When discussing surrendering my will for God's during the stage of Regeneration by definition of Submission, is not something I am working to do by Accepting God but I am yielding to God. I am saying let Your Will be DONE by not resisting Him.
Your testimony is, “I, I, I” it should be He, He, He. That’s the difference between Arminians and Calvinists.

You laid your will aside and took upon yourself God’s will, you yielded to God, you accepted God, you chose God… But wait, didn’t you say, “my salvation is absolutely nothing I’ve ever done”?

Don’t you see the contradiction?
No, because for a moment I wondered if this was stupid. I had many thoughts but I only was noticing God. I don't think you have really been down on your knees crying out to God and thinking you blew the last chance to be accepted because you knew you really didn't commit to it before. And you got used to not feeling the presence of God. You think every person Saved fits into a cookie sheet and done same way like a big mac.

My Testimony is what I experienced. So there will be lots of I's because it was me experiencing it. So I probably have a better idea about how that went down than someone who never met me.

How do you testify about what God has done for you without mentioning yourself? .:unsure::rolleyes:

Jesus died for you, you, you, and me too! :D

One difference between Calvinists and non-Calvinists is, non-Calvinists do not claim
that God has withheld His offer of salvation from some whom He will then punish
eternally for failing to accept what was not offered to them in the first place.

Did everyone in this discussion get Saved the Billy Graham way, repeat after me, ok, you are Saved?

Because, that ain't how it happened when I accepted Christ and was filled with the Holy Spirit.
I was told of Jesus Christ - who He is, what He did and what He offers us. I rejoiced and have lived my life loving Him ever since.

I remember actually saying that to someone, the person who told me Who Jesus is...

"Oh, no! I am becoming one of them."

It was almost a wail.
But see how one person hears the Word Preached and commits their life to God immediately and you took awhile. The seed grew roots and took time for you to Believe.

God revealed Himself to me in very personal and profound ways. Well, how can it not be profound?

Still, I did not want to believe it was the same God I had been rejecting and running from the majority of my adult life.

However, there did come a point when I realized I had quit fighting. I was already going to church
and then was invited to the Alpha Course, as I mentioned in a different thread earlier today...

I had been seeking for many years and pretty much exhausted other avenues, especially after
God specifically told me to put down my pagan practice just over a year before I was baptized.

Jesus is Lord of everyone and everything; always has been, always will be. As far as asking Him to be my Savior, the day I heard of Jesus was the day I believed so it was basically automatic.

That said, when I was 29 I hit a low point in my life and cried out to Jesus to help me, and He did. I was already baptized as an infant and confirmed when I was twelve, but at 29 I chose to be baptized of my own accord.

Now on a routine basis I always say, Lord, into your hands I commit my spirit (Psalm 31). Not sure if that answers your question.

I was 39 when I hit a very low point, and cried out to God for help. I wanted the pain in my life to stop...

Within days I was clean and sober, and lost the desire to use mind and mood altering substances,
after twenty four years of alcohol and drug use. I started going more regularly to 12 step fellowships.
I had been going to AA and another off and on for years, without any real commitment to them.

That changed. Now, I had not asked God to help me stop drinking and drugging. Nope!
But stopping those things and seeking guidance and inspiration from others who had
likewise found a new way to live seemed a reasonable thing to do, and I made many
friends and acquaintances over the years, some who were Christian, and I loved hearing
their God stories, though I was not yet in a place to believe in the God they were talking about.

That took much longer... As I said, I was very stiff necked! I surrendered my will and my life to God at age 49.

I’m saying heresy breeds heresy, the proof is in the pudding.
Follow the path of destruction and it always leads back to Arminianism/Pelagianism.
Yes, and sometimes a system starts in heresy and ends in heresy.
