Hello all!! Hope everyone is well, please please read and answer my Q, I’m really interested in your answers.

Q1. If the Father “alone” is the most high over all the earth and Jesus himself said to “only” worship the father, then why do people worship the Holy Spirit and Jesus along with the Father?

Darby Bible Translation (Psalms 83:18) “...That they may know that thou alone, whose name is Jehovah, art the Most High over all the earth...”

Aramaic Bible in Plain English (Luke 4:8) “Yeshua answered and said to him, “It is written: 'you shall worship THE LORD JEHOVAH your God, and him only you shall serve.' “

Q2. When Jesus said "It is written: 'you shall worship THE LORD JEHOVAH your God, and him ONLY you shall serve" did he also mean for that to be directed to himself and the Holy Spirit?

Deuteronomy 6:4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one
John 10:30 I and the Father are one
The LORD YHVH, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are 1 there is no other GOD

John 14:7-11 (KJV)
If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.

Deuteronomy 6:4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one
John 10:30 I and the Father are one
The LORD YHVH, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are 1 there is no other GOD

American Standard Version ( Deuteronomy 6:4) "Hear, O Israel: Jehovah our God is one Jehovah"

John 10:30 ---->(John 17:20-22) “I make request, [That] those putting faith in me through their word; in order that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in union with me and I am in union with you, that they also may be in one with us" Are the Apostles now part of the Trinity?

I, even I am the Lord, and beside me there is no savior. (Isaiah 43:10-11)

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given, and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called wonderful, counselor, the mighty God, the everlasting father, the Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6

Behold a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is God with us.
(Matthew 1:23)

In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God.

And the word was made flesh and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father) full of grace and truth.
(John !:1 & 14)

And Thomas answered and said unto him, "My Lord and my God."
(John 20:28)

John 10:30 ---->(John 17:20-22) “I make request, [That] those putting faith in me through their word; in order that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in union with me and I am in union with you, that they also may be in one with us" Are the Apostles now part of the Trinity?

This looks like an odd question but just in case you want a real answer. He is praying for unity between his children that we all be of one mind in our faith, truth and love of one another. At this time there are many denomination with different views on the word of GOD. That his children will know the whole truth and walk in unity with him and each other.

Matthew 22:35-39
35 Then one of them, a lawyer, asked Him a question, testing Him, and saying, 36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?” 37 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.

Trinity is truth. Arianism (held by for example the cult "Jehovah's witnesses") is a lie.
1Tim.3

[16] And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

There is more than sufficient Holy Scripture explaining the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are one. The word used to describe them as a unit, Trinity, is not found in the Holy Scriptures, but it seems to be the best term other than the generic term, God. They are One; One are They. Having read all of the Holy Scriptures with this particular study in mind, it is impossible not to know this.

GOD, JESUS, AND THE SPIRIT Have this in common they all stand for the same thing, making them all one. That one thing is this... LIFE(to be without sin). Satin is sin... God is life... what is life if satin is sin? God, Jesus, and the spirt all define one thing, that one thing is life. They all are the same because they all are without sin. So we worship them all because they all stand for life. And the definition of life is simply to live without sin!!! We need to walk away from sin and they show us the way, that is why we worship god, jesus, and the spirt as one.

thank you. I read that and it brought beautiful peace to my soul to see God directed you to answer this thread. God Bless

NWL, I wish you were posing this question sincerely seeking help, but my belief is that you are a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses, and that you do not truly seek to understand Christianity, but rather to trip us up, or, much worse, to cause doubt in the young in the faith.
I wish you would (finally) give an honest answer to a direct question:
Are you a Jehovah's Witness?
Thanks in advance for a truthful answer, and you should know ahead of time that I will assume the answer is "yes" if you answer not,
ellie

Look at my question, does it look like I am trying to trip people up? All I'm doing I quoting scripture and asking simple questions., I'm haven't even imposed my own ideas but simply used the bible.

It does not matter what church or organisation I'm from, what matters is that if my reasoning or any questions I ask are Biblical, and when I say biblical I mean ideas backed up by the bible with scriptual proof.

Am I genuine in my questions? Yes! If their is anyone that can answer them and base there answers on the bible within context of the scriptures then yes, I want to know.

Thanks for your answers everyone, however if there is anyone who can actually answer my questions directly then please do, so far I think all people have done is quote scriptures in a vain attempt to answer my question.

In answer to your question the answer is yes.

It does matter quite much if you are a Jehovah's witness as it would be relevant to the questions you ask and how you understand and reply to the answers you get. This is a forum. Not a private blog.

In answer to your question the answer is yes.

Glad to know.

Jesus is Jehovah.

By the Fathers Grace You Can Be Saved By Faith In His Son Jesus Christ. The only one who died for you and the only name under heaven which man must be saved. Acts 4;12 There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.”

Old Testament people were credit for their faith
Romans 4;3 For the Scriptures tell us, “Abraham believed God, and God counted him as righteous because of his faith.”[a]

but GOD the FATHER is JESUS in the FLESH and the HOLY SPIRIT is GOD that Resides on all believers.

Jehovah's witnesses can have serious questions, too. If he really wants to know why people pray to Jesus and the Holy Spirit, it comes from taking the doctrine of the Trinity too far. The trinity doctrine is that there are the persons contained in one God, namely the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Having been Catholic before I actually found the Lord, I was taught that the Father was too busy at times, so since Jesus was God (the second person of the Trinity) we could pray to Him as God which was probably a better idea, anyway, as the Father in the Old Testament was somewhat overly strict in His punishments, whereas Jesus lived as we do, and understood quite a lot better than the Father, who had never lived as we do and was never tempted. We could also pray to the Holy Spirit because He is called a comforter, and we have to make our needs and heartaches known to Him, as it is His function as God (the third person) to comfort us, and we have to tell Him what we need to be comforted for!

Most people who pray to all 3 don't take it to that extreme, but they still have similar thoughts even sub-conciously. The truth is, we are to PRAY to Jehovah, Adonai-Elohim, the Father. We can THANK Jesus for what He did, but thanking is not a prayer, and we ask God help us through the Holy Spirit, and possibly something like "I ask you to show me through Your Holy Spirit to show me how I cn help my brother or sister today."

Before I get hate mail from the Catholics reading this, I went to a Catholic grade school and a Catholic high school. I was in an old Polish neighborhood, and the nuns years ago were very outspoken to a neighborhood of somewhat superstitious children and families. I realize it wasn't that blatant in most other parishes, and today to come right out and teach that the way I said it is laughable, but back then it made perfect sense.

Before you ask, I am not a Jehovah's Witness, and I no longer claim to be a Catholic. I am a born again Christian, that's all. I said claim, because I will still be listed with the Catholic Church as a member until the Pope actually ex-commicates me, and I see no reason to bother the poor man with that. They can have me on their books. What matters is that I am in the Lord's book (of Life).

Name one title that is giving to Jehovah that can not be applied to Jesus Christ?
