I hope the people of Syria get something better than Assad, but it'll be a miracle if they do. Seems like regime changes in the Middle East go from bad to worse. Maybe the Kurds will get their own country out of this. They gained some land out of this too.
It would help if the USA wasn't constantly meddling in the area for how long now?
Wrong again.
You absolutely have no idea what you are talking about.
The US helps the Kurds because they are the underdogs of the area for no fault of their own. They were made scapegoats when the Jews left for Israel.
Personally I think it might be a mistake but they are such a small player in Syria it's pathetic.
A terrorist group that fights AlQuaida and ISIS and just about everyone has gained the biggest chunk of land. Their leader has a $10 million bounty on his head.
There are other groups that have seized control over their little area. All have leftover Russian munitions. They took a 2,000 year old cannon out of the museum and fired it off at Syrian troops. (What a shame destroying it this way)
There's like 40 or 50 different local groups all wanting a piece of Syria. But Turkey, Iran, Russia and Jordan all want pieces to control. (Russia has evacuated and abandoned their soldiers and a bunch of equipment)
The US has bases there to stop violence and abuse. These guys are fired upon regularly. They take pot shots at our guys who just try to help protect civilians.
There are Christians there in Allepo and elsewhere....migrated there from Lebanon when the radicals took over.
The pain of Assad's rule is going to be long lasting.
The area known as Antioch in the book of Acts is right there....

Actually Assad is a better alternative than these so called moderate rebels who are in fact Turkish backed terrorists. Assad never messed with Christians in Syria and they were safe, what do you think Will happen with hayat tahrir al sham and all these radicals, they will institute a theocracy
The likelihood of this is slim to none.Probably, but I can hope something better comes of this.
Syria won't have a better government, after all almost their entire population are pagan. They may have a temporary era of relative peace though as it seems to me Syria is exhausted from a decade of war. I could be wrong though and they might just devolve into even more fractured sectarian in-fighting now that their primary shared enemy is gone, but I think given how fast Assad was toppled in this new offensive and how little resistance was put up that this indicates that Syria is just frankly worn out. The silver-lining for the West, particularly Europe, but also America as well, should be that now is a great time to deport all the invaders back with full justification, get them out fast and get them out en masse.
What is awesome is the jails being emptied out. Some of these are Christians arrested in Lebanon and Jailed in Syria....they have been there for 20 years....isolated and forgotten. Political prisoners imprisoned for being Christians.
The future looks bleak but for today there's joy in receiving family members back from prison.
Where is Assad? Did his plane crash when tried to flee?
It would help if Turkey was not intent on committing genocide on the Kurds, ISIS was not intent on enforcing a Muslim caliphate everywhere, Iran just left everyone alone, Islam became the "religion of peace" it claims to be and Israel was not under constant threat. It would also help if Russia kept its nose out of the Middle East.It would help if the USA wasn't constantly meddling in the area, how long has it been now?
