What about it? Go all natural for arthritis? Special exercises? What foods to stay away from?

greetings, dancinglady :)

the dancing should help. somewhat counterintuitively, movement is helpful. a physical therapist to advise on the best type and how much?

you hear a lot about glucosamine and chondroitin. i'd check as to safe/theraputic levels.
and capsaicin cream, tumeric and avocado oil?

ultimately, most types of arthritis are inflammatory processes, so any anti-inflammatory diet ought to help.

and if i could, i wouldn't be above a little acetylsalicylic acid or one of the other NSAIDs from time to time if things were bad.

what are your thoughts? :)

I agree with all you say. I'm 76 and since I was in my late 60's, been using everything you suggested. I think with great success for developing arthritis. It has certainly kept it at bay. It does progress, though, regardless, and the above a=natural remedies now do not help..........as much. The horror of ageing and natural tendencies of life on this earth. No way to stop it, but there are ways (all of the above) to slow it down. Oh, yeah. I did do "ballroom" for many years as well, and have exercised for over 30 years. Still exercising, but it's painful. I'm not complaining, you understand. God has been good, and life is still good. But always looking for whatever I can do to stay and be healthy. I believe, as a Christian, that my body is a temple which houses the spirit of the living God, and I just want to give him the best place possible. Thanks for your post.

Don't crack your knuckles if you have arthritis (or if you don't) you'll wear away the cartilage in between joints/knuckles. Take some natural oils like evening primrose oil or even something like elderberry....it will help reduce inflammation.

If your joints crack or pop....try stretching them out with smooth movements....for example I have a knee that sometimes pops (no bone but just a ligament that pops) I stretch it, by bending my knee all the way to my chest and all the way to my rear it stretches the joint and makes it relaxed and less popping.
