This post is targeted at older/senior folks. Given that people slow down a bit as they get older due to age, sickness, etc., what life hacks have you encountered/practiced to reduce your workload or have a less stressful life?

Whew I’ll have to think about that one. I’m only 56, so I’m not quite there yet, but I’m starting to feel it in my joints :)

I have mentioned being close to 80 now for two years, well, next month I wll attain that age, God willing.

Two months ago my osteoarthritis flared up in my knees obliging me to use crutches.. As usual, and with truth, I have thanked our blessed Fasther to be privileged with such, just as I dod dfor my fading vision, howeer this time, I confessed I would like to be able to walk without crutches. Well, He made my knees strong again, and I walk great distances agin. So, I suppose my best advice for getting old is, If I stop doing things, I will just be stopped, so I keep on doing. So fat it seems the best for me.

Keep in mind, no matter what always thank our Father, for He is truly good all of the stime. Wonderful, marvelous, and always the true Worthy One, amen.

Having embarked on my fourth stint of 18-year sojourns last year, I'll be 1-year-old for the fourth time this summer.
This is possible as long as I don't stress so much over appearances.
I recently got a new sippy cup.

Life hack... I know I have heard that term before, but as a senior, heh, I am not exactly sure
what it means? Although hacking itself is seen in a negative light from the law enforcement
angle, life hack suggests something more along positive lines, as if it was something that
makes your life easier/smoother/less of a hassle. Could you define what you mean by it?

A life hack is a sort of 'make do with the resources that are readily available to you' in lieu of the most ideal solution. For instance, using baking soda to brush your teeth if you find that you are out of toothpaste just before your appointment with the photographer.

To reduce my workload?
I haven't done any work since the Bush administration, so i have no idea what you're talking about.:giggle:

One thing I have found very useful is to get used to the fact that I'm going to lose everything eventually. If I get that out of the way early, I can enjoy what I have while I have it, without stressing about one day not having it.

I know some day I won't be able to see as clearly as I do now. That's inevitable. But I enjoy it while I have it.

Someday my knees won't be able to take the strain they can endure right now. I already have plans to convert my bicycle to electric. But I can enjoy my ability to bike now while I have it.
