Precious friends, for your Encouragement And Edification In Christ:

"...Berean Spirit...Complete Forgiveness...Completed Word Of God...Dispensation...
...Following Paul...The Revelation Of The Mystery...Gospel Of The Grace Of God...
...Rightly Dividing The Word Of Truth: ...We recognize that all Scripture is profitable
and we can learn lessons from the entire Bible (Rom. 15:4; 1 Cor. 10:1-11; 2 Tim. 3:16-17).
However, the failure of many Christians to practice dispensational Bible study and sharpen
spiritual discernment has led to much confusion and frustration as they try to mix these
great themes into one spiritual program. The result has led to a wide variety of cults,
legalism, ritualism, and strange religious practices. The Pauline teaching of
God’s Pure Grace leads to joy, peace, and spiritual stability." (credit: K. Lawson)

Paul's 'Distinctive' Terms?
...Following Paul...

"Time and again we have been warned against following human leaders.
In fact, many of today’s cults are perpetuated by doing this very thing.
Paul even says that choosing human leaders is an evidence of carnality
among Christians (1 Cor. 1:12; 3:4).

And yet, Paul is the only one in the New Testament, other than Christ, who
commands believers to “Follow me” (1 Cor. 4:16; 11:1; Phil. 3:17; 4:9; 2 Tim. 2:2).
Knowing that Paul is writing as he was moved by The Holy Spirit, how should we
reconcile this seeming contradiction?

Remember, that the ministry of Jesus, while on earth, was only to the lost sheep
of the house of Israel
according to their prophetic program (Matt. 10:5-6; 15:24;
Rom. 15:8). The words which He spoke to them were not His own but the words
which the Father gave Him to speak (Jn. 8:26-28,38).

Our Lord Jesus Christ also had a subsequent heavenly ministry from His
ascended glory. In that one, Paul was chosen by God to be the speaker of
Christ’s words to the Gentile world and to live it as an example to others.

The red letter Bible has been popular for years with the words of Jesus
printed in red. Few realize that, to get to The Words of our Lord Jesus for
today’s dispensation, you must go to the letters of Paul written to the Gentiles.

Paul was firmly against following human personalities with their teachings
and commandments of men. His ministry was not about that, but rather
The Divine Authority given to him as the Apostle of the Gentiles and
God’s spokesman for the Dispensation of the Grace of God.

If the believers missed that, they could not be established in the present
Grace Truth (Rom. 16:25)." (K. Lawson)

yet He told those He healed, and His own disciples, not to reveal Who He is or what He had done - - but told the woman at the well plainly He is the Messiah, and affirmed to Pilate the same: both of them gentiles. and of the centurion whose daughter He raised from the dead - another gentile - He said, He had found no greater faith in all of Israel.

we can't pretend He did not minister to gentiles. He in fact revealed Himself to them while He hid Himself from the Jews He ministered to, and this is exactly what Paul explains to us in, for example, Romans 9-10

Precious friend, yes, Jesus Had Contact With a few of them, and yet,
not pretending anything, we have:

"Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for The Truth
of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers:" (Romans 15:8 AV)
+
Further, we have His twelve apostles to Israel, doing The Following:

"...when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived
The Grace that was given unto me, they gave to me and Barnabas the
right hands of fellowship; that we should go unto the heathen, and
they unto the circumcision." (Galatians 2:9 AV)
Thus with This Info and so Much More, we Now Know the Following:

Joh 4:3 He left Judaea, and departed again into Galilee.

Joh 4:4 And he must needs go through Samaria.

Joh 4:9 Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.

Joh 4:14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

Joh 4:22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.

Joh 4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

Joh 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Joh 4:25 The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.

Joh 4:26 Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.

Joh 4:27 And upon this came his disciples, and marvelled that he talked with the woman: yet no man said, What seekest thou? or, Why talkest thou with her?

Jesus had to go through Samaria and by chance ran in to the woman.

He did not go there to specifically encounter her or anyone else.

Which is why the disciples marvelled that he talked with the woman.

Mat 8:5 And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him,
Mat 8:6 And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented.
Mat 8:7 And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him.

Jesus was not going to meet this man but the man came to Him asking for help.

Mat 8:28 And when he was come to the other side into the country of the Gergesenes, there met him two possessed with devils, coming out of the tombs, exceeding fierce, so that no man might pass by that way.
Mat 8:29 And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time?
Mat 8:30 And there was a good way off from them an herd of many swine feeding.
Mat 8:31 So the devils besought him, saying, If thou cast us out, suffer us to go away into the herd of swine.

Jesus ran in to them while He travelled not that He had a specific journey to encounter them.

Mat 15:21 Then Jesus went thence, and departed into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon.
Mat 15:22 And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.
Mat 15:23 But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.
Mat 15:24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
Mat 15:25 Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.
Mat 15:26 But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs.
Mat 15:27 And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.
Mat 15:28 Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.

Jesus did not have a specific mission to encounter her but she approached Him.

He said He was only sent to Israel but she persisted so Jesus healed her daughter.

Mat 15:29 And Jesus departed from thence, and came nigh unto the sea of Galilee; and went up into a mountain, and sat down there.
Mat 15:30 And great multitudes came unto him, having with them those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and cast them down at Jesus' feet; and he healed them:
Mat 15:31 Insomuch that the multitude wondered, when they saw the dumb to speak, the maimed to be whole, the lame to walk, and the blind to see: and they glorified the God of Israel.

Again the Gentiles came to Him.

Joh 12:20 And there were certain Greeks among them that came up to worship at the feast:
Joh 12:21 The same came therefore to Philip, which was of Bethsaida of Galilee, and desired him, saying, Sir, we would see Jesus.
Joh 12:22 Philip cometh and telleth Andrew: and again Andrew and Philip tell Jesus.

Again the Gentiles inquired of Jesus.

Jesus was only sent to the lost sheep of Israel and only deal with them like He told the woman at the well.

And did not specifically seek out them.

But He would encounter Gentiles while He travelled and if they approached Him wanting a blessing from Him then He would not turn them away because Jesus is still the Messiah of all.

Like God dealt with the nation of Israel and the word of God, commandments, covenant, and blessings were given to them.

But if the Gentiles approached unto that covenant God said they can take hold of that covenant and be blessed.

So Jesus ministered unto the Gentiles if they came to Him which is by way of a physical blessing.

But He did not minister unto them by speaking to them like He did the Jews concerning the truth.

With the exception of the woman at the well which He might of done that to get the word spread for they were half Jewish being an isolated incident with her.

And also they believed in the Messiah to come like the Jews did.

But all other encounters where they came to Him He did not speak of the things He told the Jews.

Jesus had to go through Samaria and by chance ran in to the woman.

He did not go there to specifically encounter her or anyone else.

why did He have to go through Samaria?
it's not the route most Jews would take.

He is omniscient, omnipotent God - - does He do anything by chance or randomly?

He knew everything about this woman including when she would go to a specific well, and He stayed outside the city while He sent His disciples into it without Him, and spoke with her privately with clarity and directness, but with the Jews He spoke in parables and with signs.

Precious friends, for your Encouragement And Edification In Christ:

"...Complete Forgiveness: Prior to the revelation given to Paul, God’s forgiveness
was always handed out piecemeal, i.e., in an installment program. Under the
Law of Moses, forgiveness was conditional and incomplete (2_Chron. 7:14).
The Israelites had to keep confessing their sins and offering animal sacrifices
to receive forgiveness. Even Jesus Christ ministered under the law, and His
teaching of forgiveness, while an advancement of the law, was conditioned
upon certain things (Matt._6:12,14-15; 18:34-35; Mk._11:25-26; Lk._6:37; 17:3-4).
This was law/kingdom forgiveness.
Under the dispensation of the Grace of God, we have the pleasure of declaring
that all of the sins of all genuine believers have been completely and eternally
forgiven (Acts_13:39; Rom._4:7-8; Eph._1:7; Col._2:13). We live in a state of
perpetual forgiveness." (credit: K. Lawson)

Let's actually look at these verses and see if any of them preclude visions or revelations from God.

1 Corinthians 2:9–10 (KJV)
But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

How does this prove your point at all?

1 Corinthians 13:10 (KJV)
But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.

Read this in context.

I Corinthians 13
10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

The perfect that is coming is something that will make Paul, first century Paul who was writing scripture, seem like a child in speech, understanding, thought, and in comparison to what that will be like after the perfect comes.

This reminds me of I John where it says we shall be like him for we shall see him as he is. Some time after thinking this, I read John Calvin's commentary on I Corinthians 13. He believed that this referred to death or the resurrection, and that it was stupid or foolish (depending on your translation) to say that this was fulfilled during the intervening time.

I think John Calvin might have called your interpretation stupid.

I Corinthians 1
5 That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge;
6 Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you:
7 So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:

Paul was preparing to write the rest of this epistle. It would speak of gifts of utterance and knowledge-- e.g. prophecy, tongues, interpretation, the word of knowledge.

Paul did not want them to come behind in any spiritual gift while waiting for Jesus to return. Apparently, you do, expecting gifts that are revelatory to disappear before Jesus came back.
Colossians 1:25 (KJV)
Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God;

Paul does not say here that there would be no more revelatory experiences. Could you draw the conclusion from this that John's Revelation was false? Do you believe Acts 2 or Joel 2 are wrong about handmaidens prophesying in the last days, or young men having visions or old men having dreams? What about the prophesying of the two witnesses in Revelation?

Paul's 'Distinctive' Terms?:

"...Completed Word of God: Many are claiming to experience visions and voices from God. But God says that His Word is complete and perfect (1_Cor. 2:9-10; 13:10; Col_1:25).
1 Corinthians 2:9-10 does not say or even hint that the word of God is complete and perfect.

1 Corinthians 13:10 also neither says nor hints at that.

Colossians 1:25 mentions "fulness" but it cannot mean "the completed word of God", because much of the New Testament was not written at that point. Paul's subject is the full meaning of the word of God as it was then available; in other words, what we call the Old Testament.

Many of the cults would never have taken root if this truth had been understood. Paul’s revelation of the Mystery was the final word from God adding to His revelation from the law, the Prophets, the Gospels, and Acts. It is the capstone of divine revelation and is fully sufficient for all things pertaining to life and godliness."
By posting this quote, you are claiming by implication that everything from Hebrews through Revelation is not Scripture.

Are you sure you want to affirm that?

As for visions and voices from God, careful examination of God's word will show you that God DOES still speak today. What many people (including all cessationists) get wrong is thinking that any communication from God is "Scripture". God doesn't say that, and His word proves it. When Jesus says in John 10, "My sheep hear My voice" does He mean "for a very few years after My death, while the NT is being penned"? Obviously, no.

THE KEY to understanding the writings/teachings is being able to understand the two styles he spoke/wrote in:

Thus sayeth the Lord: When he taught in this style it was THUS SAYETH THE LORD. No argument, no debate!

It would be better that, I would rather that: When he taught in this style, Paul was giving believers/the Church his best advice to live a Christ like life with the least of problems. These teachings were not/are not Commandments from God. Paul himself said as much.

Until one is able to understand which teaching is in which style, one can not understand Paul's teachings.

But being Berean wasn't good enough. Many Bereans rejected the truth also. They were just more noble than the Thessalonicans.

"Dispensation:

The word “dispensation” is a Biblical Word (1 Cor. 9:17; Eph. 1:10; 3:2; Col. 1:25)
and comes from the Greek word oikonomia, which literally means “house law.”
It signified the management of a house and so became used to express the
idea of a stewardship or administration.

In The Plan of God it refers to the dispensing or administering of new Truth to
govern man, a process that takes thousands of years. A dispensation in the Bible
covers a period of time in which man is tested in respect of obedience to a specific
revelation from God.

Most dispensationalists recognize seven biblical dispensations that are accompanied
by the Bible character to whom and by whom they were revealed. They are as follows:

(1) InnocenceAdam; (2) ConscienceAdam in sin; (3) Human GovernmentNoah;
(4) PromiseAbraham; (5) LawMoses; (6) GracePaul; and (7) KingdomChrist.

We are presently living in the dispensation (or administration) of The Grace of
God (Eph 3:2) and the ones that most affect New Testament studies are those
which precede and follow it—law (past) and kingdom (future).

Each dispensation ultimately ends in human failure and so demonstrates the
sinfulness of man without God and his continuing need of Him." (credit: K. Lawson)

This is that aspect of God’s good news that pertains to the mystery program and
the formation of the Church, the Body of Christ (Acts 20:24; Rom. 3:24; Eph. 3:5-8).

It requires personal faith in Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection (1 Cor. 15:3-4;

Gospel of the Kingdom, The:

This is that aspect of God’s good news that pertained to the kingdom program
with the establishment of the kingdom of God on earth and Israel’s Messiah
reigning upon David’s throne (2 Sam. 7:12-16; Lk. 1:32-33; Acts 2:29-30).

Its salvation required personal and national repentance and water baptism
(Mk. 16:16; Acts 2:38; 3:19) and confessing the name of Jesus that He is the
Christ, the Son of God (Matt. 16:16; Jn. 11:27; 20:31). It was first declared at
hand (i.e., near at hand—Matt. 3:2; 4:17; 10:5-7).

However, its establishment was contingent upon Israel receiving it in faith and
her willingness to become the channel of blessing to the world. Her golden
opportunity was ultimately squandered through unbelief and the gospel of
the kingdom awaits a future opportunity after the Rapture. Israel will be
willing in the day of His Power (Psa. 110:3; Isa. 66:18-20; Matt. 24:14)."

"Grace Reigning:

Grace, like faith, is present in every age and dispensation. But today the Holy
Scriptures portray grace as a king reigning on the throne (Rom. 5:20- 21). That
means that the Gift of Grace forms the basis of all of God’s dealing with mankind.

It reaches beyond certain individuals or nations and is extended to all people
everywhere. It refuses human merit and shines the spotlight of Glory upon Christ
and His Love as demonstrated in the Cross. It saves, seals, equips, motivates, and
gives the believer hope for the future.

In short, everything the Christian has or ever will have is a result of
the Grace of God (2 Cor. 8:9; Eph. 2:7; 1 Tim. 1:14)." (credit: K. Lawson)

"The Grace Walk:

While all of the Bible is for our learning and profit, only Paul’s Epistles contain
the revelation of our exalted position in Christ and unique instructions for the
Grace walk.

We may profit from the counsel concerning wise living from Proverbs or James,
but where do they explain the truth of how our union with Christ in His death,
burial, resurrection, and ascension to the Father’s right hand has set us free from
the sin nature to walk in newness of life?

Where do we find the mechanics of How The Spirit Of God Works “hand in glove”
With The Word Of God to impart power and Grace motivation to live lives
well-pleasing to God? The bulk of the teaching concerning the Grace walk is
contained in sanctification/holiness portions of the Book of Romans (chapters 6-8).

Interspersed throughout Paul’s letters there are little “snippets” of these
Truths sparkling like little gems [ * ] for our delight and enjoyment
These kinds of “life verses” have transformative power to change your
Christian life for good, lighten your load, and give you hope for the future."
