These 2 have all the material things they really need to live.freedom copy.jpg

The less we have the less stress we have imho. Learn to be content with what we have said Paul.
A second application is the less sin we hold onto the less burdened we will be.

Shown is Alan Kemptser. He was an australian motorcycle racer. He rode the streets as well as the track. In 1999 he was sideswiped by a drunk driver on his left side loosing his arm at the socket and leg a few inches from this hip socket. He made a come back despite his injuries and raced competitively for several years. Even winning some races. He passed away in 2018 from something non bike related. There are several videos online of him racing and working on his bike.

The throttle was moved to the left handlebar. Clutch stayed as is. The front brake lever was changed to a slide button.
He needed assistance only when stopping in the pits.

I did not take these shots.

Please feel free to post your own.
Sometimes what we perceive as inspirational is a reflection of our own personal journey.
This is a reflection of mine.

A while back you posted a photo you took on our Extreme Sports thread if I remember correctly. It showed a racer rounding a curve with only one hand on the bar. I saw what I thought was his other arm back to his side. I didn't know it then, but must've been this same guy racing with only one arm! Amazing, I didn't know that! I thought that it strange that he'd take the risk of trailing his arm. That was just his sleeve. 😮

They were different racers. The man missing his arm and leg is Austrailian. The one riding with just one hand on the handlebar was taken at Daytona and is from Penn I think.

In a bible study, the class was shown a picture that was a person at the instant they knew the truth and understood they were lost forever. We were challenged to find an opposite picture, one of a person at the moment they saw heaven and knew it was their eternal destination.

This was my favorite picture from that challenge. We can be broken by life, battered and abused; unable to rise out of bed with matted hair and broken teeth but we are never lost.
