Music can have a strong influence and effect, even the words in the music. It can be called 'Christian Rock', but if it excites the wrong kind of feelings or leads Christians to other forms of expressions that have nothing to do with singing for the glory of God, as has been the case of many former singers in the church choir, then you have to look at it as what it is. A temptation, a first step to further sin, a direction to living in the world and its lustful pleasures. It may look innocent at first, but the flow of its pull soon shows itself, and next thing you know you find yourself in the world and out of the church. So what is ok for Christians, and what is not...

Should be easy huh what ever gives in some way some how praise and glory to Him I mean all heaven and all creation sing and worship Him. Now me.. oh I love Music.. never 64y later still can't get enough. I was saved filled with the sweet holy Spirit at work listening to Acid Rock.. like it was yesterday and in one moment what I loved like we say.. I hated. We know all music is not bad but there is no middle ground here. I listen to all kinds of Christian music.. from rock to pure worship. For me..it has to.. has to point to Him in some way. Its one of the ways He talks to me. Take lol just a 2 weeks ago I think. Man I could not get this song out of my head/heart no it keep coming back. How I know it was from the lord.. one you just know that you know that you know and what helped was.. I don't care for this song AT ALL. Its of GOD is wonderful .. I just don't listen to Him

"Friends (are friends forever) - Michael W. Smith" great man of God but.. yeah none stop in my heart. Not to get of topic to much.. its like you out of no where think of someone or friend of family member...out of no where...Yeah that's God... pray for them or something.

I was on guitar with the worship team one Sunday when a first time visitor came to church. The man had come at the invitation of a neighbor. We found out later that he had planned to take his own life that day.

But after the worship service, he came up and told us how The Lord had spoken to him through the worship that day. God inhabits the praises of His people. He gave his life to Christ that day. He became an usher. Every Sunday he would dance like David in the isles.

Every worship song in history has been composed by an imperfect sinner. Yet God still uses sinners like us to bring Him glory.
