Why is it that so many churches, doctrines, people, want to follow the teachings of the rapture when in so many places God tell us it is a lie?
Matthew 13 (NIV)
The Parable of the Weeds Explained
36Then he left the crowd and went into the house. His disciples came to him and said, “Explain to us the parable of the weeds in the field.”
37He answered, “The one who sowed the good seed is the Son of Man. 38The field is the world, and the good seed stands for the people of the kingdom. The weeds are the people of the evil one, 39and the enemy who sows them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels.
40“As the weeds are pulled up and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the age. 41The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil. 42They will throw them into the blazing furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 43Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Whoever has ears, let them hear.
Matthew 24
The Return of the Son of Man
(Mark 13:24-27; Luke 21:25-28)

26Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. 27For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 28For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.
29Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: 30And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

1Co 15:24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.

Jesus shall deliver the kingdom up to God in heaven which is the resurrection.

Zec 14:1 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee.

Zec 14:2 For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.

Zec 14:3 Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.

Zec 14:5 and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.

Zec 14:9 And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.

Zec 14:12 And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.

Zec 14:16 And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.

Then Jesus comes back with all the saints and fights the world and defeats them and saves Israel.

The battle of Armageddon.

The saints had to be caught up to heaven to come back with Jesus.

Joe 3:1 For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem,

Joe 3:2 I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land.

Joe 3:9 Proclaim ye this among the Gentiles; Prepare war, wake up the mighty men, let all the men of war draw near; let them come up:

Joe 3:10 Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruninghooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong.

Joe 3:11 Assemble yourselves, and come, all ye heathen, and gather yourselves together round about: thither cause thy mighty ones to come down, O LORD.

Joe 3:14 Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision.

Joe 3:15 The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining.

Joe 3:16 The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the
LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.

The same thing here the saints come back with Jesus.

The battle of Armageddon.

Rev 19:11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

Rev 19:14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

Rev 19:15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

This is the same thing and it states Jesus is in heaven and the saints are there in heaven.

And the saints follow Jesus from heaven to earth where He defeats the world.

The battle of Armageddon.

So Jesus delivered up the kingdom to God in heaven the resurrection.

Then Jesus came back with all the saints from heaven.

If they come back with Jesus they must of been resurrected.

Why is it that so many churches, doctrines, people, want to follow the teachings of the rapture when in so many places God tell us it is a lie?

This is the result of a lack of studying. The rapture is true because Paul taught it. The only issue is WHEN the rapture happens not if it happens. It happens after the trib not before or during it.

Not all need resurrected just changed. Those still alive are instantly changed and caught up in the 1st heaven as He returns. Do you know the verse?

I want extra butter on my popcorn.
When Jesus explained the parable of the wheat and the tares that should have been the end of this discussion. With that being said, turn to 1st Corinthians 15:51
51.Behold, I shew you a mystery; WE shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52. In a moment in a twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, we shall all be changed. 53 For this corruptible mut put on incorruption, and the mortal must put on immortality. 54. So when the corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and the mortal must put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. 55. O death, where is thy sting? O grave where is thy sting? O grave where is thy victory? 56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. 57. But thanks be to God, through our Lord Jesus Christ Jesus Christ. 58. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
I want to go back to verse 51&52 We shall not all sleep: we are not all going to die before Jesus returns. There will be believers in the Lord Jesus Christ when He returns at the 7th trump, the last trump, the furthest one out.

Yes I know that verse. 1st Corinthians 15:52. Do you know why those that will be here on earth will be caught up in the air? So that we (they that are still here) can be with Jesus and those that are with Him when He puts His foot on the Mount of Olives and splits it making a valley where He will set up the millennial reign. You can find that verse in Zechariah 14.

I think of the rapture as a testimony to the Jews in the end times and to all who had heard of such a thing.
Just a thought not scriptural but if it does happen it surely won't go un noticed.
The way this world is today it seems it wouldn't be very hard to convince the wackos of a allien event.
The lines that are crossed in scripture that makes the text differ is the fact of being caught up rather than every eye sees.
The second coming of the Lord differs greatly than the event that Paul reveals which leads me to believe rapture is true.
On the other hand I dont believe its the whole church that is raptured but certain ones that have oil and are watching.

Yeah, the air/sky is the first heaven.

"For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first."

So the dead in Christ are resurrected. But then immediately after that...

"After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air."

"With them" refers to the saints and Christ. We will be changed and will go up to be with them. The whole gathering of saints, both resurrected and changed, is a witness to the world of the righteousness and authority of His people. We will then continue with the Lord as He comes down to the earth.

@ewq1938 The rapture is true because Paul taught it.

'Rapture'(believers are secretly taken up before the seven-year tribulation to avoid sufferings) was a 19th century invention by a guy John Nelson Darby. Rapture was not taught by St.Paul and certainly no biblical support.

Those that parrot the internet pharisees are wrong.
Here's the first video I found that proves it was taught in the 2nd century. I will look for others.

(Mark 13:24-27; Luke 21:25-28)

Obviously many Christians don't believe it's a lie, and not Bible truth.

What is the rapture???
The rapture is a non-Bible word, like Trinity, that is coined to describe a teaching, prophecy, event.

Specifically the rapture, I believe, is the resurrection and ascension to meet the Lord in the air, all at one moment of time.

However, the resurrection and immortal change of the saints on earth, is the only event that is specifically said to be in the twinkle of the eye.

If Jesus' own ascension in the sight of His disciples, as well as that of the two witnesses in the sight of all the people of the earth, is an example. Then when the Lord comes again, there's no reason why all the resurrected and changed saints on earth, won't also be seen ascending together to meet the Lord in the air.

If they come back with Jesus they must of been resurrected.
Since all the old and new Testament saints are resurrected on the air, and then taken up into the air, to meet Jesus at His return. Then they will ascend to meet Him, and then return to ground with Him at the battleground of Armageddon.

Nothing says, that it's the saints returning with Him from heaven, but only His armies. Which in Scripture include His legions of angels.

Once again. How do these verses debunk the rapture and taking away of the resurrected saints from the earth to the air, where they meet the returning Lord>

Or, do you have another kind of 'rapture' in mind? Or, maybe you believe in the rapture of the saints at His return?
