So you think that "the dead that rise" are only souls? Do you really believe that a person's soul stays in the ground?
In hades or the unseen world of the unsaved. YES.
Then please explain what Paul meant in 2 Cor 5-
6 Therefore we are always confident and know that as long as we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord.
8 We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord.

Please explain what "at home in the body" means and "away from the Lord" and "away from the body" and "at home with the Lord".

I BELIEVE THE DEAD THAT RISE ARE THE UNSAVED WHO RISE IN SPIRITUAL BUT LIABLE TO DIE BODIES.
One always needs to define what they mean by 'the dead', since there are dead believers and dead unbelievers.

Everyone, both saved and unsaved, "will rise". That's a given. Acts 24:15.

HERE IS WHAT I BELIEVE
Luke 16:19 There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:
20 And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,
21 And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.
22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died,
and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom:
the rich man also died, and was buried;
23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

What do you believe?
Of course I believe this. But what do you of the story that Jesus said.

Was it a parable? Was it a true event in Hades?

The truth is it is all about Israel.

From Abraham to Jacob to king David to Jesus to the millennial reign to the New Jerusalem it is all about Israel.

Which the 12 tribes of Israel and the 12 apostles of the Lamb are written in the New Jerusalem.

Some people say that the Church replaces Israel but Israel is the Church.

That is why when a Gentile gets saved they are a Jew inward and they belong to the commonwealth of Israel because Israel is the Church.

The millennial reign is when Jesus rules the earth along with the saints and the kingdom is restored to Israel.

Jesus came to fulfill the law which includes all the roles of Israel which He is the perfect King, prefect High Priest, perfect saint by being sinless, and the temple and sacrifice, and whatever else He had to fulfill.

But He has not fulfilled the role of perfect King and it must be done on earth.

Which during the millennial reign He will fulfill the role of perfect King which also includes Israel as the only reigning government ruling over the Gentile nations who will rule no more.

Which the Bible says in that day the LORD shall be King over all the earth and there shall be one LORD and His name one.

And the heathen have to go up year after year to Jerusalem to worship the LORD and keep the feast of tabernacles to remain right with God during that time.
In my understanding, the gentile church is a part of Israel. It appears to me that the Lord has a reason for keeping some biological Hebrews. When it comes to one's worth, I strongly believe we are equal. He just has His purposes...and I don't believe He's a racist.
There is no difference between a Jew and Gentile in the Lord for they are equal and Peter said that God is no respecter of persons but any person that does righteousness is accepted by Him.

12,000 will be Levites. The rest will come from the other tribes. People believe all kinds of things.

The first resurrection of the saved is WHEN the saved get their glorified bodies. So the first resurrection IS related to time.

The TIME when He comes, per 1 Cor 15:23.
1 Corinthians 15:20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.

Here is a FIRST resurrection This took place back when Christ became the FIRSTFRUITS OF THEM THAT SLEPT. When He gave up the ghost and the GRAVES OPENED AND many of them that slept were even SEE walking around in the city

21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.

22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits;

Here are many many FIRST resurrections of those who GO TO BE WHERE HE IS

afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.

HERE IS the final FIRST RESURRECTION

22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom the rich man also died, and was buried;

AN EXAMPLE one of the many FIRST RESURRECTIONS - Lazarus carried by angels to heaven NOT BURIED like the unsaved

MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE FOR THERE TO 'ONE MOMENT IN TIME'

WHAT IS IT THAT DEFINES "THE FIRST RESURRECTION" FOR US?

Revelation 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them,

"THEY" ARE THE ARMIES WHICH WERE IN HEAVEN WHO FOLLOW HIM UPON WHITE HORSES CLOTHED IN FINE LINEN, WHITE AND CLEAN.

Revelation 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them
and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus,

THE RETURNING ARMY WHICH WE SEE SITTING ON HORSES AND DRESSED IN FINE LINEN, WHEN THEY ARE LEAVING HEAVEN. ARE THEY GLORIFIED BODIES?
1 Corinthians 15:42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption 43 It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:

and for the word of God,

and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands
RETURNING WITH CHRIST IN THE ARMY ALSO ALL HAVING BEEN RESURRECTED IN GLORY THEMSELVES

and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

1Thessalonians 4:15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God:

and the dead in Christ shall rise first: WHICH CAN'T BE 'THE BODIES' OF THOSE ALREADY ON HORSES RETURNING IN LINEN CLEAN AND WHITE

17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

WITH THEM ALREADY ON THE HORSES WHO WILL SIT ON THE THRONES.

THANK YOU SO VERY VERY MUCH FREE GRACE. I HAVE BEEN TRYING FOR SO LONG. EVERYONE ELSE JUST GETS MAD AND QUITS. LOVE THE INTESTINAL FORTITUDE YOU SHOW. YOUR CONTROL OF THE FLESH I HOLD IN HIGH REGARD. (SORRY FOR THE FLATTERY BUT I BELIEVE IT IS WELL DUE)

WHERE 2 OR MORE ARE GATHERED IN MY NAME. GOD BLESS YOU. GOD BLESS YOU.
I PRAY THE LORD OPEN ALL EYES AND EARS OF THE FAITHFUL TO HIS WORDS. GLORY TO GOD.

I hope someone does for you what you have done for me. I am taking a break. I am exhausted but in a really good way.

And I wish to thank EVERYONE for allowing us to go on like this in a thread that is only slightly related.

Which means they don't have a spiritual body. They resurrect back to their old mortal bodies like Lazarus did.
Not according to what is written the body goes back to dust. The answer to the problem is given here

1 Corinthians 15:49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

REMEMBER Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

Matthew 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Ecclesiastes 12:6 Or ever the silver cord be loosed, or the golden bowl be broken, or the pitcher be broken at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the cistern.
7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

1 Corinthians 15:50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God;
neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

This now I say brothers that flesh and blood {the} kingdom of God to inherit not is able

nor the decay the immortality does inherit

Luke 16:22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom:
the rich man also died, and was buried;

WE ALL HAVE THE TWO BODIES. We will all use both bodies. ALL WILL STAND IN JUDGMENT but it will be on a day not like this day today. WHEN CHRIST RETURNS 'HEAVEN' OR THE UNSEEN WORLD WILL COME WITH HIM TO EARTH.

THE 'SPIRITUAL BODY' IS THE BODY FOR THAT 'LIFE'.

BUT BECAUSE THE UNSAVED DIDN'T RAISE UP IN THEIR GLORIFIED BODY AND RECEIVE IMMORTALITY (THE FIRST KIND OF RESURRECTION JUST LIKE CHRIST)

BUT REMAINED IN THE EARTH WHERE THERE THE BODY DECAYS, THE SPIRITUAL BODY THAT RISES DOESN'T RECEIVE ITS IMMORTALITY BECAUSE IT IS OF THE SECOND KIND OF RESURRECTION, THE ONE THAT FACES THE 2ND DEATH.

at least that is what I can show IS WRITTEN

1 Corinthians 15:20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.

This verse says clearly that Jesus' resurrection is the firstfruits. That means Jesus was the first to receive a glorified body.

Here is a FIRST resurrection
Actually, v.20 and v.23 means it is BEFORE the "first resurrection" of believers. After the "firstfruits" resurrection, follows the resurrection of all the saved, which Rev 20:5 calls the FIRST resurrection. That obviously shows that the next and second resurrection will be of all the unbelievers, for the GWT judgment.

This took place
back when Christ became the FIRSTFRUITS OF THEM THAT SLEPT. When He gave up the ghost and the GRAVES OPENED AND many of them that slept were even SEE walking around in the city

All that is irrelevant to resurrection in the sense of receiving a glorified body. NONE of those who came out of their graves got a glorified body that couldn't die again. Or the Bible would have made it clear.

21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.
22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits;

Here are many many FIRST resurrections of those who GO TO BE WHERE HE IS

afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.
What are you referring to by "here are many" and "afterward they...".

HERE IS the final FIRST RESURRECTION
22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom the rich man also died, and was buried;
This isn't even a resurrection.

Don't you believe Acts 24:15? It says there is a resurrection for the saved and a resurrection of the unsaved.

And 1 Cor 15:23 tells us WHEN the saved will be resurrected (including a glorified body); "when He comes", the second advent.

AN EXAMPLE one of the many FIRST RESURRECTIONS - Lazarus carried by angels to heaven NOT BURIED like the unsaved

There is only 1 "first resurrection". The Bible is clear that trib martyrs are in that first resurrection, which occurs "when He comes" at the Second Advent.

Any "rising from the grave" but without getting a resurrection body does NOT count in the "first resurrection".

Do you believe that poor 'ol Eutycus was resurrected by Paul laying across him after his fall from a window?

WHAT IS IT THAT DEFINES "THE FIRST RESURRECTION" FOR US?

The Bible alone. Rev 20:5.

Revelation 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them,

"THEY" ARE THE ARMIES WHICH WERE IN HEAVEN WHO FOLLOW HIM UPON WHITE HORSES CLOTHED IN FINE LINEN, WHITE AND CLEAN.
Revelation 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them
and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus,
Why stop at v.4?
v.5 (The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended.) This is the first resurrection.

Red words refer to all unbelievers, who will be resurrected in mortal bodies after the Millennium, to appear before the GWT Judgment.
Blue words refer specifically to the Trib martyrs, but applies to all believers who will receive glorified bodies at the Second Advent.

THE RETURNING ARMY WHICH WE SEE SITTING ON HORSES AND DRESSED IN FINE LINEN, WHEN THEY ARE LEAVING HEAVEN. ARE THEY GLORIFIED BODIES?

No. Not possible. The single resurrection of all believers will occur at the Second Advent. The returning army haven't been resurrected yet.

1 Corinthians 15:42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption 43 It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:
OK. Your point?

and for the word of God,
and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands
RETURNING WITH CHRIST IN THE ARMY ALSO ALL HAVING BEEN RESURRECTED IN GLORY THEMSELVES

Huh? None of them have been resurrected. Where did you come up with this from?

and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
Right. End of Rev 20:4. You need to keep reading and understanding v.5.

Please tell me why not. The phrase "dead in Christ shall rise" refers to the bodies of the saints who return with Jesus. Obviously.

17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

WITH THEM ALREADY ON THE HORSES WHO WILL SIT ON THE THRONES.
Please understand, this is definitely not a new 'spirit' by any stretch. My refusal began in the beginning when one of the first things 'man' taught me turned out to be false along with all that followed. The 'de programing' to start over from the very beginning (THANK GOD I didn't know much) was still very difficult.

From that point on it was precept on precept....beginning to end. From His words to my ears. I don't believe there has been a time since that I have not personally looked up everything some one else has shared with me when it comes to His words. Please accept this apology if I have offended and let's move forward...
When I said, "As I see that another spirit has come into the theatre of meaning to award your refusal I will take another position once again." I was not speaking about yourself other than your refusal. That I can understand fully. No problem with me, brother. Just signalling my continued opposition to that spirit that came into the theatre of your meaning. I could explain - but it is already clear to the one I spoke to. God Bless.

I believe I have. Believers will be raised in a glorified body. Now, how does the soul of the believer, who is in heaven, get into a glorified
body? Jesus brings the souls with Him (1 Thess 4). That's how they will be raised.
That may be what you say but that isn't what you PUT FORTH.

WHAT IS PUT FORTH IS when death comes the body goes into the ground and the spirit goes to heaven. THEN when the Lord returns the spirit is brought back with the Lord and 'the decayed dead body rises up becoming glorified and meets with the spirit in the air'.

DO YOU SEE HOW VERY MISLEADING IT IS? Your claim is to one set of words that don't match the reality of what is believed.
It is a quasi resemblance at best.
Actually I think the mechanics of it might prohibit you from making that claim at all. It is not good.

You might want to really give that some thought.
There is so much I disagree with that I don't know where to begin.
I think to end would be the better path for us. I read through the last few posts/comments and it is clear we have covered pretty much everything. Again Thank you. I only wish I could have helped you like you did me.

I bring the bible.
You somehow find your way to pervert it.
Unreal actually.

You actually believe that , or are you just having problems with who posted it?
You said Holy Spirit is received by laying of hand, not me. You were echoing Simon the sorcerer’s idea right there in Acts 8:19, and you so conveniently cut that part off.

You would actually infer Gods word to be demonic????

Acts 8
14 Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John:

15 Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost:

16 (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)

17 Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.

You are in a bad place when you make it your job to pervert Gods word
And btw, God doesn’t have a “ghost”, God has a SPIRIT. “The Spirit if God was hovering above the waters,” Gen. 1:2. Ghost is what doubting Thomas thought he was seeing. You need to repent for perverting God’s words and promoting demonic practices.

I don't accept a "final first resurrection". That is a contradiction of terms.

A "first" of anything cannot be the "final" of anything. That should be obvious.

Apparently you think that "Abraham's Bosom" is simply a grave then. What else could it be?

Did you see that the rich man spoke to Abraham? And Abraham responded back to the rich man? Dead bodies don't talk.

Kinda like "dead men tell no tales". :)

I guess we're just way far apart in our views about life and death. Well, at least we tried.

Not according to what is written the body goes back to dust.

So? It comes out of the dust as well. It's called a resurrection.

Joh 5:28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,
Joh 5:29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

Coming out of the grave means the body is recomposed and given life again. Adam came out of the dust, died and went back to the dust and will resurrect and come out of it again.

I'm not clear on how I helped you.

And why not at least explain to me what you believe occurs when a believer dies. Both body and soul.
You helped me by remaining in the conversation so that I had to go find each and every scripture and piece it together so nothing conflicted and everything worked together exactly as written, the exact story told. No hiccups what so ever.

That is why I am responding to you now. I have tried to figure this out for at least the last 2 years. Been a long long time.

So here is what I believe

When this flesh finally dies I will pass from this 'seen' world into the 'unseen' world. From flesh/spirit/soul to spirit/body/soul. The only thing that 'dies' or quits being of use is this actual flesh. The 'me' that 'I' currently am is ALMOST the EXACT SAME ME that I will be, I just will have shed this flesh and blood and though it will stay here I, in my spiritual body will RISE up and be met by the angels who will take me to heaven where my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will meet me and He will bring me to the FATHER, the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY and I shall continue on living there with all those who have gone before and who, like me, will be waiting until all the host of heaven have been born on earth.

GONE will be the desires and temptations I fought with, gone will be the sinful flesh that needed to be crucified daily, that needed to be fed that need to be entertained that needed to go to the dentist, and best of all gone will be the pain. And replacing it is a lighter brighter younger imperishable me in a completely healthy body that doesn't age, doesn't get sick that no other can hurt, my Spiritual body. No longer weighed down by the dust of the earth and the blood it took to keep it alive, NOW made out of...I haven't got A CLUE. I, like Paul, am so willing to be absent this body, this realm and my desire is to be with the Lord. Possibly always has been.

And then the moment will come in which we will all mount our horses to return to the earth and watch it be brought into the heavenly realm of existence. I will see the dead rise and I will see the alive and remaining changed and they will join with us as we go and do as instructed. I am sure while I am in heaven I will be taught what I need to know, for wherever I will be assigned, just like everyone else. We will be spending the next 1000 years saving as many of the 'dead' as possible by bringing them the words of God so that at the end of that 1000 years they may also experience the life, the resurrection to immortality and to truly then be able to feel the pure love of our Creator, our Savior our Father.

And when Satan and all evil have been taken care of, we will watch as God brings about the NEW HEAVEN AND THE NEW EARTH and we will see the Holy City of Jerusalem coming down to earth so that GOD will DWELL with us and HE WILL BE OUR ONE TRUE GOD. And all of this will be no longer remembered and

In the beginning....

So you say. Did God say that? OR did God tell us we had 2 bodies? Why would we reuse an old decrepit dust of the earth body to go to HEAVEN? instead of say THE HEAVELY ONE?
