Since I answered this recently, I'll give a different answer to change things up a bit (but still an honest answer). I'm a recluse, maybe even a bit of a lone wolf. I like peacefulness. Relationship drama is very draining. I trust the Lord's will for my future. What does the new year hold? I dunno, but I'm looking forward to finding out. One doesn't need a relationship to move forward and to grow through the tough times and happy times and to enjoy the little moments and the big moments of life.
Additionally, as I am, I can have many peaceful moments watching the birds and sipping coffee :coffee: 🐦

Because wanting a natural born woman that doesn’t use drugs is considered ‘high standards’ these days.
But what about chocolate? If you cannot condone either caffeine or sugar, then chocolate is obviously forbidden. Also candy, cakes, pies... All the stuff that makes life worth living.

What kind of woman would want to live like that?!

Well, everyone is different. Candy, cakes, pies don't make life worth living in my opinion. Those things are nice, but as a woman I could live without them. Coffee on the other hand, I refuse to live without :coffee:

Of course, I realize that I'm not the norm as far as women go...or anyone really :p

On a serious note, having said that, if either partner makes something forbidden for the other partner, that could be a big problem. For example, I had someone tell me I had to stop listening to secular music/watching secular movies in order to remain in the relationship, because according to them that's what God wanted. I said, "No, that's what you want."

I mean, there's no way I'm going to give up watching butt kicking movies. And partners shouldn't likewise have to give up candy, cakes, pies, etc.

To sum it all up folks: enjoy life, be single! :D

You heathen! :p

Also, try Whiteheart if you like Metallica. Also Steve Camp. Probably. I'd say 68% chance you'll like Steve Camp. But definitely try Whiteheart.

I'm single because I'm like that book about paper airplanes at the bottom of the bargain bin at the bookstore. Rarely seen and no one's interested. Also, not much use to anyone. :sneaky: But it's ok because the last thing I need is drama. I love my quiet, peaceful life. :coffee:

The book in your post grabbed my eye, so I looked up paper airplane books and found that there are several of these types of books.
Very interesting. Now, I have visions of paper airplanes flying around in my head. I should get one of these books. Might be therapeutic ✈️

Preach it, Sister!!

A major reason as to why I'm single is because I learned a long time ago that a lot of Christians are much more interested in using Biblical principles to get what THEY want -- and not necessarily what God wants.

They want to make people into their OWN image and likeness, not the Lord's.

When I was on dating sites and I didn't want to give out my number right away (I asked to talk via writing on the site for several months first,) I'd be told, "Well, if you were actually a real, mature Christian who actually trusted God, you wouldn't be so paranoid."

I do trust God.

And you know what He gave me? Common sense, and the patience to get to know people slowly. I understand that most people don't like writing and prefer the phone, but it helped weed out a lot of riff raff.

It's possible I may have missed out -- and yeah, I'm still single.

But I've never had to change my number (like so many others I've known who have,) or had to get rid of a stalker, praise God.

Sure, no method is foolproof -- but I'm thankful God gave me the insight to be cautious.
