Hey guys, Sean here.
Just need some prayers answered pronto.
I’m experiencing a really horrible living situation.
My brother is ditching school to use drugs and alcohol and have sex with his underage girlfriend. He just turned 18 and this year he already got two tattoos (and they aren’t even well done, very poor quality). He stays up till 5am on school nights, doesn’t listen to my mother, cusses at her and I’m pretty sure he just joined a gang a few months ago.

He was never ever like this. He was always so innocent and all this just came out of nowhere.
His dad has barely been in the picture his whole life.
I tried to be there for him, prayed with him through out his life, bought him a men’s study bible, he read some of Matthew even. We use to watch sermons together, I brought him to different churches I’ve gone to. He was an honors gifted magnet student, has every college in the country after him to go to their school but this year, he basically threw that all away.
I don’t know what to do.
I personally feel so overwhelmed that I can’t sleep at night and I have been having suicidal thoughts and even thoughts to harm my family. (I contacted my therapist about that immediately and talked to the crisis team here where I live)

Anyways, has anyone else ever gone through something this crazy before? If so, I’d love to hear from you.

Any prayers will do.
Thank you. 🙏

Thank you for the heart @seoulsearch
I was the same way at his age, but I didn't get tattoos, and I didn't join a gang. I also wasn't an honors, gifted magnet student.
I lived in Orange at the time and went to Villa Park's high school, so I was in a much safer area, so maybe because we now live in one of the most dangerous areas in California, he might just be adapting to this new school he just started.
Anyway, it's really heartbreaking. I've been having heart issues since this school year began.

Everyone is fighting a battle we know nothing about.
Stay strong Sean and pour your heart out to God.

Remember, O LORD, what has happened to us.

Look and see our disgrace!

Our inheritance has been turned over to strangers,

our houses to foreigners.

We have become fatherless orphans;

our mothers are widows.

We must buy the water we drink;

our wood comes at a price.

We are closely pursued;

we are weary and find no rest.

We submitted to Egypt and Assyria

to get enough bread.

Our fathers sinned and are no more,

but we bear their punishment.

Slaves rule over us;

there is no one to deliver us from their hands.

We get our bread at the risk of our lives

because of the sword in the wilderness.

Our skin is as hot as an oven

with fever from our hunger.

Women have been ravished in Zion,

virgins in the cities of Judah.

Princes have been hung up by their hands;

elders receive no respect.

Young men toil at millstones;

boys stagger under loads of wood.

The elders have left the city gate;

the young men have stopped their music.

Joy has left our hearts;

our dancing has turned to mourning.

The crown has fallen from our head.

Woe to us, for we have sinned!

Because of this, our hearts are faint;

because of these, our eyes grow dim—

because of Mount Zion, which lies desolate,

patrolled by foxes.

You, O LORD, reign forever;

Your throne endures from generation to generation.

Why have You forgotten us forever?

Why have You forsaken us for so long?

Restore us to Yourself, O LORD, so we may return;

renew our days as of old,

unless You have utterly rejected us

and remain angry with us beyond measure.

Jesus said we would have offences. But woe to those who the offences come by. He said it was not always going to be easy. And some Christians get beatin over periods of years, even 10 or 20 years. Then die.
