My home internet is 500 Mbpm; using Wi-Fi I still buffer. Our living room T.V. is hardwired and does not buffer but with Wi-Fi we still buffer. Would it help to go to the 1000 Mbpm our carrier offers or should I get the house wired to be able to have everything hard wired instead of using Wi-Fi? There is about a $40.00 difference a month; which would be the buy? Would I buffer on 1,000 Mbpm?

I'm not an expert by any means in this area. But speed can be affected by various things. But wifi is known for having a slower speed than plugging in directly.
And your use of mbpm is odd as well. Perhaps I'm just not knowledgable enough but I always hear it in seconds, not minutes. Even googling to see if i was just ignorant showed no uses of per minute.
But a speed test here showed 68 mbps. Times 5 that's still under 400 per minute. And this is more than needed for most home use. To go to a higher package would only be a help for people with more intense internet usage.
You could also consider your router/modem being the cause of wifi slowdown. It may need to be tweaked or replaced for improved speed.
That's my take with my limited knowledge on the topic.

I didn't "point out screw ups" since I did say maybe it was a real thing I didn't know about. I merely pointed out that it seemed odd to me and that I was unsure if it was purposeful or not. And if it was purposeful I was curious.
