If I had a penny
For every town I've known
An' if I had a nickel
For every song I've sung
If I had a quarter
For every tear I've cried
And if I had a dollar
For every hurt I felt inside
I'd be the richest
Richest one in the world

If I had a ruby
For every drop of blood You shed
And if I had an emerald
For every single debt
If I had a piece of silver
For every sin You took
And if I had a diamond for every beautiful truth in Your Book
I'd be the richest, richest man in the world
Yes I am

When I was lost
A stranger to innocence
When I was guilty
In the face of such evidence
When I was condemned
That's when the veil was rent
When I was broken
You came to my defense

Some of mine are pretty melancholic, deep and meaningful but some people think that they are depressing

Songs like this one. Pure melody, no lyrics. Just melody and my imagination (works perfectly together).
I also listen to this kind of music when I'm tired. It makes me feel calm.

It's early and I'm still tired so I'm not going to post links...yet :P

Poison and Wine by The Civil Wars
Daedalus, A Song for Milly Michaelson, and Image of the Invisible by Thrice
Rosemary by Deftones

This one is to encourage myself to speak to God more
People more, and to let " nothing" pass by those for
Whom I care deeply about .. Simply a reminder to risk it all with no regrets ...

This song reminds me of the truth I came to know of he religion I came from
YouTube

The guy in this video reminds me of who " i was" chasing an alcoholic husband in a fifteen year marriage ( alcohol being the bike he being the woman on it ).
Some things you can't chase, you can't wake up, when you yourself are asleep.. I thank god for waking me up into a new destiny..

This is one that makes me feel like I am dancing in the arms of Jesus....

Jesus Culture - Come Away (Official Music Video) - Music Videos

Jesus Culture was a defining band for me. The song Light of Your Face, amazing.

Love these lyrics: Image of the Invisible by Thrice

We're more than carbon and chemicals
We are the image of the invisible
Free will is ours and we can't let go
We are the image of the invisible
We can't allow this, the quiet cull
We are the image of the invisible
So we sing out this, our canticle
We are the image of the invisible

We all were lost now we are found
No one can stop us or slow us down
We are the named and we are known
We know that we'll never walk alone

We're more than static and dial tone
We are the image of the invisible
We're emblematic of the unknown
We are the image of the invisible
So raise the banner, bend back your bows
We are the image of the invisible
Remove the cancer, take back your souls
We are the image of the invisible

Though all the world may hate us, we are named
The shadow overtake us, we are known

We're more than carbon and chemicals
Free will is ours and we can't let go
We are the image of the invisible
We're more than carbon and chemicals
We are the image of the invisible
Free will is ours and we can't let go
We are the image of the invisible
We can't allow this, the quiet cull
We are the image of the invisible
So we sing out this, our canticle
We are the image of the invisible

Raise up the banner, bend back your bows
Remove the cancer, take back your souls
