I can't sleep. I haven't been able to sleep for a few days and I keep having really horrible nightmares. I've become terrified of the dark. I want to cry when all the lights go out. I've been praying.. Please share any prayers that you feel would help me. Or pray with me.. Thank you. God bless xx
 
Hey daphney! Nightmares huh? What kind of nightmares? Like ghosts or something? I used to have nightmares all the time! And it was horrible! It was about the devils chasing after me, and sweats are all over my body! I felt so scared and didnt want to go to bed that time! But not anymore! Because i used to be really lazy on praying :( well i still prayed but a really short prayer! Now, i pray like for 15 minutes! And before going to bed, i read the bible! Maybe you should try that too! Pray longer, and the bible. And I'm sure that God and His angels will protect you in your sleep! And will sleep like a baby! God Bless Youu! :)
 
The prayers should be something like this: Dear God, Thank you for the wonderful day today that you have given to us, I'm so sorry for the sins that i did today, *anything you wanna say*,Now i want to go to sleep, please bless me so that i could sleep well, and have a nice dream, and may tomorrow be even a better day for me and my family. Thank you Jesus, In the name of the Holy Spirit, Amen.

A few months ago I had that too. But then a friend of me told me not to be afraid, because it's not gods purpose for you.
The devil is pleased when you're afraid. His thing is succeed.
So why admit to the scared feelings?
It's difficult, but I know you can do this, with God.
Surrender yourself to God and pray for this.
I prayed for you too.
It will be okay.

I was going to say the same Channa. Fear motivates the devil! You have God with you and you have a whole army of angels on your side, what do you have to be afraid of!!!!? I am praying for you! Here are some verses to get your through your fears.

Psalm 27:1 says: The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the defense of my life; Whom shall I dread?
Isaiah 41:13 says: For I am the Lord your God, who holds your right hand and says to you "Do not fear, I will help you".
...And my personal favorite, Psalm 23:4: Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for you are with me. Your rod and your staff comfort me.

May I also hit you with a suggestion, pray until you fall asleep. Don't limit your pray to a certain time. When I am having fears, I pray to God not only to take them away, but I pray until I fall asleep. Just turn over your fears unto the Lord, and he will take care of them.
