I recall Jesus speaking to the 12 about how it was given to them to understand the deeper thigs of god but the rest were taught in parables.
Perhaps the "outward form only" masses will be saved though they deny the power?:)

Has anyone researched the term remnant? I don't mean the definition. I mean, is it only applied to Israel? Did the outpouring of the Spirit on Pentecost change anything? How do you get to a number no man can number if only a remnant of each generation gets redeemed?
Jesus said, "Many are called but few chosen."
Also the many and few are compared in his teaching of the broad way and the narrow way.

Remnant would be an accurate description.

Thanks. I know what a remnant is. I'm asking how do we get to a number that no man can number?
How many generations would that require?
I've heard there has been anywhere from 30 to 100 billion people come into the world. A remnant of that seems easily countable.

You make a very good point that the remnant is spread out over many generations. For one thing, only God knows how many people will be saved. If all those people were gathered in a certain place, could we get an accurate count? I don't think so.

I don't think God intends us to know or He would have been more specific. Just seems to me we haven't come anywhere close to a number that no man can number.

"Woe to the world for the causes of sin. These stumbling blocks must come, but woe to the man through whom they come! " Matt 18:7.

If you know the Pastor or church leader has stolen from the church, cheated on their wife or done other things, are you held accountable for continuing to support them? Even if they have not repented? I am amazed when I read of corruption in a church and yet some members of the church still support the Pastor or church leader.
Well to say anything is going to be speculation. This is just one view of this story. Do we not do this kind of thing for family members? You know showing support praying for them blah blah blah. Lol knowing Church.. many do this because they love that person so much don't want to give up or they are blind to whats happening don't want to believe it
