I as well love contemporary Christian music, in my opinion God’s message in music isn’t stagnant just staying in one style. The psalmist in the OT had their style of music, Jesus and His disciples the last supper sung hymns before heading out to the garden surely was of another style of the times. Many people through out the Bible sang differently.
when new styles come long because of culture progression God’s message is there as well. when I read the Bible it’s quite amazing how messages written long ago speaks today of things around me in a modernized world. it takes sort of leap of faith sometimes to hear the messages, like what you mentioned about some saying it sounds devilish etc. reminds of a verse in the Bible that is similar in my opinion some hear it even today.
