I just finished posting on another members poem Wich reminded me of a dance the way they bring their words together .. god lifted a veil between He and I in my own ..
The dance
I saw two sets of languages
Each set were like poetry
Both sets belonging to One
One set handed as a gift to me
Two languages at a distance
Became like partners in dance
We first smiled and became familiar
His lips parting becoming hands
I didnt know how to tango
his lips gently smiled again
His word becoming first
On my back I felt his hand
Silently he took me
Out onto the floor
I didn't know what to say
he whispered to reassure
finally I spoke a little
my focus became askew
he held me close and laughed
my toe upon his shoe
he slowly stopped and glided
me elegantly into place
He pulled me near
I had no fear
Of words used as mistakes
his cheek on mine
he whispered "dear"
Michelle Michelle it's fine
I have so many
To give you plenty
our dance was out of time
we parted ways
but I just stayed
the music filled the air
I kept his word inside my purse
reminiscing to them there
off the floor
I stood once more
As others took their stance
I smiled and waved
Enjoying the day
"excuse me, may I have this dance"
I turned my head
to Him instead
Knowing who it was
that whisper came
I blushed with shame
He sounded like a dove
to the floor we dance some more
This time, words more intimate
he drew me close
So then I chose
To use his word of sentiment
My back to His chest , so I could rest
He stuck words in my locket
He smiled at me
Said will you please
place yours inside my pocket
I obeyed to His grace
he stepped me in place
In front before I knew it
away from Him
I just grinned
To his feet
I came up to his chin
he drew me close
so that I would know
No dance would be like this
His eyes to mine
Us in line
He finished the dance with a kiss
it was to my cheek
My knees so weak
He held me by the hand
it was then I knew
A kiss He blew
His loving word
That doesn't pretend
I turned around
And to his face
A tear into my eye
Every word exchanged
The price was paid
into the night my words did fly
Into the week
I could not speak
So touched by His sweet exchange
and then the day
I opened my mouth
On my tongue, His words came
so you see,
this dance with this stranger
Changed me forever
I'm present, but quietly
I whisper the words
He gave with such love
His words are now inside me
I've come to know
Don't stop but go
You'll never know who you'll meet
the dance with this stranger
That changed me forever
was actually God
Who exchanged His word ,for me ..
