The Tears of God
Immortal One, the perfect One that Is
Justly loving Himself, The Father Son and Spirit
From His being of love spilling out, creates
Making all things
and the angels and us that mate
Producing Sons and Daughters,
That could be His own,
The spirits He has sown
Of a heart of love, He gave all freedom fair
But Alas!
Angels and men fell to meanness and despair
Heart of God, the heart that loves, and loves
With tears like rivers of kindness and mercy
ached and grieved the fate of man
My son, My son we want those we love,
To remove their meanness,
to embrace again
Will you take the cup away dear Father, can I stand?
But if you will not,
I will rise from the dead, yes, I can!
My Father you will not the let the grave hold me in
And through my cross of suffering,
we will our beloved bride win
So we your children love you Father
that loved and loved us so
To give your Son for us to you know
