Hey so I am a 16 year old male who was told about Christianity at the age of 9 by my aunty. I don't think I fully knew what it meant to be a Christian but I was set on the right path. But then I started to struggle with obsessive thoughts. Thoughts about going to hell and that I've sold my soul to satan. I would cry about it and I would message my cousin and aunty about it. My thoughts were so obsessive that I think I even said to myself 'i sell my soul to satan.' then I would cry about it thinking I actually did. This thought kinda left me but sometimes it creeps back and makes me doubt or rethink if I'm actually saved. Earlier I was trying to feel enlightened but I just couldn't. I kept feeling this darkness which brought me back to the thought again that what if I'm with satan and not Jesus. I've also struggled with doubt. I've struggled with doubt about Jesus if He is actually God or of satan. And I now that thinking this is VERY wrong which also makes me doubt my salvation. I have just feel disconnected with God. And I keep thinking that it might be because I never was connected and that there might be no chance.

First of all, it is IMPOSSIBLE to sell your soul to satan. GOD alone owns our souls, and He isn't in the business of selling saved souls to the enemy. :) If you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, and confessed with your mouth that you believe he died for our sins, then you are saved.. Jesus IS God, and satan is a fallen angel who once resided in heaven, but got prideful and envious and was booted out.. If you are saved, you are with God and nothing can separate you from him. :)

The bible talks about been spiritually dead, dead in our transgressions/sin.
When we accept Jesus as our saviour, we become spiritually alive.

There is no instance in the bible of selling your soul to the devil. That
is only in made up TV programmes and horror movies.

Ephesians 2:4-10 NLT
[4] But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, [5] that even though
we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from
the dead. (It is only by God's grace that you have been saved!)

[6] For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him
in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus. [7] So God
can point to us in all future ages as examples of the incredible wealth of his
grace and kindness toward us, as shown in all he has done for us who are
united with Christ Jesus.

[8] God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can't take credit
for this; it is a gift from God. [9] Salvation is not a reward for the good things
we have done, so none of us can boast about it. [10] For we are God's masterpiece.
He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned
for us long ago.

It takes more to sell your soul to satan and even if you did that, (which is way more complicated) God can still get you out of it. Dont let the enemy confuse you and put false thoughts and all into you. God has chosen you as one of his and with that your his and I am sure when you come to him he will not turn away from you
[h=1]James 4:7King James Version (KJV)[/h]7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Re:

As someone with OCD and had these same experiences, id suggest seeking help. By the sounds of it you have OCD and they have medication and or other tools that can help you out here. I wish you the best of luck, ive been there.

Hi Ges,

Your post caught my eye :). I want you to know that doubt is what the devil uses to keep you from getting close to God ; why? Because Ges if you are fully Sold out for Jesus you are going to rake havoc on his plans :). The bible says Great is HE that is IN you then he ( the devil) that is in the world. Did you ask Jesus to forgive you of all your sins ? did you confess those sins to HIm? Did you ask HIM to save you and be Lord of your life ? If you did your saved :)/ Rom 10:9-10
buT YOU HAVE TO TRUST in gOD THAT he DID IT :) IT'S CALLED FAITH SO WHEN ANYTHING COMES INTO YOUR MIND THAT SPEAKS AGAINST what God says IT IS a LIE :)

here is what you need to do immediately ok :) or as many as you can .

1. Pray and when you do speak to God your father in the name of Jesus meaning start with Father god I come to you in Jesus name then make your request or pray for someone else.
2. You got to study the Word of God everyday 20 mins read and pray before asking God to help you understand read Proverbs 3 and 6 and pray after you read thanking HIM for HIS answers even if you have not got it. it's a faith thing :)
3. You got to fellowship with Mature Believers, speak to your pastor and go to church ask God to Help HE will! :).

You are going to be fine trust Jesus , don't listen to the devil ( he lies everyday) , and develop your relationship with Jesus .

I am praying for you , God is for you nothing can stop you

You have a beautiful opportunity. You are young enough that none of the opinionated stuff shoved at the small child you were has to stick to you now. (You see, just recently, what much of it is already starting to do to you.)

We have a few kids here who are already on their way down the path you've experienced because they don't recognize the golden opportunity standing right in front of them to avoid getting more firmly locked into "what they are supposed to believe."

Start, right now to study for yourself. It will be the best thing you could ever do for yourself.

On another thread related to health, I mentioned mudras which are an ancient form of hand exercise practiced since time immemorial. If you google Jesus doing mudras you will find him doing "Surya Ravi" or "Prithvi" mudras more often than any other for those first few centuries of art work in which he was portrayed:

Now I realize that some here view this as paganism but that would be in error as this exercise is natural to humanity, not a sign of paganistic worship. Doing this one in particular is important because it reminds that we are instructed to love ourselves in the Bible. Love that is not haughty but a recognition of divine birth. And because of that we are instructed to love others as ourselves because they, too, are of divine origin. To historians it comes as no surprise that Jesus would be portrayed exhibiting self love because it leads to loving others which is exactly what he taught.

Once you do recognize the importance of that type of self love, you will soon erase the doubts and fears of Satan.
