Real Christian's have always believed these truths. Why you think
they are elite is your imagination I suppose.
The very sad reality is real Christians being dupped into accepting a different god than the God of scripture.

Interesting how Calvinists on this thread perservate on this false view of the sovereignty of God... yet rarely mention God who is love.

Calvinists want a hard hearted god and will falsify scripture to that end.

Calvin and the Reformers had no problem persecuting and even killing genuine Christians because they did not adhere to Reformed Theology.

"It is a fact recognized by many recent historians, that the persecution of the Anabaptists surpassed in severity the persecution of the early Christians by pagan Rome! Persecution began in Zurich soon after the Brethren had organized a congregation. Imprisonment of varying severity, sometimes in dark dungeons, was followed by executions. Within a short period the leaders of the Brethren lost their lives in the persecution. [Note: Zurich was the centre of Calvinism]

Anabaptism was made a capital crime. Prices were set on the heads of Anabaptists. To give them food and shelter was a made a crime. The duke of Bavaria, in 1527, gave orders that the imprisoned Anabaptists should be burned at the stake — unless they recanted, in which case they should be beheaded. In Catholic countries the Anabaptists, as a rule, were executed by burning at the stake; in Lutheran and Zwinglian states, Anabaptists were generally executed by beheading or drowning."

In view of this people have to ask themselves whether the Reformers were better or worse than the Roman Catholic Church.

Agree, John Calvin terrorized Geneva while he ruled there. People were under constant scrutiny ... people were put to death and flogged for questioning predestination.

John Calvin was a muderer and a tyrant.

You really, as they would say today, "need to cool your jets" There is no reason to walk so unworthily before the Lord, with such brash comments. Take it from a young man in Christ, of 33+ years, approach all subjects with a calm and reasonable demeanor. As much as lies in you.
Yawn....Jesus, John, Paul, Elijah, all the prophets etc....did not coddle or appease false teachers and or let false dogmas slide....

Your downfall is that you have not checked the Greek meaning of the words, "salvation" "saved" "save", which means "a deliverance" "delivered" "deliver". We are delivered eternally. and we are delivered many times as we sojourn here in this world, which has nothing to do with our eternal inheritance.

1 Tim 2:4; There is a deliverance (salvation) here in this world, when born again babes in Christ come unto a knowledge of the truth.

The reason your false doctrine leads you to believe that you have to take some action to gain eternal deliverance, is because you bag all of the salvation scriptures into a "eternal salvation" bag.
HAHHAHHAHHAHHAHH listen pal.....I have fully investigated those words and at the end of the day your downfall is believing and peddling a false dogma that some fake god makes man a for heaven and man b thru z for hell!

My bible, as a matter of fact...No bible teaches that drivel from the pit!

God would have ALL MEN....not man A that worships another man OR DOGMA DEVISED BY A MAN (CALVIN) OR some acronym (TULIP)...to Be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth!

Not at all.Calvinists understand the teaching of scripture that the Love of God is only found In Christ.
Your caricature has no basis in fact.

Yes. Believers are in the world. From the past, present and future.

God testifies of His Existence by creation.

Jesus paid the sin debt of believers only. If He paid the sin debt of the WHOLE WORLD then preaching is not necessary. Scripture is not necessary. There is nothing to convict anyone of. It has all been atoned for.

Can't reason with someone who needs to be saved before they can understand. You can only reason with someone who is already saved and understands.

Whosoever means everyone the Father draws to Christ, past, present and future.
Amen brother.

Isn't that the truth.

Interesting how Calvinists on this thread perservate on this false view of the sovereignty of God... yet rarely mention God who is love.
If you read the bible, from front to back, you will see all through it that there are those who believe, and those who don't. Those who are Gods People and those who are not.

Is God Sovereign in this matter? After thousands of years and the many generations of people in the bible can God not understand the nature of people who believe vs. those who don't?

And STILL continue to make both. Does the Potter have power over the clay?

I don't understand how a person can read the bible and come to the conclusion that all people are good and they can all be saved.

Romans 9:17-18
17 For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.

18 Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth.

Calvinists want a hard hearted god and will falsify scripture to that end.
Its not an issue of wanting or not wanting. It is just plain bible Truth. It is easy for a saved Christian who has read the bible a few times to understand the truth of Calvinism. Those who still wish for their "free will" to be god so they don't have to see the Truth of scripture are willfully blind and follow their blind guides. There are plenty of them out there.

Just the fact that there are saved people testifies to the Mercy and Love of God.

Exactly my point.
You see Matthew 11:28-30 as a choice?

I don't see the Lord asking anyone a question in Matthew 11:28-30.

Then see John 6:44-45.

How is it you can't put this together?

Matthew 11:28-30 is an invitation. The choice is whether or not to accept His invitation.
