I came across several articles, and a few videos on this topic, yet did not find any up for discussion. Wow! that this is even happening.

First let me say that I heard a question posed to the AI on YouTube, goes something like this "if you were the devil what would you do to make war with Christians"?. I was profoundly surprised at the answer, it (AI) in my humble opinion had a profound understanding of the BIBLE & the war that would be, and is being waged against Christians.

some common statements were to distract us, keep us busy, infighting, (yet this was more elegantly stated and more in dept)

What really blew me away was the AI said it would make us avoid faith & love the very new Covenant ,, yes I said that, faith which worketh by love... wow! In my understanding most Christians seem to miss this, or at least the extreme profound depth that penetrates and fills our hearts...

that said, in this modern age of AI producing sermons, leaves a heavy, heavy burden on my heart... I mean how many preachers on the pulpit, that indeed have a platform, truly are not called by GOD ALMIGHTY IN HIS ONE and ONLY SON JESUS to the pulpit..

this using AI is such a sign that although the AI may give you sermons with insight that may even be very informative for Christian study...

how can this pastor truly be in Education in JESUS? would one say, I never heard from GOD, so I ask chatgpt?

it is a sign of the times that these leaders do not have a calling or a true Relationship with JESUS....and again I say WOW.. what a lost time, can the modern church even truly recognize the world, and war we live in, and are engaged in?

yet I digress, what say thee?

bewildered brother
99% of pastors have been using AI for 2000 years or so.

just came across this, says he's called the godfather of AI..

one thing he says is AI has a tendency to lie, cheat and for self preservation and they double in tasks every 7 months. Says in future if they lie they will do it upon multiple computers as they become better at hiding there deception. ( in good faith I paraphrased)

hes trying to sound the warning bells of advanced AI unchecked.

hes says love is the answer, saying are love for our children will put the brakes on this... he is right about LOVE, he just missed the source.... JESUS,

if I heard him right, 5 years to reach human level (agency) again in good faith, certainly not this human, passed me, long ago,, haha,,

save GODS HOLY SPIRIT within me,,, that will always Reign over me and everything else supremely JESUS Willing.

The problem here is that people expect preachers to be pastors. They are not the same gifting.

Further, instead of calling the elders when sick, people call the pastor. There’s no glory in how things were done badly in previous generations. While your grandfather clearly took his role seriously and honourably, he probably was like most “pastors” of previous generations: a one-man show… which was never God’s intention.

Christian leaders would do well to equip people for the work of ministry instead of “doing” it all themselves, which leads to dependence, idolatry, and Christians who can’t do life for themselves.
I agree. My understanding is that "some to be pastors and teachers" in Eph. 4:11 should be translated "pastor-teachers" or "pastors = teachers" and that caring for the physical needs of parishioners is the role of deacons.

one thing that struck me was a jealous for GOD ALMIGHTY ( not that I claim this on a regular basis, )

to think HIS children might say in another area of life, we got this, we can preach the gospel without YOU... wow, as I read the comments about pre programmed sermons, also strikes me as a little off..

I might think that GOD has different timing for different teachings, and preparing our hearts close to the moment (although HE certainly can time one off the self,,haha)

I hope I learn from this conversation the importance of spending time with JESUS, and not looking for short cuts or artificial substitutes, even pre-programmed sermons, and to hopefully avoid artificial influence.

I enjoyed reading the comments so far, and look forward to reading more on this vital subject, I hope this jealous drives me to want to spend more time with GOD, and to promote HIS children to do likewise. in good faith
Each person has their own personal experiences. each person has tragic moments, places in their lives, that were not well for them, when it happened, even whenever in thought(s) over anyone of them. it is as like living that tragic event all over again as if happening presently again, I think this is why God has said to take all thought captive to the obedience of his Son 2 Cor 10:5-7
there is a movie story of a man, that had his tragic moment in life that sent him in thoughts over it, and troubled him against God
"The Shack" is that movie, on Netflix presently
Might, be heart felt for you to see from another person's perspective in their tragedy, that got them stuck to not have a relationship with God, blaming God for the tragedy that happened, that God did not stop, and he felt God should have stopped it to begin with.
I relate to this fiction story and yet see the truth revealed from God in it to us all at least me.
God does want a relationship with each person ever born from man and woman ever since the first Adam in unbelief to death took place, knowing, if he ate from that tree too, after seeing Eve eat and not die as thought would, yet did not, die, so he ate too in unbelief too. Therefore, death has occurred to us all, has it not and continues afterwords from that tree of the knowledge of good and evil, God said death would be if Adam ate from it. So, God sent Son to reconcile us all first as reconciled, forgiven in his death for all. 2 Cor 5:17-20. I see this forgiveness is done, so I can take my hands off the throat of evil, and be new in God's Love for us through Son as risen. Not, easy to start forgiving even those that have done you wrong or so, anyone might think. I know I hate evil and Evil is real and rampant here on earth.
To see God just loves us all over it all, in spite of evil, changes and has changed me in thought
Love too all, is truth from God by Son for us all who overcame evil by Love true Love 1 Cor 13:4-7, 13, and that continues and is what overcomes evil period to me at least. Seeing God desires for us all to see new in love and mercy too as he did by going to that cross for us all to begin with in latter times after the first Adam failed. Amazing love, that comes out of grace, brought me out of the grave, you as well and will, many others as well too, if not yet see it too yet, will thank you Father and Son as Won for us wow, woe is me Isaiah 6:1-7

AI is really Really dumb....

It's a computer within a computer.

A computer is a paperweight until you give it instructions on how to operate and function....and you have to use proper sequencing or its not going to work.

There is not much difference between a computer and AI. (Small wonder)

I tried using AI this morning to search out value vx functionality of a pressure washer. It was absolutely worthless. Absolutely missed all the current reports of damages and complaints and used 4 year old pricing from an abandoned article. (Prices have increased 30-40% since and quality dropped immensely)

Until I made it pay attention to verified current reports and prices....then it actually started having a meltdown because it finally figured out the exact same quandary I was in for picking one out. Took me two hours to get it to get up to speed where i was at with my dilemma when i went to it for answers and then it offered zero solutions.
Meaning I spent two hours of my life getting nowhere.

I had to hold its hand to tell it what stores to consider, returns policies, latest customer feedback data, features and benefits of various models (which I already knew) and current consumer reports of new box opening failures (already broken when opened, missing bolts, poor designs, poor manufacturing quality and the list was long....won't bore you with the details.

But suffice it to say AI should have been able to knock this out of the park....but it failed miserably. A stupid pressure washer. If it can't help with such an expensive but common item....why would someone risk their immortality on something like that?

PS....I want my two hours back.

as I consider this AI using deception and lies, and also has self preservation... as the video suggests, it makes me wonder this must be pre programmed?, or the self preservation .. the self... whoo. the curse of creation within the machine...

well beyond my pay grade

Which has nothing whatsoever to do with AI, which is an acronym for “artificial intelligence”.

AI can be helpful as a writing composition tool. I presume that some pastors are using it now which can be a good thing if it helps them be better understood.

On another note, I think a lot of pastors "borrow" sermons that they've seen on YouTube. I think that's fine too as long as they give credit.

My understanding that we are to take ALL things to the Lord for His guidance, I would seek Holy Spirit guidance for the message He wants given, Jesus did so.
