If you add someone to the list, does that mean that they can not see your threads or thread post as well as you not being able to see their posts, or does it just mean that you can not see their posts?

Just blocks theirs so you can't see them. I believe it blocks them from CCmails and other attempts to contact. But if someone quotes the ignored person, you can read what they post in the quote.

It ignores everything: CC, Facebook, Instagram, postcards, UPS and FedEx packages (but not DHL); everything.

I recommend trying the ignore button out on Nautilus just to make sure it's working correctly. Hehehe.
