i'm plodding through day by day
but each one seems the same as yesterday.
is there no hope is there no change
or is everything always the same?
is there no meaning is there no change
or are we all doomed to repeat our yesterdays?

So tell me the reasons, i just want meaning,
proof that my days aren't wasted
yesterday and today are blurred
and tomorrow seems no different
just tell me why i am where i am that i am wrong
and this life isn't meaningless

I just want meaning my life is wasting
and i can't take the silence anymore
i want to scream but will anyone hear me
or will life just go on as it has before?
just tell me please tell me if you have an answer to my life
and tell me that this all isn't just one big lie

Meaningless i feel meaningless
i don't want to feel this way anymore
so tell me just tell me if you have an answer why
tomorrow oh tomorrow will maybe hold the reason
if i can just get past today and find the meaning to this life.

Ohh sweetiee. Jesus is your meaning and your purpose. He'll never let you down.

To know one's place in eternity, and to be sure of it, is to have achieved the ultimate position in life. To know where one goes when they die, to know of your place in heaven is secured, is to give you the power and the courage to fight off all the great evils of this world and to give you the strength to stand strong for those who know less about their eternal resting place. Find peace in God's promise of eternal life is to be able to face death. It allows one to enjoy the everyday things in life. It allows you to stop and contemplate on the little things. Find peace in knowing your salvation is complete, and you will find your purpose to lead others to the same place. If others don't find their home in heaven, then their souls are lost for eternity. Their lives would have been in vain. That is the purpose of a Christian: To spread the Gospel and warn of Hell to those who would not accept it. Otherwise, your purpose in life is to find eternal security. To be sure of your salvation if there is not peace in your heart. Ask questions. If God be faithful, He will answer them as long as you stay diligent to finding them. I pray you find your purpose.

You're not alone in that notion. I ask myself these questions all the time.

Maybe there is something missing from your life, ie. physical activities or a significant other? Look deep inside yourself; find out what that missing person/thing is and try to obtain it.

Best of luck. :)

Aw girl,

Nice poem, but don't be sad.

God bless you!

Now that's something I could have written (if I got around to writing stuff down). I think I know ery much how you are feeling

Like Beau said: try to find something to fill your life with, and what Silas said, seek the Lord. Make Him your purpose

I wasn't sure if you were simply posting a poem, or expressing how you feel, so I'll assume both.

Life can seem meaningless, even to the most devoted christians. I've often heard popular religious answers which gave me no direction, when pondering things such as purpose and meaning. I believe I have an answer for you.

We are responsible for attaching purpose to our lives. Someone once said, when I was first saved, "God has a plan for you". This is one of those statements that sound extremely profound, but lack substance. It can cause some to wait for an audible voice, an angelic visitation or a great vision, and others may do nothing, simply because God never laid out the great plan.

While God does have a plan for salvation and deliverence in our lives, each believer is responsible for helping to create their purpose. God has given each of us, gifts, talents and abilities, with which we are to become useful in His kingdom. We are supposed to be an active part in seeking out ways, with God's guidance, to serve in some capacity.

Your gift may be teaching, but a teacher of the bible who simply possesses an ability to teach, is without purpose, until he/she connects with a church, a bible college or some place that can utilize their gift. If we possess gifts in administration, wisdom, or preaching, these are dead until we connect with an organization, a group, or a church, through which these God given gifts and abilities can flow.

Faith, without corresponding works, is dead. Purpose and meaning requires that we take risks, pray for doors to open or for God to provide opportunities to exercise our gifts. Connecting our passion with a purpose is as much our responsibility as it is God's. This is what serving and purpose are about. This is fruitfulness, this is meaning.

John 15:16

...I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit...
