From the lowly park bench
One can view a great steeple.
It rises and adorns,
But can't hold any people.

Around the lowly park bench
There is room for all.
Yet nothing rises or decorates,
Like the tall, slender steeple.

Is your life like a park bench,
Inviting to people?
Or is it only embellishment,
Like the magnificent steeple?

I love the line from a Don Franscisco song: "I don't care how steep your steeple is.............." "Do you love your wife?"

We spend too much time on unimportant things. Don't know where it's from but I've always liked it...

Tis but one life.
Twill soon be passed.
Only what's done
For Jesus will last.

Brought back precious memories by brother and I had
inviting a co-worker [ in a wheelchair ] to a park picnic
table on The Lord's Day, and having a few hours of
wonderful Bible Truth discussion.

Thanks for the memories!😇

in the Christian realm, my life is inviting to people but not around here! lots of ungodly people, dead Christians & lacking excitement.
