This is the basic ontbitjkoek recipe ^^

2 eggs
30 grams palm sugar
15 grams granulated sugar
30 grams all purpose flour
4 grams maizena
10 grams full cream milk powder
1/2-1 tsp spekuk powder (mix of cinnamon, nutmeg, etc)
20 grams butter ~ melt in low heat (not too hot it will lost its moisture)
Walnut for sprinkle

~ Mix eggs and sugar until thick/trace (not too long it will create much bubble and the end result will have much hole/pore, not too short it will deflated)
~ Strain dry ingredient and add into the batter
~ Add melt butter
~ Mix folded
~ Pour into 16x16x3 cm mold
~ Sprinkle some walnut (i like walnut so much!!!)
~ Oven and dont open your open until its done or it will deflated.. How long it takes depend on your oven.. usually it takes 15-20 minutes

This is a small recipe, so you can try and if you dont like it you're not wasting much ingredient.. But i hope you'll like it ^^

hely, mochi. How do you pronounce Ontbitjkoek?
You don't, because it's 'ontbijtkoek' not 'ontbitjkoek.' ;)

It's dutch, literally translated 'breakfast cake,' which doesn't make any sense, because you can eat it whenever you want, pref with some butter and a nice cup of coffee. It's real cheap too (at least here it is) but ofcourse it's much more fun to make it yourself. i think the pronounciation: 'aunt-bite-cook' comes close.

Sounds lovely, mochi. How do you pronounce Ontbitjkoek?
Ontbitjkoek sounds almost exactly the same as ontbijtkoek, which is Dutch for breakfast cookie. I wonder if Mochi knows this.
