I love being drowned in it every day, it soothes my soul. I listen while reading the word too.

:o

I enjoy listening to movie soundtracks, most of which are orchestral but otherwise it's not a favoured genre of mine. I love symphonic metal though (it's metal music with strong orchestral undertones).

I, too, enjoy classical music. Here is a video I made in which I combined 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 with Johann Sebastian Bach's classical piece "Sonata for Violin and Harpsichord No.3 in E major"

"The aim and final end of all music should be none other than the glory of God and the refreshment of the soul." - Johann Sebastian Bach

Put me down as an orch dork also :)

Rossini, Tchicovsky, Zimmer, Gershwin, Gould, Sousa, I could go on and on. I'll just post one I think is under-appreciated:

My favorite classical-ish group is Apocalyptica... Epic band!

I like, like someone else posted I think, symphonic metal which has a lot of classical and orchestral influence... like Nightwish and stuff...

I also like music like Secret Garden... not straight up classical but close enough. More like classical with a celtic flair.

I'm absolutely passionate about great classical music.
I play classical piano as a hobby, and love going to the symphony and the ballet.

David Meece puts a lot of classical influence in his music. Of course he went to a music conservatory and was a child prodigy..

From the the last CD I bought: Alessandro Striggio: Mass for 40 and 60 Voices,
Le Concert Spirituel, Hervé Niquet.

It's an introitus...

I've just discovered Andrè Rieu and the Johann Strauss Orchestra. I really, really, really want to see him and his orchestra live.

Classical music performers are often very.... stiff... and look dead serious, these people do not though :D
