Hi everyone! My name is Francesca and I'm 16! I am new here, and very new to Christianity. I am so happy that I have found God and I have been studying the Bible and praying every day every since. However, both my parents (and my sibling) are atheists, and although I have managed to persuade my father to let me be Christian, both of my parents absolutely hate me talking about it to them. As I live in the countryside cannot get to church without being driven (looking forward to when i'm 17! :) ), so I've joined CC to find advice on living as God wishes and on how to respect my parents without disrespecting God. At school, almost my whole year is Atheist so there isn't anyone to turn to there... I hope I can fit in here and make new friends! :)
 
stay firm in your belief. even when it seems hopeless and like no one is there for you God is using you to show all those people his love. I hear over and over again that YOU are the ONLY Jesus people will see. so you have to show them his love. even if they don't belive you at first or in years they'll see that you're not just "Trying out" some religion. that its serious and really works. that when you should get mad you don't because you have God. when you should be sad you're not because you have God. i'm not saying be fake or pretend but God does those kind of things. and when the see how God is changing your life people are going to attack your way of life. its not all sunshine and rainbows but they'll see that theres more to this "Jesus thing" then they're seeing. you're planting the seeds that God is going to help grow. even if you don't see it you're changing every single person's lives that you share even a little bit of God's love with.

Though you can't make it to church, you can still utilize the internet to find good sermons to hear. Look up some of these pastors and they will have online archives you can sift through

Welcome to the site! Glad to have you here :) and ugly is right, if you can't make it to church there are plenty of places online where you can find sermons and teachings. One recommendation I would make would be lifechurch.tv

Welcome to Christian Chat Cesca. Keep believing in your faith, and maybe there is a chance that when your parents will see how excited you are about God, and how determined you are, they may rethink being Atheist farther down the road.
