There are many who lack money who love the Lord. The quote from the Word is "the love of money is the root of all evil."

In Proverbs we are told that money solves all problems. I know that one has a few hoes but the iidea is plain to see.

Thanks for the update, I have not been able to see to read for many yearst. This coupled with a little bit of laziness has kept me from listsening a lot to scripture reading but I do listen to the psots here. Oh, I did not read the title either, Mark Twain. Thaqt does sound like him a lot.

Not true. The lust for money is the root of all evil. Jordan Peterson is not a Christian but he is an astute observer of human nature. He saw that no matter how much someone had, they always wanted more. There is a void in the heart of man that only God can fill. People are never satisfied, apart being filled God's way. Ask any lottery winner. They will tell you how little happiness it brought them.
 
Although I am from Missouri, I do not like Mark Twain because he was always plagiarizing Samuel Clemens😉.
