Pffft! Exit 9! Whose team are you rooting for now? The good ball games are closer to Exit 4 (and in previous years, not this year. lol)

(For those who don't get this, I'm bringing up a New York/Philly rivalry that lands in New Jersey's lap. Exit references are to the NJ Turnpike. Granted, less rivalry to use when Philly teams all stink now, but the heart can't adjust to that yet. lol)
I take exit 6 to the PA Turnpike then go west to Pittsburgh and root for the Pirates.

Black-n-Gold all the way! Steelers, Pirates, and most definitely, the Penguins!

Simple supposition rather:)
Exactly. We see a lot of that around here. People make bold statements either without Scriptural support, or with their twisted version of Scripture in an attempt to support their suppositions.

Ecclesiastes 3:19: "After all, the same fate awaits human beings and animals alike. One dies just like the other. They are the same kind of creature. A human being is no better off than an animal, because life has no meaning for either."
Eccl 3:20: "They are both going to the same place---the dust. They both came from it; they will both go back to it."
Eccl 3:21: "How can anyone be sure that the human spirit goes upward while an animal's spirit goes down into the ground?"

Im gonna make a point of spreading some love around! Lets turn those frown upside down! LOL
You with me? :x
Idont know you, sister, but I am with you, and I sure could use it after the last 2 days! So tired of those that sow seeds of discord, when all I wanted when I got here was some fellowship and peace among my family. This whole trip has got me questioning my sanity, maybe even my salvation. But NO! I'M NOT GIVING IN TO THAT AGAIN! Raise a shout to let the whole world know...JESUS SAVES...and He saved me, no matter how I might feel right now. God bless you blonde sister.

I dont see any reason why we need to box God in. It certainly is not sin when it comes to this subject . There are some things that we simply do not know. Didnt God say his ways are higher than ours? Didnt God say that his thoughts are higher than ours?
Eternity with God will be far more than any of us can imagine. Why wouldnt God allow us play time? We are his kids arent we?

God is the creator and he needs ceases to create. Ever! He is still expanding the galaxies and he is still creating new little species of critters. I suspect he is creating all kinds of other things as well. It certainly doesnt hurt anything to ponder .

God is amazing for a lack of a better word! We dont even have a word for the magnificence of our Father. My heart gets even more mushy than it already is, longing for my Father, when I imagine my new home with my Father. I simply cannot wait to see all God has in store for us. I think we will all be blown away!
Let's see -- playtime to do my own thing or the joy of worshiping God forever? As someone who truly and completely loves playing, no contest. Worship God forever. Think about it -- no more work. With no more work, what is the need for playtime? If dust still exist, (which I doubt, since no more need to work), I think that mansion he promised is going to get dusty, because I'm worshiping God forever!

I am thinking big. Granted, probably not big enough, but as big as I can get with this limited body. Even if a unicorn, dodo bird, or woolly mammoth was standing next to me also worshiping God, I'd still rather spend the time worshiping God forever, instead of wasting time talking to them. Worshiping God forever! Forever in his presence! Woohoo!!!

Psalm 49 clarifies the matter quite nicely.

It states that both animals and humanity perish - but ONLY humanity, with understanding of God, can be redeemed.

Since animals have no understanding of God, then they cannot possibly have redemption, and they are forever in the grave as their final resting place.

Simple Biblical Truth...

Jesus said if humans didn't sing his praise as e rode into Jerusalem, the rocks would have. That means even rocks understand. You skipped "simple Bible Truth" to bring up your own version of truth.

Genesis.

Animals are nephesh creatures (i.e. they have a soul) but NOT a spirit.
So, I'm really supposed to read all of Genesis again to find the word "nephesh" (which I'm sure isn't in there in the English versions anyway) and accept what you say that verse -- if it existed -- says because you say it says that? Not working for me.

Here's what Strong says that word means --

nephesh: a soul, living being, life, self, person, desire, passion, appetite, emotion

Now your job to prove to me in that mystery proof you never gave that out of all those choices for that word could mean, "soul" is the one there. (I won't be holding my breath.)

It must be a full moon. Everybody so snipey and nasty to each other in the forums today..
I AM NOT SNIPEY!!!!! :p

I'm snippy. I honestly admit to being snippy for the last few days. I know why. I've actually told why, but no one is listening, so still snippy.

Sadly, nothing to do with the moon, albeit I wish that was my excuse.

Oddly, enough I haven't been as snippy as some seem to think I'm being on this thread. What I was asking was sincere until about three minutes ago when I got an answer to "where is that in the scripture" with the answer "Genesis" as if I should have the whole book memorized to figure out the answer.

So, sometimes what looks snippy isn't as snippy as it appears to be... or snipey for that matter. :D

Just checking -- supposition, not suppository, right?

Let's make it even more crystal clear....so that you are without lame excuse...

The reader is informed that it is the spirit (ruah) in man that provides understanding of God…

But it is a spirit in man giving them understanding, even the breath of the Almighty.(Job 32.8)

Contrasted to this, are animals which have no understanding of God (i.e. no spirit)…

Be not like the horse, like the mule, with no understanding; with bit and bridle his gear to be held in, that they do not come near you.(Psalm 32.9)

Psalm 49 brings these two concepts together...

It states that both animals and humanity perish (Psalm 49.10, 12, 14, 20) - but ONLY humanity, with understanding of God, can be redeemed (Psalm 49.15).

Since animals have no understanding of God, then they cannot possibly have redemption, and they are forever in the grave as their final resting place.

Again...Simple Biblical Truth...

Awe! May the Lord richly bless you!!
Amen brother!
Let your feelings be that of Gods word! God told us our hearts are deceitful right? Boy was that an understatement or what? LOL

Rejoice! Jesus said he who seeks shall find. Jesus said knock and the door shall be opened! Open the Bible, play that worship music loud and proud! Sing praises unto the Lord !!
Chase those lying demons out of your life! Put your armor on! Dont sweat the small stuff! People bicker and people will slander but your identity is in Christ and Christ alone! Satan pulls up a chair in the steeple so we have to expect that he is with us here as well :) In time, you will know them by their fruit.
Father I lift up my brother. Lord comfort his heart and give him greater understanding of your heart as written in your word. Fill him with your joy overflowing! Thank you Lord. We praise your name Jesus! Amen

Animals have no need of redemption because they are without sin. I am sure that God is capable of bringing the pets back to life. If what you believe is actually true than God doesn't care squat about animals. Probably even less about insects.

The new heavens and new earth will house spiritual beings.
So you don't believe we will have glorified, resurrected physical bodies on the new earth?

Have you ever actually read the Bible?

Well animals don't have souls so I don't see how they WOULD be in heaven. On the new earth tho I see no reason why. The new earth is perfected earth so it would make sense that animals would be there.

Thank you and God bless you so! Father, we do praise the Holy name of Jesus, and I thank you Lord, for these words of encouragement from my sister. I pray, Lord, that you give her showers of blessings from your heavenly fountain, healing and fresh filling of your Spirit whenever she needs.Forgive me, Lord, that I've been so lacking in ... I'm not even sure, just not right, I guess. Help me learn to trust you more, and not be thrown by false accusations, even those that may come from those who should be my sister or brother. Bless them Lord, and grant me a forgiving spirit as you have forgiven me in Jesus. And hold my 'blondie' sister close. Thank you for prayer in Jesus' name. Amen.

I know lame, sir. And you are lame! Slice-and-dice-to-fit-my-mood theology just doesn't work on me. Enough. I don't have time for people who think they alone know all. Play in your own sandbox.
