Isaiah 13

The burden against Babylon which Isaiah the son of Amoz saw.

2“Lift up a banner on the high mountain,
Raise your voice to them;
Wave your hand, that they may enter the gates of the nobles.
3I have commanded My sanctified ones;
I have also called My mighty ones for My anger—
Those who rejoice in My exaltation.”

4The noise of a multitude in the mountains,
Like that of many people!
A tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of nations gathered together!
The Lord of hosts musters
The army for battle.
5They come from a far country,
From the end of heaven—
The Lord and His weapons of indignation,
To destroy the whole land.
6Wail, for the day of the Lord is at hand!
It will come as destruction from the Almighty.
7Therefore all hands will be limp,
Every man’s heart will melt,
8And they will be afraid.
Pangs and sorrows will take hold of them;
They will be in pain as a woman in childbirth;

They will be amazed at one another;
Their faces will be like flames.
9Behold, the day of the Lord comes,
Cruel, with both wrath and fierce anger,
To lay the land desolate;
And He will destroy its sinners from it.
10For the stars of heaven and their constellations
Will not give their light;
The sun will be darkened in its going forth,
And the moon will not cause its light to shine.

11“I will punish the world for its evil,
And the wicked for their iniquity;
I will halt the arrogance of the proud,
And will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.
12I will make a mortal more rare than fine gold,
A man more than the golden wedge of Ophir.
13Therefore I will shake the heavens,
And the earth will move out of her place,
In the wrath of the Lord of hosts
And in the day of His fierce anger.

14It shall be as the hunted gazelle,
And as a sheep that no man [f]takes up;
Every man will turn to his own people,
And everyone will flee to his own land.
15Everyone who is found will be thrust through,
And everyone who is captured will fall by the sword.
16Their children also will be dashed to pieces before their eyes;
Their houses will be plundered
And their wives ravished.

Nothing about the second coming, nothing about the church, nothing about the rapture. Rapturemania running wild brother!

The title itself lays it out, its a judgment, apocalyptic doom for Babylon.

Come to think of it, wasn't the rapture supposed to be a "Mystery only revealed to Paul" yet now its all over the OT as well? The classic.

Those who sleep willl be gathered up to Jesus Yeshua on the clouds followed immediately by those who are yet awake, and they shall come down with Jesus Yeshua as resurrected, all.

It all depends on how you read statements like Matt 11:11Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. Why is he called least to least in at least believe enough inside yourself!
Paul did remind where and what pleases God in you,
Romans 2:28For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: 29But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.
Also reminded intelligence of man was thinking Spirit was foolish by what it is dealing with heart and discounting flesh. 1Cor 1:19For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
20Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? 21For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. 22For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:
Luke 17: (Was a Spiritual HINT) 20And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: 21Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.
Reading the Bible stories has outside secular history blinds hints about truth being in you is defeated by flesh great interpretation that man embraces has taught opposites to allegorical meanings by Paul with no time or seasons.
Phil 2:5Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

I must comment on this quote.

Does anyone believe this reference to a Jew is to a denomination and not toe the meaning or translation of the word?

If so, he is in grave error, for the first thinking is only placing a denomination on the Tribe, one of Twelve, of Israel.

A Jew is exactly what Paul has described above which is all of Israel, including those grafted into Israel, that is including that other Flock joined to that original Flock.
It is good that all know this.

If you do not know this, by all means please learn what Paul is saying for the sake of peace with all believers of Jesus Yeshua

well the many hints like that your a temple of God with the next hint was not only in Christ but also
in you and keep grasping what that means to our rebirth being just babies but ahead of Great first born still looking outside for being Jew by control of proof that was seen by others, Paul said its no longer needed for second birth by Spirit is not repeating religious shown by statues, cross, anything built by hands is flesh and bloods needing dead images. Unaware Christ was in them.
The amount of religious popular worship outside themselves is natural beliefs that build temples, and sacrifice animals they thought was Spirit message outside your behaviors when it always about in you.

We are become the translation of Judah, but not of that tribe aside from being members of the Body of Yeshua.

Anyone who would like to be confused drather than understand will do so I am afraid.

While this passage is addressed to Babylon, it has a much wide application, since the Day of the LORD is also included (v 6). Verse 3 corresponds to the fact that Christ will return with His armies of saints and angels at His Second Coming. That will be preceded by "the stars of heaven and their constellations will not give their light; the sun will be darkened in its going forth, and the moon will not cause its light to shine (vv 10, 13).

This is exactly what we find in the Olivet Discourse. So "the raptured Church" is in fact included with the saints and angels who descend to earth at that time. They are metaphorically called "clouds" in Scripture because they appear as brilliant white clouds as seen from the earth.

What part do you think describes the raptured church returning with Jesus? I don't really see it.

For Christ purified suffering eliminated that man is free from experience of good and evil is cured is a challenge few can claim freedom is their rare victory by never facing reality.

All who are gifted with faith, hope and love are prepared for the Father to call upon them, to live or to die. We are already dead to sin because of our Savior. Continue in Him and we will be prepared for whatever His will is for each of us.

I am no hero, not a particularly valiant one, but He Who resides in each of us is All. God bless you.

John of the Apocalypse is unique among all the Jewish writers apart from Paul in recognising 2 resurrections. All Jewish writers old and new pass over the rap. Isaiah is speaking about the last battle.

Bless you! Ecclesiastes 3:15: “That which is, already has been; that which is to be, already has been; and God seeks what has been driven away.” The “natural man” cannot grasp that, for to him reality is based only on the evidence of the senses. The man of reason could justify the verse’s end, saying if it has any meaning then the writer must mean recurrence. The sun comes every day and the moon completes its cycle and the seasons come and go. If we took a picture of the universe today, the scientists can compute how long it will take to return to this point in the picture. So the intellectual man could justify the verse; but that is not what is meant, for it is addressed not to the man of reason or the man of sense, but to the man of Imagination. What is it all about? “That which is, already has been; that which is to be, already has been, and God seeks what has been driven away.”

It seems that time and all events may be compared to a mural in the eyes of our Maker, for He is restricted by nothing.
As for scientists and intellectuals, any approaching their Maker as though being such is the equivalent of having credentials to do so will be sorely confused by His reality and actual truth.

Isaiah 13:4, his sanctified ones are his Two Witnesses of Revelation,and his mighty ones are the 144,000.
13:4 is connected to Revelation 14, and Revelation 11.
His sanctified ones are the OT/NT.
