Struggles Come And Go...

Hey,

In my life I've fought through many spiritual battles. The first was realizing that I wanted to ask God into my heart. It took a long time for me to get to that stage, although I'd always been supported by my family.

The second was overcoming my depression. I almost killed myself many times...It was extremely hard, but God got me through it.

Although I had become a Christian and conquered depression, I still felt something was missing. Then one day I discovered what it was.

I had given God my heart but not my LIFE. A couple weeks ago I made the choice to give him my life and things have been going amazing since then. I thought nothing could ever go wrong.

But now I realize God always has something in store for us, be it good or bad. Now God is challenging me to save my family, who has slowly fallen away from Christ while I've been drawing closer to him.

It's hard because they won't listen to anything I say. Please pray for my family and for me and that God would give me the knowledge and strength I need to help my family.

Any advice would be helpful. Thanks.
 
It is so true. you need to read your bible and arm yourself for the war ahead of you. When you try and shine for God, the demons will come and try and destroy you while you are still learning how to defend yourself. Trust in the Lord your God, He is more powerful than anything in this world. remember Job and what the devil made him go through. I will keep you in my prayers, please keep me in yours.

Also what I have noticed a lot in my own life is that when I make new choices in God, when I start making decisions that are good for my own walk and faith in God, then I start getting more difficulties on my way. I get many attacks as in getting more bad/frightening nighmares, other people might try breaking me down with words and actions, etc...

Still, what I keep close to my heart is that devil get's more afraid by us when we begin taking more stronger stand in God and in His Word, and this way he might try testing us more through every difficulty we might experience. The good part is that we grow more through these difficulties, and as long as we remain close to God also in prayer, He will be made glorified through us in Him. :) We are also to learn to rejoice whenever we face difficulties in life 'cause of Christ, because if we get troubles just because of doing what is good and right in God, doesn't this means that we are on the good way with God? And if we are on the good way with God, shouldn't we then keep on rejoicing in Him as well, giving Him all thanks and praises towards Him? We have a race in front of us, let us walk in the path God has put in front of us armoured in Him and grounded in His Word, growing closer to Him everyday, also keep on growing closer to Him through our given trials, and then keep on walking in faith towards Victory in Christ Jesus. :)
