They say, "You are Christ, Son of the Living God!"
They say, "These men are preaching the way to salvation!"
They, being spirits and knowing Gods plans, comprenend the actions which take place in heaven;
However, as they are subject to satan, they have no way of knowing the goodness of God, nor comprehend how salvation may extend to them.
The demons are spirits who feed off the flesh of men to fulfill their own sins, whether that be lust, greed, gluttony; they will abuse a man however they please to get their way. To them Gods word is a reproach and a snare. When Jesus meets them, they immediately presume he's there to "torment them before the time", and don't take into account the mecy he shows them by granting their request instead.
To a demon, God is an evil entity who created them just to finally torment them in the end, who are unwilling to repent of their insolent ways and do a single righteous thing to save themselves. These 'see' God and his power, but don't actually beleive in a single word He says; and for those who acknowledge it, they will attack a faithful soul by twisting the word in their heart inside their mind, out of the sheer envy the demon feels for the faithful mans security in a better place than them.
Demons beleive God is one. They don't beleive in the testimony of Jesus, or take to heart the way of truth; they only use the prophecies to deceive men, and measure how much time they have left for themselves. They are purely against their maker, against their only chance to escape the fate prepared for them. They have determined that the lust of flesh is their portion, and have no interest in the fruits of righteousness. They have set their hearts to do as much wickedness with their forms as possible, and nothing more.
