I need help. I am currently fighting a battle with lust and sex. I am currently 7 1/2 months clean from pornography, but I still struggle with sexual thoughts and physical urges. My best friend and I actually both deal with this and have been helping each other for a while. We have grown closer because of it but it puts a certain strain on our relationship as he and I struggle to keep our thoughts of each other pure. I am seeking advice and support particularly of young women like myself who also struggle with it. I know I'm not the only one, but I feel isolated in my struggle as a young woman with a sex addiction. It's not something the people like to address in men, let alone even mention in women.
 
First thing is your accountability partner should should never be a male when it comes to this issue. As you're already experiencing its adding more temptation and over time you're likely to give in. So step one, stop relying on a male for help.
Step two is finding an older woman, rather than a peer. An older woman will have more insight and knowledge and possibly experience. Another person your age won't have the tools available an older woman will have.
I'd suggest that are two good steps to take.
 
You may want to ask the mods to move this to family forum. You wont find many "women" in a teens forum. Its a teens forum.
 
You definitely need a FEMALE accountability partner like a pastors wife, etc. There is also a program called, "celebrate recovery" and it's sponsored by many churches. Lastly, get plugged into a bible believing, Spirit filled, Jesus loving fellowship. We have to do things God's way if we want to live free
 
I would highly suggest signing up for a program called The Fortify Program! It's free for teens, you just have to apply.

Thank you all so much. I appreciate you taking time to answer me. I do feel however that my best friend and I make a good team. We are not perfect, but without him I would not have made it this far and I do believe that by the grace of God we can be free of this. I am not seeking an accountability partner but rather some friendly insight from a female perspective.
 
I have never seen that luckily but my ex had a porn addiction and since I had no problems with lust I just kicked those demons out for him and it was gone. Later when I divorced I got problems with lust and he kicked them out for me. Instantly gone. There's help groups on internet too where people get set free from porn addiction.
 
Like others have said, a female accountability partner seems like a much better idea.

I've dealt with this problem before. It's a mind problem... I'd advise you to just pray every morning and throughout the day for the strength and you gotta remember to keep your thoughts in check as best you can.

Jesus loves you alright... don't feel so discouraged... you keep going and walking towards God ok
