It's been proven time and again. But you, for one, being a liar as you are, reject clear truth. I don't know the reason for everyone else disbelieving clear scripture.

From the old testament to the new. It is not, and never has been, acceptable in God's eyes for women to lead - either from the pulpit nor the governors house.

Isaiah 3:12 "As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths."

1 Corinthians 14:34 "Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the law."
All this is plain truth. And the principle is very clearly reiterated by Paul in his general statements, which are to be applied by all churches. But the feminist infected crowd of advocating female clergy will only yell at you, calling you sexist, dinosaur, lessening the value of women, lording it over women and etc, etc. So be thankful for the slander you will endure for righteousness sake. It's a blessing.

Lol tribesman if a few miffed Christian ladies make you feel slandered and persecuted I dont know what you'd do if you faced what the disciples faced. I'm a long, long, long way from a feminist. I disagree with them totally. But on this issue, well I wont rehash why I think females can be pastors. That doesn't make me feminist nor a bad Christian.Whatever your opinion is God looks on the heart.I'm thankful for that.

Sorry i do not need a 'demon's' prayer. Save it for your 'self' and the 'demon' inside of you hiding, for you desperately and definitely need prayers for your carnal/flesh and it's fruits ignorance and arrogance and to cast out that 'demon' from inside of you.

i pray GOD the FATHER of our LORD JESUS CHRIST send HIS servants to do that for you.

i have a word for you after all of that by the will of GOD takes place in your life and it is written that;

"Your sins are forgiven thee , sin no more, or something worst shall happen to you."

Hi, my Sister. Yes, you warned me. Thank you! :)

I know we are to live out the Greatest Commandment, and I do so to the best of my ability, but sometimes my love is displayed more like Jesus turning over the tables in the temple rather than Jesus on the Cross.

God bless you always, my Sister! :D

Lol yes I know! Its hard when you butt heads with some people.Sometimes I think Im talking in circles to some folks.Others just want to seem more spiritual than the rest of us I guess. But there are some really mean spirited things being said in this tread.Surprised it's not shut down but someone will start the argument again somewhere.Bless you too and have a great evening brother !!

I have not even thought it that way. What I told phil112 is the fact that this is the way you get treated by many of those in favor of female clergy. And the more persecuted for the sake of righteousness, the more blessed.

In this particular issue you would have the feminist theologians giving the same sort of arguments as you and others here had.

I don't think he says he hates women. Maybe you should let him speak his own mind on that first?

Well said Tribesman. I think that it's correct that Paul was quite clear on the position that women should have in the Church. It was not cultural or contextual, but fundamental, this is how God created woman, that man be the head of them. Understand clearly that Paul, myself and any other reasonable Christian are not saying that women are not competent, unqualified or incapable of preaching the word, imparting divine wisdom and nurturing the flock, but he is saying that it is inappropriate. There are many authoritative figures who are incompetent, deceitful, subversive and abusive, but as far as their position is concerned, those under their authority must not attempt to usurp their rank. It is not proper for a child to attempt to defy his parents, irrespective of how correct his rationale may be. It is not appropriate to challenge a policeman despite how flawed his awareness is. A woman should not have a position of authority over a man whether or not she is more capable or not, and we all know that there are thousands of woman who are more capable. Paul says God did not plan it this way, and does not want it to be as such. If woman are displeased with their male pastors, priests, ministers etc.., they should encourage them to be better, not challenge them.

Yes,we do usually agree.I have other friends on here that I respect their opinion but I dont always agree with them.We have gone over this again and again so its not going to help to repeat it.But for your benefit I will.I believe was talking to the women in that church specifically, not all women forever. He later talks about women praying and prophesying so if he forbade women to speak what did they do,cluck? Need to laugh because this thread has become ridiculous. Adam was not deceived,Eve was but Adam still sinned and was punished for it. Are you saying women are not to be trusted because Eve was deceived and transgressed?

I have traveled in many, many churches and many of them were in small towns.Sometimes there was no man to be pastor and there was a woman pastor.I know some wonderful female pastors and have several in my family. Now I dont want to be too harsh with you Marc but some men keep saying women are committing a sin when they preach.I simply dont agree. But my question is this: How come men are not stepping up and filling the gap when pastors are needed? Women are stepping up and keeping church doors open. Why aren't men being obedient to the call? If men are there to do it,and God is calling men and not women then why are they disobeying the call on their lives?! Who is in sin now?

Are you saying women are not to be trusted because Eve was deceived and transgressed?

Dear friend,

I can't take credit or blame for it! I cited Scripture. I consider Scripture authoritative; and if you think about it, I believe that I have seen evidence that you do too.

So you are saying that Isaiah 3:12 is saying that women can not lead in any capacity? A woman can not be the president or prime minister of a country?

Regarding 1 Corinthians 14:34, if you are saying this is a universal rule for women, then why does it say several verses back in 1 Corinthians 11:5 that women "prosphesieth" I wonder? Doesn't this appear to be a contradiction?

Instead of just ranting and regurgitating the same verses, why don't you actually defend your position? Answer questions, discuss. This is a discussion forum, not a rant and regurgitate forum.

Oh, and those who agree with you should do likewise.

So now you are being persecuted. How Christ-like of you.

Do you want some cheese with that whine?

Fermented whine, of course.

Instead of ranting, why don't you answer some questions?

One of your cronies said that you can find the first deacons in Acts 6.

Do you agree with that statement?

If so, please expound.

The word deacon can not be found in Acts 6.

You are the one who went on and on about the word ordained.

Does Act 6 describe the process of ordination?

I'm also interested in what others who would have us discriminate against women have to say on this.

I was once very guilty of this, too. I wanted what I wanted and claimed that anything else was unfair. I refused to see Gods way, and said anyone who would have supported it was just cruel and hated people like me.

Now, after all thats happened to me, I have learned to let go of all those earthly things, and just trust in all that God wants. Nothing on this earth even means anything to me. The role I have been given as male was something I once hated so much, and now, though sorta being odd about it :p, I just want to try to do whats right by God. I have totally let go of whatever I want, and have decided to make God my greatest desire. And since then, all these things, gender, leadership, a fake feeling of equality, feeling good, even the idea of fairness, its all really meaningless, all made to make you feel good for rebelling.
I had to be put through a ton of despair to get to this :p, but I no longer see all this as being so great and important like much of the earth does.

Everything is meaningless :p

Inappropriate?

That's a rather mild word compared to words your cronies have used.

As in, female pastors are going to the abyss and the like.

Does inappropriate mean that this is sinful behavior that must be repented and turned away from?

Perhaps you're right. It's more accurate to say he condemns to hell everyone who disagrees with him.
