on this...and it is also clear that the Father predestined this event. While at the same time wicked men did the deed, the Father predestined it.

It may not fit the presuppositions of someone's Play-doh god, fashioned in their own image, but the Bible is clear on this. Any real Christian would know these basic facts, so we are forced to conclude that persistent denyers are unbelievers.

I recommend the video American Gospel: Christ Crucified on this topic. It is available on Youtube to view, and DVDs can be purchased.

It exposes heretics like the Emergent Church movement.

Here's the description:

The gospel message of "Christ crucified" has always been offensive. In our culture it is common for preachers to soften the offense of the cross, and the attributes of God that are displayed in the person of work of Jesus Christ. "American Gospel: Christ Crucified" explores how the paths of post-modernism and progressive Christianity lead to a different gospel, and a god created in our own image.

"But we preach Christ Crucified, to Jews a stumbling block and to Gentiles foolishness..." (1 Cor. 1:23)

- We often hear the phrase, “Jesus died for our sins.” What does that mean?
- Is the God of the Old Testament the same as the God in the New Testament?
- Did God the Father kill Jesus?
- Can a loving God also express wrath?
- Why is hell necessary?

It is Satan's offspring that spreads likes about the atonement.

And Jesus's suffering was inflicted by people who regarded him as sinful,

we know that this man is a sinner. Jn.9:24

And Jesus was rejected by these men,

Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders, and of the chief priests, and scribes Mk.8:31

Dear Christians, don't listen to people who say the Son was regarded as sinful and forsaken by his Father.
